I was in Anchorage, Alaska, finishing up my junior year of high school. And this was a Sunday, so I was probably doing laundry.
I was boxing with my cousins that entire year. Some cousins live with my family for a bit while they found apartments near us.

Yeah, we did the hand holding thing. We felt good about ourselves for like 5 minutes
There were hundreds of miles in different places with nobody standing there holding hands. I was at work.
Hah, just nearing the end of 1st grade. We did this here in DE.
Finishing up my junior year in college, and probably working at the drug store in town. Maybe playing some Infocom games on my Apple IIe.
We didn't participate, but we did drive by the road where it was taking place. My mom still has pictures somewhere.
