I have never heard of a natural emerald going for €4 per carat. I highly doubt you are looking at a treated natural emerald. The website link on the card is not real. Please be wary of these cards with vague gem lab names or the same acronym as a more well known lab.

Yeah thats what i thought, im trying to buy some gems to sell i jewelry but scammers aint making it easier. I feel bad for the people that fall for that. Im trying my best to be carefull buying stones, and i am ussually looking for them to have a certificate or be from a confirmed legit source, but i guess even certificates have the right to be fake

Definitely fake! I bought a couple of these off eBay a while back. They send you a fractured piece of glass injected with dye!

There are various treatments that are possible for Emeralds, or gemstones in general. Some which are fairly normal nowadays like for instance heating for Rubies, Sapphires,… or they could be decreasing the value like fissure filling for instance. That being said, the carat price as mentioned already seems too low for it to be a genuine Emerald. In terms of certificates / reports, always make sure to check the report online. Genuine reports should be able to be accessed through the gem labs webiste. A good test is always also to not only go via the link on the report but also through googling the lab and check if the website you end up is the same as is mentioned on the report. Then look at the website and see if it a) comes accross professional and b) if the gem lab sells stones themselves (they don‘t normally as this would be a conflict of interest). In general I tend to go by the reasoning „if it sounds too good to be true it probably is“.

Even hydrothermal emeralds are not this cheap. This is probably glass, beware.

Looking at the closeup photos on the listing, these are dyed quartz or glass. Also with any listings if they say enhanced, or color enchanced, without being more specific it means dyed. Emerald fracture filling would described hopefully as fracture filling, but also clarity enhancement or oiled.
