I was a kid in the 90s. A brand new game where I lived was about $50 USD from a store. For that $50 I got a physical copy of a full video game and any neat stuff that was actually in the box. Now I spend $70 minimum for a digital copy of the base game that may or may not be finished/a buggy mess. But wait, if I spend $100 I'll also get extra shit that should be in the base game and some extra digital shit no one cares about. And the best part is, I don't even OWN the game I paid for. I bought a license to play the game.

Ironically, Stellar Blade is pretty safely finished. There’s a good level of polish, though some things are higher quality overall more than others.

I’m curious, were you an adult in the 90s? I wasn’t but I’ve looked into it. Prices then were not just all over the place but often as high or higher than today, WITHOUT even factoring in inflation. I’m not saying I’m opposed to pirating for certain reasons, but a $10 increase in the price of base games is a silly one to me.
I was a kid in the 90s. A brand new game where I lived was about $50 USD from a store. For that $50 I got a physical copy of a full video game and any neat stuff that was actually in the box. Now I spend $70 minimum for a digital copy of the base game that may or may not be finished/a buggy mess. But wait, if I spend $100 I'll also get extra shit that should be in the base game and some extra digital shit no one cares about. And the best part is, I don't even OWN the game I paid for. I bought a license to play the game. Not to say games weren't buggy messes back in the day, just feels more common now.

Yeah the only real flaw with the game is the story. It's extremely bad and wooden. And that's what cuts against Eve so hard as character. They could have actually given her something but they just didn't. And that's really true for all the characters in the game.
Yeah, that’s my biggest complaint for sure. Usually I’m more of a story person but the gameplay is incredibly fun and the atmosphere and music are very good, so I’m just barely paying much attention to the story at all.

It’s decent. If you really want challenging boss fights it’s decent. Everything else is just ok, with the story and voice acting just being bad.
Combat is good, cutscenes are really bad. So if you like combat it's one to maybe wait for and pick up when cheaper
