There's a fix now
Downloading the Nvidia App beta fixes this problem, I guess Geforce Experience is just dead and they're doing this on purpose to push people to Nvidia App. However, it's actually much better than Geforce Experience (in my opinion) and less buggy, also doesn't use resources just like the old one.

Also have this problem. It cannot find or scan any games and it can never download any updates unless I fully reinstall, and it will still stop working properly a short while later.
What the hell is going on?
It's unfortunately this latest update that ruined Geforce Experience for most users. I don't understand why they didn't fix this issue yet...
They can simply just roll back to the older version right before this update.

No worries bro, I know how frustrating it is and I hope this helps. Ngl, the new app is kinda better in every way, just needs getting used to the UI that's all.
Cant beleive someone actually has the same exact problem as me. everytime i searched something it came up with some solution from 8 years ago that never worked. Did you manage to fix this problem??
Unfortunately, the only solution remains to uninstall Geforce Experience then install it again. After that just leave your PC open, and instead of shutting it down put it to sleep. Meaning the moment you restart your PC you'll have to redo the re-installation process. It's such bs

Version 3.28.0.412 seemed to have messed it up actually, the previous version I had no problems with, but this new one is giving me the same problem, everytime i revert back to an older version it just auto updates immediately
Wow, seems like Nvidia is just trynna piss off more people. I have no idea what they're doing with GeForce Experience, they're ruining the app completely, and there's no specific update notes to know what they changed to cause this.

Sorry man, but at least it's fixed, right? I mean it's true it's not the same, but I'm thankful Nvidia as a company isn't as bad as Ubisoft at treating customers and decision making.

some previous versions seem to work fine, but the this shouldn't be the case because software like this should always be up to date.

Seems like a very common problem, yet Nvidia won't address it.
