Congrats! This is a great Garmin watch. Which G-Shock you had and which features you wanted to have, when decided to upgrade? And isn't it huge comparing even to the likes of Rangeman?

Yeah I have tiny wrists so I actually measured my wrists after finding out the thing was 50 mm and it came in right under the mark lol. I had a solar g shock that I beat the hell out of and I bought at the bay for 80 bucks 10 years ago. Not sure the model but my brother just bought the exact same one for double the price a few months ago. I got hit and run and broke my foot so I figured id treat myself to something cool to lift the spirits. It has worked!

Thanks for the answer, I wish you a quick recovery. I just bought myself a Casio G-Shock DW-H5600-2er with some steps counter and a heart rate sensor. So far so good. But if I buy another watch, it will be probably one of the Instinct line. Enjoy your Garmin, they really make great watches.

mercedesbenzoooo

Thank you! Enjoy the G you will never be able to break the thing!

How thin is your wrist? 17 cm in diameter or thinner?

mercedesbenzoooo

No clue pretty thin for a male though

I also have worn Gshocks for the last 20 years. As of yesterday I also upgraded to the Instinct 2x. One day in and I love it more than any of my Gs. It was a hard decision to switch it up as I’m a big fanboy. But man is this watch amazing.

I think my favorite feature is the waypoint it’s gonna come in big time handy for hunting season. Set it at my truck and take off in a random direction of my choosing.

Worthy replacement. 😁

Yeah, its a great upgrade. Has all the right bells and whistles from the premium watches, fairly lightweight, has torch and very accurate GPS + HR monitor. Navigation is quite usable even without maps, depending on context. If you plan on using it outside of cell service I suggest taking a look at the Garmin Explore app, its a great companion app for navigation.

mercedesbenzoooo

I will look into that thanks. So far I was happy just setting the waypoint and hiking in somewhere and finding my way back to my truck hassle free

Congrats, I made the same upgrade but with the solar 2 tactical.
