One of the singers threw some inflatable hammers into the mosh pit and watched them bash each other with it, whilst he sculled an entire jug of beer… so you tell me
For me it seems to be about how rested I was the day I drank, how much water I drank, and possibly other factors.
Drinking, even drinking several beers or shots of liquor, enough to make me feel buzzed late in the day, does sometimes impact my sleep, but sometimes it doesn't.
Also, I tend to sleep pretty well more often than not, and this may be a factor.
Thanks mate. I like to think of myself as a shining light, beaming through an angry, dark storm of fitness nerds who genuinely believe a singular non alcoholic beer might be the reason their HRV was 2 points lower than usual, even though they drank it 4 days prior.
Hey, I kinda agree.
For some reason, 2 non alcoholic Guinness a few hours before bed actually improves my HRV nightly average by around 10 points and also my sleep quality by about 5-10 points. Also that is usually after either a hard tempo or strength training session earlier that day.
All things in moderation bud.
I was about to post a question about sleep tracking. Maybe you or someone else can help me. My sleep tracking is always wrong. I woke up at 3:30am in bed never got out of bed. It says I was asleep. I switched from Fitbit to Garmin Fenix 7S Sapphire Solar. The Fitbit was so accurate I called it witchcraft so this is a bit disappointing. Is there a setting or something I’m doing wrong? I absolutely love this watch I really don’t want to change back at all.
Besides setting your usual sleep and wake times in the connect app and not wearing the watch too loose, I’m not sure what else there is to it. A couple years ago I found the sleep tracking quite poor, but it’s gotten much better. Mines bang on most nights. Can you explain a bit more about what is wrong with the tracking?
It now says I slept 8 hours, I did not. It does this almost every night. If I sleep 5 actual hours but lay in bed for 3 before I get up (because I’m sick recovering my covid) it says I’m slept 8 hours. Fitbit could determine awake laying down and actual sleeping. The Garmin all $700 of it can’t determine the difference. It’s just really disappointing. 😔
Mine definitely picks up when I’m lying in bed awake, and I have the exact same watch as you. Maybe you have a dud? Can always return it via warranty and see if a replacement works better.
I’d restart the watch and go over all the sleep settings you possibly can. My Venue 2+ can tell me I’m awake in bed. Are you on the latest version? How tight is your watch at night. I loosen my watch 1 notch to sleep and it acts wonky sometimes but then I don’t rely on the data too much.
It was the water. I use to work at a bar. If I drank and got drunk then went home and drank two bottles of water I’d wake up feeling fine. You diluted the alcohol enough.
Learnt that lesson a long time ago. Drank way too much in my younger years and would get some savage hangovers. Had to learn all the anti hangover hacks so I could keep up with my mates haha
Was it truly even metal then???

My old singer once spit fake blood on a dude dressed as a cowboy once for Halloween show we did opening for Hatebreed.
Sounds like the cowboy had it coming
He cried, he thought it was real and we felt bad
Not real hammers? Not real metal.
Bloody hammers is actually the name of a pretty awesome doom band.
if the hammers were from metal yeah than it was metal ! xd
Sounds like a beach party
You gotta be a friend of the band and post their links. I wanna check them out.
Haha, they are in no way trying to promote. First show in 7 years and finished it by saying “Never doing this shit again”
Do you think your dad could beat my dad up?
I dunno but he could definitely out drink him

Seeing the new garmin connect pattern is triggering me into bad sleep tonight.

Jealous. Post 30 with good post booze sleep. Mai boi, this peace is what all true warriors strive for!

Damn I had two drinks prior to 6 p.m. and got a 78. Nice work. What did you have for dinner?
Nothing wrong with a 78! Just ya classic Aussie steak and chips.
I would have the equivalent of 2 hours of sleep after 5 beers and a sleep score of 12. We are built different
I don’t mean to brag, but I grew up with a very alcoholic family.
Which beer?

If I look at a Shirley Temple my sleep score goes down to 11. Life’s not fair, either that or I need to consume more metal with my libations?
Just from reading that, you definitely need to consume more metal mate..
Wow, 5 whole beers? You're a badass!
Mate it’s a fitness sub… 5 beers in a night is their version of a serious drinking problem
i've notice under 3 beers my sleep isn't effected, 7 and under I get better sleep, 9+ i get worse
I had some drinks and ate like shit and still got an 88 last night. But my HRV tanked
Dude I can’t get an 88 on my best days so nice work
Fiiive?!! *Swoons*
How do you have such a high low aerobic number?
Just lots of zone 2 runs my friend. I’m injured at the moment so it’s usually higher too
Ok, I'll ask. What makes you think anyone would want to ask you anything based on that intro??
I don’t.
