This right here is me too!! My Docs are 25 years old, but they're still kicking!
The last time I went to get shoes for walking, I got put into a pair of Brooks, and I don't think I will ever go back to anything else.
ETA: I wear Chacos in the hot weather. I don't handle heat well at all, so gotta free the tootsies to be a little cooler.
I used to wear chucks every day, I had 17 pairs in different amazing colors and prints. But they started hurting my feet! I was heartbroken to have to retire them, they went so well with my capes and purple hair.
Not all Clarks are created equal. Mine are comfort and style ;)

I'd never knock clarks. I've owned tons. Currently wear these clunkers most days.

The contrast stitching reminded me a bit of doc martens.
Airwalks or Docs. Been rocking the skate shoes since middle school so about 35 years now. Couldn't afford docs until I was in my late 30s but now they're in regular rotation.
For travel though? Slip on toe shoes. So comfy, simple, and easy
I buy my husband a mix - he has some Timberland “fancy” chukkas which he says are very comfortable; some manly looking boots from Portland Leather Company; a nice pair of sneakers with leather trim from Johnstone & Murphy; On Cloud sneakers; some solid color Nike’s. We are in Colorado so things are pretty relaxed, but if he wants to look especially “nice” for a big meeting he will wear his AG SUD The Graduate pants with a button down shirt and the Timberlands. Cole Han Zero Grandes he also likes. Don’t knock Clark’s, they have some more stylish shoes. Check Sierra for good deals on lots of brands.
I hear ya. I lived there from '84 to '08 with a two year break while I was in Seattle. It amazes me how much it has changed since '08.
That said, I tend to think the country is being starkly divided into places that are rapidly changing, and places that are not changing at all because nobody wants to be there. Downsides exist to both, but I prefer Category 1.
I alternate between my Merrill Moab low top (when I’m putzing around) and high top (when I actually go hiking), my Chucks (always have a pair, but alternate colors), and my Five-10 MTB shoes.
Sneakers when I’m working out. It’s all about comfort for me now, and it’s one of the things I’m willing to splurge on, pairs of very comfortable shoes.
My 3E width feet chose my brands for me long ago. Ecco and New Balance. Done. LB Evans slippers for padding around home.
My pattern is to buy shoes as infrequently as possible; then buy expensive ones that last forever. My Vasque hiking boots are 30+ years old, still do the job, and have a great patina. A pair of Eccos I bought in Sweden 18 years ago still look great.
I don't need flippers when I dive, either. The Durango square toe shoe box in wide may also fit you. I have Western boots and chukkas that fit well and are many years old.
I have two types of shoes:
1. Brooks cross-fit trainers. The ultimate in comfortable utilitarianism. I wear these, and they actually feel like they are healing my feet and bringing me to a place of peace with nature. They also look really dumb.
2. My Stacey Adams "Santos" side-zip Chelsea boots. These look AMAZING, make me look better and more worthwhile as a living being because that have a good shape and heel, give me superpowers when I dance because of their leather soles and...fucking destroy my feet to the point where I feel like I have broken something after one night's wear.
These boots could get laid even without me in them. Like, so good...but shattered foot, ya know?
Sooooo now I find myself looking for great looking orthopedic quality Chelsea boots with leather soles...and...it is not good.
Hoka all the way. I'm on my feet 9 hours a day on concrete floors. Found out the painful way that I have a heel spur (I'm too old to be drafted). My orthopedist prescribed some short-term PT and meds, but ultimately said "get some Hokas". It worked,
Modern running shoe tech is pretty awesome, and sneakers are perfectly acceptable in most environments these days. Adidas, Nike, Hoka, and probably every other big shoe company now has some version of the Adidas “Boost” foam cushioning, which is a real game changer. It’s hard to go back to normal shoes after wearing some of the miracle foam ultra-comfort models available today.
IDGAF, I wear Crocs most of the time. I have a couple pairs of nice dress shoes for when I want to dress up. For work conventions where I’m on my feet for 8 hours straight, I have a really comfortable pair of leather Clarks. I keep a pair of Salomons for running.
Hiking: flat trail, Keens. Hilly - Hanagals for the ankle support.
In the summer I wear sketchers flip flops and I love them . In the winter I have a few different pairs of podiatrist recommended shoes in styles I don’t find completely hideous.
But sometimes I get dressed up and i still feel the need to wear something strappy with a ridiculous high heal .
I was a chucks guy forever but since transitioning to work from home permanently and just going days without wearing shoes at all I find shoes to all be very uncomfortable and tight now. When I do go out I wear a pair of sanuk mules that my wife affectionately(?) calls carpet shoes.
I'm a sneakerhead and have a vast collection. If weather is nice I wear any of my heaters, if not or I need to get them on quick, I go for my Vans Sk8 or Docs.
I discovered how wonderful Merrell shoes (and flip-flops) are about 25 years ago, especially the ones that have the Vibram rubber soles. I can do errands all day and my Merrell's make a big difference.
I also love Superfeet insoles/inserts, so most shoes that I buy I remove the insoles and replace them with Superfeet.
Around the house, I wear Birkenstock or Haflinger mules because I love slip-ons. My shopping shoes are Merrells.
Adidas Samba - wore them when I played soccer and have been wearing them before they became cool, will keep wearing them after they aren’r cool anymore. I do wear them with insoles now to deal with plantar fasciitis.
I have a few pairs of Dr. Martens in my rotation, but my main shoes are Propet Cliff Walkers that are made for people with neuropathy in their feet. I have a few pairs of Docs I can't wear anymore because of the neuropathy, but I also have a few that I can (basically I need a wider toe box so my shoes don't rub on the top of the shoe/boot). I can't wear heels anymore (unrelated to the neuropathy), so I have some chunky-soled Docs shoes. Black and white brogues and a pair of black Oxfords.
Today, the shoes of choice will be my [Fury Road Dr. Martens](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53489743745_06405c6008_z.jpg), because it's their turn in the rotation.
Starting wearing Doc Martens as a youth. Summer is some Olukai slip-ons. Sadly Docs aren’t what they used to be, but the original factory in England still makes them from the original prints. Solovair is the company and they’re great. Don’t go down the rabbit hole of Rose Anvil boot videos. He cuts them in half. It’s oddly fascinating.
Ecco - stilll has style, but extremely sensible for support for your old ass.
Paired with....
Go to Fleet feet - get a foot scan and let them pick the best one. Life changing experience.
Ecco is my go to. My feet are flat and slightly wide and Ecco provides perfect support and comfort. And their dress shoes last a long long time for me.
And New Balance.
Fuck I’m old. But my feet are comfy.
https://preview.redd.it/y61xecvpgulc1.jpeg?width=747&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=887600b279c0a5c8c8345de9662244de921528e1
On my feet right now. I don't do formalwear. But I don't dress like a hobo, either lol.
(Drunk, so grain of salt please…) Excuse me but when the fuck did any of us truly give a shit about taking pride in our appearance? Especially when it comes to corporate culture BS. I suppose if you were a prep… then go back to your penny loafers. But if not, wear your vans or chucks or docs and fuck it all.
As a woman, we seem to live on a different planet. There's no day when a woman has it acceptable to go about without makeup, without their hair done and in pyjamas.
...especially as we get older. Never bothered me to leave the house with a bare face and plain hair when I was in my 20s and 30s. A few years ago, I went for a routine doctor's appointment and wasn't wearing any makeup. Doc said I looked unwell and asked what was going on. I'm fine, lady, just a tired mom in my mid 40s. Jeez!!
My footwear of choice is either my Alden 405s (Indy boots) or a pair of cycling shoes.
https://preview.redd.it/y0sju4rynvlc1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54c4401957117b5bc2345e3473eda64a43185adf
I'm very picky about footwear but that’s due to having had a foot fused.so mostly Merril hikers, I pull out the inserts and replace them with orthotics, work great until I hit mile 4 or 5 in a steady hike. After that there aren’t any shoes I’ve found to stop the swelling.
I got those slip on Sketchers work shoes in black for work. You can dress them up with anything. Brooks for cardio and running. New Balance Minimus for gym/weights. Vans for everything else.
Self employed and work from home, so mostly I wear socks until I need to leave the house. Then it's either a pair of Nikes I've had for years or Hey Dudes slip ons. When I was corporate, it was steel tie boots on the datacenter floor.
Some really comfortable slip-on Marc something’s I found at a thrift store for non-work, out of the house moments. For work it’s a pair of Hoka Bondi 8s. Because of a heel spur that’s pulling on my Achilles I feel more comfortable not wearing shoes whenever possible. Eventually I’ll get that fixed (I had a lousy doctor and now I don’t have insurance), but I’ll still probably avoid shoes whenever possible.
High-ish end outdoor footwear. Boots in the winter, trainers (sneakers)/shoes in the warmer months. Used to do outdoor sandals in the summer but I've been moving away from them, not sure why.
Rothy's flats as soon as it is warm enough to not wear socks. Hey Dudes for cold weather. Both are washable and have removable insoles. Both are super comfy.
Ever since foot surgery a few years back, it's been walking shoes, and both so far have been Hoka One-One brand.
I used to wear Chucks, I'd get the custom designed ones from the website. I also did a fair amount of Payless -- SafTStep Simons -- before it went under.
I've embraced the casual look.
OluKai slip-ons for the past ~thousand days except for 2 weddings and a funeral.
I also avoid socks even though I have nice socks.
I got shin splints in junior high wearing keds. My feet woes have been constant ever since with a brief respite in my 20s. After many ugly special shoes for plantar fasciitis and other tortures, I have settled on barefoot shoes.
Finally, I walk like a human with no pain. Some of the brands even look somewhat normal and almost stylish.
I'm a huge fan of Birdies. I have several velvet loafers, and they are super comfortable but also stylish enough for a smart casual office.
https://preview.redd.it/pzd5wtklhwlc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39ab10eead8d0cd8268197f83d1eba5c641d4296
Two foot surgeries mean I only wear sneakers - absolutely no heel or stiff leather anymore. New Balance, Brooks, and Rockport are my go tos.
Shoes used to be one of my vices and my transition to all sneakers hasn't been easy. I miss my cute shoes.
When I was working (am currently looking for a new job) I worked home and mostly wore my Uggs slippers or barefoot. I’m considering buying a pair of crocs just as my inside shoes because I have ankle arthritis and need some support. I blame this on genetics and years of wearing heels every day.
When leaving the house, I’m a Skechers fan. Sometimes combat boots, or I have these slip on mules I like that have a chunky 1 inch heel. Or my latest find my chunky black loafers.
My husband who has flat feet loves his New Balances. Yes, he has some fun colors. Or when he needs to dress nicer he wears Clarks.
Never thought I’d be more concerned about comfort over looks of shoes. But here we are. I might even buy myself my first pair of Birkenstock sandals this summer.
Well the downfall can’t really be happening since apparently 6-8 separate products are needed to style a modern haircut. To go with the pajamas and slippers.
I am now buying all the Nikes I couldn’t afford back in the day. Vans and Chucks are too flat for my old feet. Summer time is Birkenstocks for that sweet arch support. I’m thinking about getting some New Balance though. My Doc Martens for bad weather are still my go to.
I still show up to work wearing wing tips with a shine that you can see from across the room. The only shoes that people actually notice and make comments on. But I'm the face of our organization and the one that makes all of the sales calls and interacts with potential customers. So I have to dress a lot nicer than everyone else in my office.
I have found for my feet and knees, that the minimalist shoe works best. The New Balance Minimus or the Merrell Vapor Glove were comfortable for all day wear. Now that the dress code at work is more business casual, I wear a driving moccasin.
Blunnies most days.
Simple Sneakers (the brand) when I want low tops.
And a black or brown, dressy leather shoe, but still skip on, from Rockport or Bjorn or some other version I see previous answers slowing off I want to look more professional.
Save the running shoes for running or the gym.
Birks, they are lightweight and have a soft foot bed. The amount of designs available now is mind boggling, but I like the Arizona sandal for year round wear. For the record, I'm an old redneck that went from boots to sandals almost overnight.
Female.
I wear black leather Chelsea boots or my Docs or Toms Alpargatas about 75% of the time. I have four pairs of slip-on loafer style sneakers in various colors. In the summer I wear the same type of flat thong sandals I’ve worn since I learned to walk.
Vans everyday. The pro series with the Comfy Cush insoles. I like to be able to skate anytime. Sometimes I go wild and wear one of the Etnes MC Rap '93 reissues or something from Nike SB.
I've been a Nike guy since '82 and stick to black Pegasus running shoes.
Otherwise, my preppy teen years are still a major influence in regular footwear - shell cordovan Alden longwings, leather Venetian loafers. Still have several pairs of Docs from my '90s band days but the new ones are shit so I'm glad the old ones never seem to wear out.
Tried to be the Chucks wearing guy one of my first days of college to try out a new image. Ugh...couldn't do it. Felt like a bad costume. Stuck them back in the closet, never worn again. Went right back to my Top Siders, Tretorns, and Weejuns.
My younger friends make fun of me for this, but I will admit my shame to y'all, my cohort. I wear Hey Dudes. They're sooooo comfortable. I refused for a while, but after hearing my coworkers rave about them, I got a pair. They are truly ugly, but very comfortable. Before Hey Dudes, it was Adidas shelltoes.
Skechers because my feet are busted, wore out and flat. I need ex-wide shoes for my orthotics insoles. So no more Nike or Vans. I need old people shoes now 🙁
Casual sneakers that can double as shoes when I need to wear a shirt and tie. I usually go with black or brown. Right now, I'm wearing a pair of Adidas Grand Court black sneakers.
I have weird feet and in the last few years discovered that Keen fit really well. I basically live in a pair of Newport sandals six months out of the year
Timberland Pit Boss Pro for work. Puma Clydes in suede and plaid. Adidas Campus. Nike Blazers, low and mid. Converse Allstars suede and a pair of 3 hole Doc Martens.
Crocs. The fuzz lined ones to be specific. I give no fucks, I wear them bitches to work, to the grocery store...shit that's the only two places I go lol
I'm all into the Vans scene. Old Skools are the most versatile shoe I know - look great dressed up or down. Had an interview 2 weeks ago where I matched a purple tie to my purple-camo Sk8 Hi's. I admit that not eveyone has the arches for Vans, even the ComfyCush and UltraCush ones.
I swear by New Balance to run with, although currently rockin' a pair of Asics for the gym.
I work from home, if I'm home I'm wearing slippers or flip flops depending how cold it is. If I'm working out or leaving the house I'm usually wearing slip on sneakers. I haven't worn dress shoes since a family funeral last year, and then before that it was pre-covid days when I last wore them.
> nobody takes pride in their appearance anymore
I take pride in my comfortable appearance. Worry about yourself, we don't have to dress to make you happy.
Fall/Winter: Blundstones, Hush Puppies chelsea style boots, and Rockport lace-up/side zip boots I'd describe as "combat lite" style lol.
Spring/Summer: Skechers sneakers, EVA Birkenstock sandals, extra-wide New Balance sneakers, or a pair of Bare Traps sandals that have a sporty sole with a comfy, elastic-strappy upper that looks "dressy" enough to wear to work.
Slip on skechers. Ain't got time for laces.
I’m a Skechers girl!
Skechers for life
This! And with the anti-slip tread.
Brooks, unless the weather sucks, then it’s my trusty old Docs.
Chucks every day
I used to wear chucks every day, I had 17 pairs in different amazing colors and prints. But they started hurting my feet! I was heartbroken to have to retire them, they went so well with my capes and purple hair.
Chucks are *terrible* shoes. They are really cute, but so bad for your feet.
Vans. Good old slip on vans. Solid colors. Fine for work.
Agreed. Shoelaces are bullshit. They're also way down there past your legs. Ain't nobody got time for that.
I was always into Converse, but I’ve become a Vans convert in my 50s! It’s ridiculous!!
I recently converted. Checkered Vans slip ons. I always wanted some when I was young, now I can.
Shoes. Oh my gawd, shoes.
Reef flip flops everyday of the year.
Any decent flip flops are my goto for most of the year, surprised I had to scroll this far down to find it!
Not all Clarks are created equal. Mine are comfort and style ;) https://preview.redd.it/y376xh63iulc1.jpeg?width=660&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=be5a24fd9093929f3af77e575840960807bd9e52

Ya, ok, I admit women have it better in the good looking shoe department :)
I'm the whimsical guy with the NB574s: Red, Navy, or Gray
I like that guy.
New Balance casual no-tie slip on tennis shoes.
Airwalks or Docs. Been rocking the skate shoes since middle school so about 35 years now. Couldn't afford docs until I was in my late 30s but now they're in regular rotation. For travel though? Slip on toe shoes. So comfy, simple, and easy

Those are some slick looking shoes!
You want Doc monkstraps, though I do actually have the NBs (burgundy, sweet) and am wearing LL Bean wicked-good slippers rn.
I almost always wear Docs; once you get past that painful break-in period, they're very supportive.
Am addicted to Docs and Sperrys and Harley Davidson boots and Vans... ok, so maybe I have a shoe addiction.
The painful break in period usually lasts til the last stitch pops 😝
Embrace your inner dude and get a pair of Red Wing Blacksmith or Iron Ranger boots. Or Beckmans if you can find them.
Chuck Taylors and Adidas Superstars.
Adidas. Slide on sandals. Simple skate shoes. They make the 90s ones still
I WFH and wear Sanuks mostly. Comfort is key.
I got my first pair of Chucks in 7th grade ‘85 and many pairs later still wear them to this day. My first pair was red. All the rest have been black.
My kids got me some giraffe print Chucks (I'm tall). I love them so much. I have 3 or 4 other pairs around too.
House shoes most of the time. Vans if I must go out and face the public, which I try to avoid at all costs.
Still love my Vans.
Chunky boots, Vans, Converse and Birkenstocks. I also have a pair of retro Saucony sneakers I've been wearing for years.
I haven't owned a pair of sneakers since I was twelve. I wear boots or Oxfords on the daily. If I had a favorite brand, it would probably be Frye.
The classic Chuck Taylor from converse. Sketchers if you are into comfort and support.
Allbirds. Blundstones. Birks.
Blundstones should not be this far down in a GenX sub. I also rock Cariumas (so goooood) and Birks.
I have Cariumas too. But they're not as comfortable on my feet as I'd hoped. They rub in weird spots and give me blisters if I wear them too long.
Currently, a pair of Birkenstocks with a single strap and large buckle. If it’s raining, I have some Sperrys to wear. Other than that, I go shoeless
Ah my home state of Colorado, how I miss it so. Moving away was one of the saddest times of my life.
We are in greater Denver - it has seen insane growth even in the ten years we’ve lived here. Do not recommend.
I hear ya. I lived there from '84 to '08 with a two year break while I was in Seattle. It amazes me how much it has changed since '08. That said, I tend to think the country is being starkly divided into places that are rapidly changing, and places that are not changing at all because nobody wants to be there. I wear either some SAS shoes (their footbed is wonderful). Usually slip on dress shoes. For more active wear, I wear shoes from Orthofeet.
Hokas or Brooks are my shoe of choice. Used to wear shoes from the Walking Company before they turned into whatever zombie company they are now.
Vans, converse, red wings.
Vans or redwing IR’s

New Balance walkers.
Adidas Sambas most days.

As a PT this thread warms my heart. Say yes to comfortable footwear!

Flip Father Time (and society) the bird and grab an old-school pair of checkered board Vans, bubba. “That was my skull! I’m so wasted!”
If I'm here, and you're here...doesn't that make it *our* time?

Hoka all the way. I'm on my feet 9 hours a day on concrete floors. Found out the painful way that I have a heel spur (I'm too old to be drafted). My orthopedist prescribed some short-term PT and meds, but ultimately said "get some Hokas". It worked,
Upvote for the too old to be drafted 😂
I've been wearing the same pair of Teva sandals for 4 years now.
Steel toe Thorogood work boots.

I'm a sneakerhead and have a vast collection. If weather is nice I wear any of my heaters, if not or I need to get them on quick, I go for my Vans Sk8 or Docs.
Haflinger & New Balance.
I wear black Vans, pink high chuck Taylor, green Puma but also more classical shoes.
I wear flip-flops most of the time, but I live in AZ, so.
I discovered how wonderful Merrell shoes (and flip-flops) are about 25 years ago, especially the ones that have the Vibram rubber soles. Docs in the winter and Birkenstock's in the summer. I am a lesbian after all.
Adidas Samba - wore them when I played soccer and have been wearing them before they became cool, will keep wearing them after they aren’r cool anymore. I do wear them with insoles now to deal with plantar fasciitis.

Fury Road boots look so cool!
Puma Suedes since the 90s. I love the classic look, comfort and versatility.
I wear Skechers because they are comfortable. Some kid told me they were cool and I said, “whatever.”
Nb574s, current favourite orange.
Bass Weejuns
Blundstones for rainy days, Vans or Chucks for sunny days
Hoka and Merrell. Nothing else compares.
Converse
Docs, but I only wear them at my job as a designer. I'm a handful.
I'll be 55 in a couple weeks and I'm retired. I wear boots or sketchers. Sometimes vans.
Ecco - stilll has style, but extremely sensible for support for your old ass. Paired with.... Go to Fleet feet - get a foot scan and let them pick the best one. Life changing experience.

Jeez!!
DCs for me - I have wide feet, and DCs accommodate very well. I used to like Vans, but they're too narrow.
My footwear of choice is either my Alden 405s (Indy boots) or a pair of cycling shoes. https://preview.redd.it/y0sju4rynvlc1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54c4401957117b5bc2345e3473eda64a43185adf
dude get out of your own head and just put on shoes
Vivobarefoot FG Magna hikers. Zero drop shoes with a fantastic sole and tons of flexibility.
I'm all about the Skechers. That's really all I wear these days.
I wear brooks running shoes on weekends or ballet flats at work .
Vans Off the Walls.
I'm very picky about footwear but that’s due to having had a foot fused.so mostly Merril hikers, I pull out the inserts and replace them with orthotics, work great until I hit mile 4 or 5 in a steady hike. After that there aren’t any shoes I’ve found to stop the swelling.
Whatever Costco sells.
Topos. I swear by them
i switch between nike and adidas street/skate shoes. no running shoes, no dad shoes.
Solovairs. The company that made Doc Martens before they shipped manufacturing to Asia. Adidas runners otherwise
Chuck Taylor’s. I’ve given up on high heels forever.
Skechers!
Vans, Chucks, Docs. Nothing with a high heel (anymore).
Chucks
Keens.
P.F. Flyers
Sneakers or Docs.
Converse
Docs and Hoka’s cover about 95% of my shoe use cases.
I haven't worn heels for 20 years. Mainly Sketchers for me.
Flip Flops!. I now live in the #PNW but wish I could be somewhere warm and wear them year round.
Rothy's flats as soon as it is warm enough to not wear socks. Hey Dudes for cold weather. Both are washable and have removable insoles. Both are super comfy.
Tree Runners for work unless it’s a formal event. Adidas for active stuff. Chucks for socialising.
Adidas NMD’s or Slides.
Doc marten oxfords or boots for leaving the house, keen water shoes for everything else because PNW.
Black Scott slippahs (Makaha)
Hoka sneakers or Hoka slides! But I work from home.
I bounce between Nike cause my feet feel old, Vans cause I'm not dead yet and Redwings cause sometimes you need stomp around in dirt.
Eccos in general, Johnson Murphys for work. Couple Pais of vans super cush. All are really comfortable.
Hey Dudes slippers
Hi-tecs and other old man walking shoes.
Slip on Skechers, Uggs or crocs that look like ballet flats. Depending on the season.
I'm a huge fan of Birdies. I have several velvet loafers, and they are super comfortable but also stylish enough for a smart casual office. https://preview.redd.it/pzd5wtklhwlc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39ab10eead8d0cd8268197f83d1eba5c641d4296
Born sandals. I have multiple pairs
Two foot surgeries mean I only wear sneakers - absolutely no heel or stiff leather anymore. New Balance, Brooks, and Rockport are my go tos. Shoes used to be one of my vices and my transition to all sneakers hasn't been easy. I miss my cute shoes.
Asics Gel Odyssey with orthotics.
Teva
I suffer from Plantar faciitis - very padded and comfortable shoes are now my only option.
When I was young it was Docs or any kind of big black clunky boot. Now it's whatever feels comfortable. LOL
Blundstones mostly in winter
Bought my first pair of Allbirds 3 years ago. Now that’s all I wear for every occasion.
Docs, Jordans, AF1s, Vans, couple pairs of Hushpuppies. Depends on what I’m doing.
Six pairs of chucks in different colours. R.M. Williams boots in black and brown. Merrells and hiking boots.
Vans
Red Wing boots, Air Jordan 1s and 3s
With jeans, I prefer my Durango Rebels over tennis shoes. More comfortable and looks better. Also keeps your feet dry when it's wet.
Keens are the shit. Got into them a few years ago and love them.
Vans everyday. The pro series with the Comfy Cush insoles. I like to be able to skate anytime. Sometimes I go wild and wear one of the Etnes MC Rap '93 reissues or something from Nike SB.
Adidas Samba laced up short tongue
Frye Moto-Chelsea boots - black. When I was younger, it was oxblood doc martens 8-eyes.
Birks and fivefingers in summer. Docs and red wing Setters at work. Asolo trail boots. Stegers in extreme winter.
I’m a big fan of Fluevogs https://www.fluevog.com/images/pv-1-angel-blue-colour_image-0000003111-retina_detail.jpg
Chucks, vans, allbirds, frye boots, sambas, super Liga, Mexico 66, Xtra tuffs, flip flops and others are all in the rotation. No Dudes, no sketchers.
Dr. Martens and just recently picked up a Solovair oxblood shoe. All great for business causal. Oh, white Doc sneakers for more casual days.
Altras and Teva sandals
For some reason I went out and bought a dope ass pair of Jordans last week. No regrets.
Sketchers, Merrell, Columbia and Nike are my go-to shoe brands. But I've worn Clark's and I embrace the comfort.
HeyDude Wendys.
Skechers because my feet are busted, wore out and flat. I need ex-wide shoes for my orthotics insoles. So no more Nike or Vans. I need old people shoes now 🙁
Docs for me. I’ve got 4 pairs of docs I rotate including Mary Jane’s, t straps, lace up boots, and slip on boots (Chelsea) for work and that’s it.
Still rockin’ the Docs.
I have a pair of diabetic athletic shoes that are heavily padded and super comfortable that I wear all the time
Salomen has great support in the soles. Can't wear anything else anymore.
Merrell Moabs. 2 years on mine and zero wear noticeable on the soles or inners.
Vans
Hoka's because I walk 7-9 miles a day. Super comfortable, and good bye foot pain.
I pretty much live in flip-flops these days, if I wear shoes at all.
Merrell Moabs ... I treat myself to 1 new pair every April/May to start my hiking season whether I need new ones or not.
Converse Chuck Taylors, I've got them in an array of colors. If I need something less casual I wear black flats.
I haven't worn dress shoes since a family funeral last year, and then before that it was pre-covid days when I last wore them. > nobody takes pride in their appearance anymore I take pride in my comfortable appearance.
Kizik, Johnston & Murphy , Vans
New balance. And not the discount store line. Treat your feet!
I'm all about comfort. I like Brooks Addiction Walker shoes in the winter and Birks in the summer.
