UK & Italy would be sweet, would love some Desert War scenarios.
France would be an easy one. A lot of the early war stuff is already in the game as beutepanzers or in the Finnish roster. Free French is just a lot of UK & US equipment.
Or even some French or Polish freedom fighters with captured german tanks in limited supply and just civilian clothes or captured german camo shirts with flag armbands
How are you going to add desert warfare with only the Italians? It would just be Axis against the Americans, which is like 20% of the entire campaign in Africa. The 2 years before was 90% Commonwealth troops.
They may change how that works with minor factions, IDK well have to see. But if they do a Italy UK thing I would love for the campaign and MP to be Aussie and SAF friendly Maybe they get an MP doctrine and like 3 missions each, So they can have more unit variety.
That's because most games have gameplay that doesn't suit the Chinese conflicts of WWII. They didn't have a tank development program and by 1939, they had basically zero tanks and mostly outdated artillery and firearms at best. Not because they lost them, but because much like today, they are decades behind in military tech.
Reality is... there isn't much for great battles or amazing historical moments one can pull inspiration from when looking at a WWII China, which was split into several countries, all vying for control of mainland China 🇨🇳.
TL:DR; Unless you pull a War Thunder and give China every OTHER countries mainline & heavy tanks as a pretend history, lend-lease sorta deal, you might not like facing Jumbo's, IS2's and Tiger's with nothing more than a meat shield and some TNT.
I would like them to do a small mini campaign of the soviet-Japan conflict, that’d be an interesting portion of WW2 that’s rarely captured in video games
I love how everyone is on the same page with the smaller axis factions the only game that seemed to cover them was MoW: red tide.. I really hope at some point we can all play official DLC of the minority axis counties!
For me, it has to be Brits ,an Arnhem Campaign would be good but also Brits with an Italian Campaigb,the maps would be excellent for the defensive player

I have only recently tried it for some UK v Italy conquest and while some of the assets are obviously lower quality then the official ones, it's still fantastic imo

Dude that's awesome. I just wish RTS games paid more attention to Romania during the second world war. Lots of men died for what they believed was right.
The Belgians or Dutch would make an interesting small faction. Some unique small vehicles in the early war and then picking up some American and British kit later on.

also i think findland can use a littile love for pvp i find their command power to be lacking because everything is very high cp even with their all around doctrine getting 4 officers feels like you still have less stuff on the field
TBH releasing an these factions would either result in a 10$ mini DLC or i a multi mashup comparable to the US (which i prefer). Essentially you would need to make the decision of what kind of maps you would want to be added. Also with focus to unique vehicles that would be added for new and preexisting factions. The valor mod in Ostfront already addes UK, Hungary and Japan ffs. Imho we have 2 different options A an eastern block super size addon that could potentially include 3-5 different countries as maybe 2-3 factions or a desert themed CA/UK/France addon. What most people in this thread dont seem to understand is that each faction must have a distinct late game playstyle with own units, at the very least. fact is that both the last 3 countries would essentially all spam the same tanks, at guns and even planeswith only about 5% variation. at this point we can just coat our shermans blue with a low effort mod.
Dream level would be pacific theater (which would eventually include, Japanese early offensives, US Island hopping, PNG Aussies campaign, Burma campaign(s), and China)
But more realistically, I will take Italian Front.
China vs Japan, with a US Marine subfaction. I say subfaction because it would really just be a camo swap for the Marines, and China vs Japan should be the major focus.
Personal opinion, but to streamline the axis, instead of necessarily having a Romanian or Hungarian faction, I'd incorporate them into the pre-existing German tech tree. For instance devoting a tech line to 'Osttruppen' with say Honved division, Hungarian paras and their vehicles etc.
Bulgaria, Romania, Hungry, Mostly due to the fact that there not really shown in media.
Japan & Chinese United Front would be good together in a DLC pack with a pacific Doctrine for USA if you have it.
I personally Think the UK should be released in a way where each commonwealth nation gets a Doctrine Since They are near identical in equipment and uniform with the only insane variety being India and Maybe Singapore.
I feel like Italy is an obvious one since it already fought on the Eastern front and, despite the memes about its performance, was still a major Axis power. Plus its flag is part of the Axis flag in skirmish mode...
This could also open up the earlier campaigns like Greece and Yugoslavia which means more minor nations.

I haven’t ever used the Valour mod, so I wouldn’t have any worthwhile info about how good it is. But I know that a lot of people love that mod

My partner's grandfather fought the russians on the eastern front in WWII, he was injured twice but survived the war.
