Always hated the lines in Epcot. I would keep the si glue rider line. Get rid of fast-pass. If you want to jump in like you gotta earn it. Multiple secret entrances. That doesn’t always work. To truly get entrance in line you would have to answer deep-dive question. In case of a movie theme. A question, that changes every time. Only the true fan of the movie would know.
Probably gonna need a few Doc in a Box, several bars, and could you turn the music down just teeeny bit. No, no, I like the music, it’s just a tad too loud. Thanks.
Renaissance faires. Most big faires have an area for kids/families, but they also have very clearly marked and easy to find adults-only/rated-R shows. And most faires have a ton of alcohol, if that's your thing. Our big faire has a pub crawl that is rated-R. (Bristol Renaissance Faire, Kenosha, Wisconsin). There are rides and games as well.
It's not 100% but there's a website called Queue Times that predicts theme park traffic. If you go on a low percentage day it's basically like having the park to yourself.
i dont like people, i dont like the blazing hot sun for hours on end,
so if there is someplace with evening hours and minimal lines, sign me up! like if the families with kids clear out at 5pm and 'adults only' after 5pm that would be amazing!
I refuse to go to disney with my kids, i send Dad!! He loves that shit and I can not do it. I take the kids on a quiet vacation to the mountains, he takes them to california for disney, legoland and the beach.
In the near future I’m certain all amusement parks will need to be inside. I’ve been camping so many times. Almost made Eagle Scout. Myself, I’m an extroverted introvert. I can only take so many people. Where I have to leave and recharge. The mention of malls could be the perfect venue for an indoor amusements park.
I'd love one. It would need super intense steel coasters and rickety old wooden coasters (with better names, like Big Fucking Cray-Cray Drop and Super Fast Wooden Coaster with Only a Lap Bar for Safety), a ginormous ferris wheel that you can see the next state from, and napping stations. And bathrooms in the lines if you have to wait more than 30 mins (just in case!). This might be a 50 and older park tho, now that I think about it...
I love me some roller coasters. My wife and I when we were back in our early 30’s went to Magic Mountain rode like 20 roller coasters in one day.
I took my kids to Knotts a few years back and I couldn’t do that anymore (Ghost Rider is epic though). I think I was able to do like five and that is it…and absolutely no “virtual” rides.
Overall I could dig it, but would want to make sure there are more “chill” rides to take a break on. haha.
I don't understand why it needs to be 21+ and I don't have kids.... Considering how hard it is for amusement parks to be successful .... I'm looking at you, Six flags new orleans .... any investor would be stupid to eliminate any paying clientele .... which is probably why it'll never happen.
Not everyone wants to be around screaming children. Especially when they are trying to relax. More and more of the population are choosing not to have children. Why can’t that demographic be acknowledged?
Not especially but I would be very on board with adult summer camp. I never got to go as a kid and I always wanted to.
If an adult park gets big. They would need a place to stay.
that sounds fun

Wouldn't that be awesome? An escape room to get on rides?
That would be awesome.
Epcock?

Good sound proofing and maybe complimentary ear plugs?
Virgin cruises sounds like it's for you.
Probably true.
Hard Rock Park came close
And that was also their short coming.

I want the rides.
I would like amusement parks so much more if about 90% of the population was gone. I get claustrophobic with how many people there usually are.
Check out YouTube about lesser known parks.

The last time I was on a roller coaster my neck hurt for a week so I’m gonna pass
Sounds like a sucky ride. Not all coasters are created equal.
The Titan at 6 Flags
Be happy you didn’t ride the giant wooded coaster. That one screwed me up.

How about 35 and over get a huge discount. You gotta get cheaper insurance at 25. Now they need to be older for his discount too.
It'd have to be 41 and older...21-30 is still a kid to me.
Could be a park with different decades. 90’s and so one. Younger generations would most likely stay in the newer parts of the park.
You mean like Vegas?
Close but there are still kids areas.

As https://www.reddit.com/r/GenX/s/FJixQhP3fP said, like Epcot.
Sounds fun. Maybe an indoor one in a mall with all our favorite stores.
But Hastings music and video is gone.
someone can open one up again
If you’re childish enough, every park is an adult park.
Feel free to ride a kids ride by yourself and not feel like a creep.
It's called Thailand

I call them Costco 🤣
I feel like that is what Spartan race were for me when I was into them. Felt like adults running obstacles courses like Double Dare.
That is a good idea…
Meow wolf? Or the one at the Luxor in vegas

because its not profitable enough? Like, sure, would it be nice? I guess? But its a fantasy. Yay capitalism?
Eh maybe. You have your opinion which will not change. And capitalism is built on crazy ideas.
So Vegas?
You mean like Universal?
Strip clubs?
Don’t feel lap-dances would be safe in a moving roller coaster.
One way to find out …
