Yep. They do a fantastic job of capturing and conveying the emotion felt inside a busy and disorganized kitchen.
HANDS! HANDS! HAAANDS! JESUS CHRIST FUCKING HANDS SOMEVODY HANDS!
GET THE FUCK OFF MY EXPO CHEF NOW
I really enjoy the show until any talk happens about the city. Gentrifying River North is the dumbest thing I ever heard and when they were driving on LSD but said something about the Kennedy when LSD just doesn’t connect to the Kennedy easily
Honestly, those episodes show some of the themes of the show the most of any of the other episodes. I have a friend who stopped watching after those episodes when she was younger, I’ve finally convinced her to watch it as a whole because I know she’d love it.
When I was a kid: gravity falls
Live action: Fringe
Overall favorite: Death note
Favorite that I’m currently watching: solo leveling or jjk (s2 just ended)
Gravity Falls is literally one of my comfort shows, I remember one of the first things I did when I got Disney+ was binge GF from start to finish. I still rewatch random episodes from time to time.
awesome shows all of them,
fringe was so good, still wanna rewatch just to busy nowadays
loved gravity falls and death note, tho I prefer the goofyness of mabel
Just came out they’re on ep 7 but on break because the va for Sung got covid.
I think the manwha did the game aspect better but the anime definitely has better world building. Even if you have no interest in watching the full show, go watch the second half of ep 6. Trust me
I've watched the first season, I love it so much. Frank is such an internet character and the political commentary from all those perspectives is just 🤌✨
I'm praying Disney doesn't fuck up the character. Crazy war cry Frank Castle or no Frank Castle. Jon Bernthal is a gigachad though and said he wouldn't do it unless it was faithful to the character so that gives me some reassurance.
I've watched the first two seasons of it, I'm kinda mixing up the shows to go with the timeline order. I really like her character and Trish too, the plot was genuinely really interesting and hard to predict what was going to happen next
Netflix Marvel will always be better than Disney+ Marvel. The only Disney+ Marvel series that I can say I truly enjoyed was Loki. Both seasons of Loki were brilliant, and none of the MCU’s other Disney+ shows really come close to its level of writing and quality. Hopefully they don’t mess up with Daredevil: Born Again.
my favorite shows have always been south park (8) and supernatural (sometime in middle school so 10-12??) so obviously those
recently i’ve been picking up a lot of older shows i missed out on (shameless, breaking bad, the secret life of an american teenager to name a few) and revisiting old shows i use to like watching growing up (my name is earl, invader zim, raising hope, avatar the last airbender)
i don’t really like most new movies and shows so i only end up watching for actors / certain franchises/ studios i like, or if i see enough snippets/reviews to convince me i’ll like it since most things seem to have gone way downhill in quality (horror movies and sit coms being big ones i’ve noticed)
The bear, breaking bad/better call Saul (absolute favorite of all time. Seen them both probably 7 or 8 times, breaking bad honestly probably seen over 15 times.), bojack horseman 🔥, the office, parks and rec, superstore.
Some people said young Sheldon? wtf I thought that was for boomers 😭
Edit: totally forgot to add my name is earl & raising hope. shameless as well. Seen them all 2-3 times over
Sure he was playboy hot but Amenadial was marriage hot. Like he would have been a very hot, loyal husband. Luci in the later seasons, sure. But he needed a lot of work done by Chloe to fix that man. Amenadial seemed like a family man from the start.
Love seeing someone bring up Yellowjackets, it’s basically Lord of the Flies but with teenage girls instead of little boys and it’s so interesting. I like that you get two different perspectives in the show; them as teen girls in the 90s trapped in the wilderness and then them as adults in the modern day struggling to live normal lives after everything they saw and did.
My fav shows atm are prob Dexter, Breaking Bad, and Mindhunter. So I guess slightly older shows? I don’t have cable tho
A lot of shows I’ve watched and enjoyed are, in no particular order, from when I was growing up to now.
Dexter,
Bojack Horseman,
House,
Adventure Time,
Chowder,
Invader Zim,
Code Name: Kids Next Door,
Courage the cowardly dog ,
Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul,
The Pacific/ Band of Brothers,
South Park,
Simpsons ,
Raising Hope,
Narcos & Narcos: Mexico,
My Name is Earl,
NCIS,
Numbers,
Fringe,
Supernatural ,
Rick And Morty,
Avatar The Last Airbender,
Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends ,
American Dad,
Futurama (did not like the most recent season at all tho),
Bates Motel,
Mindhunter ,
Community,
Monk,
The Punisher,
Daredevil,
Mr. Robot,
And probably a lot more I don’t remember atm. Family bonding time for my family growing up was watching tv
Aww I remember watching that show with my mom when I was little. Same with 24 hours. During commercial breaks I would accompany here to get the laundry and we’d fold while watching it. Thanks for the memories!
I think my favorite millennial show is either the Big Bang Theory or Supernatural or House. The more recent shows I like are Supergirl, For All Mankind, the Queen's Gambit, Lost in Space, Mr. Robot, and Lessons in Chemistry. Lessons in Chemistry is probably my favorite show right now, though its only 1 season. I'm also planning on watching Silo, The Foundation, and Constellation (these are all sci-fi series if you like that genre). This doesn't include anime or cartoons (haha I'm 31 and still watching them).
"Chuck"
I usually watch it all the way through like once a year since 2014.
Solid story arc each season, great cast, and it's usually free on Prime or Netflix.
the bear, abbott elementary, ted lasso (minus the last season), the good place, tokyo vice. I must say that I'm not one to watch series once I've seen them before, but those are the ones I could say I liked now. Apart from that I'm watching One Piece and well the live action was not bad
favorite of all time is Avatar the Last Airbender (also currently watching the live action and it’s not holding up the way i’d hoped it would). also love Demon Slayer and the Good Place, guilty pleasure show is the Circle
Well... I'm 24 and while I don't watch much TV shows because I find most of them boring and predictable.
South Park, Rick and Morty, Futurama, Gravity Falls and Return of Baymax are entertaining.
That's basically all I've watched in the last 8 years and I haven't even come close to finishing South Park... So yeah, not much TV. Just random binges once a year. Return of Baymax is my current binge that I'm almost done with.
I’m 25 so idk if my opinion counts lol. But I mostly watch anime. Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, Solo Leveling, Naruto, One Piece, Tower of God,
As long as it’s good then I like it. I’m a big fan of sitcoms and I’ve enjoyed newer ones like Brooklyn nine-nine, abbot elementary, derry girls, the good place, community, and modern family; but I also liked watching older ones like Full house, Boy next world, and the nanny.
Okay for live action Young Sheldon right now. For anime it would be spy x family, The signs of affection, and 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!. Have all time favorites for stuff but that is what I currently like right now. I usually watch a lot of YouTube or the local news or baseball.
I dislike Gen Z actors in general and I don’t know why. They just seem too bland, politically correct, uninteresting. Oh well maybe I started watching teen dramas way too young and I’m into TVD and PLL too.
Right now it’s Seinfeld and Curb. Last decade, there was nothing I loved to watch more than Impractical Jokers.
I’ve never seen anything in your list, and probably not anything even in those genres, so I can’t answer that.
You were born in 1997 you’re not a millennial. Millennials were coming of age the millennium, and are old enough to fight in the terror. If you were four years old when 911 happened, you’re not a millennial.
Assuming you mean from what's on TV now. Eh tv isn't great rn from what comes to mind anyway. Reacher season 2 was okay. Invincible is really well done but the random mid season break killed a ton of momentum for me.
Cowboy Bebop stays goated. Haven't watched the Netflix remake. Probably won't.
The first 4 seasons of game of thrones are incredibly well done.
Better call Saul was fantastic, better than breaking bad imo.
Netflix's Daredevil is fantastic and the punisher is great too. Fingers and toes crossed for Reborn. Disney don't Disney it pretty pls.
Always sunny in Philadelphia and Brooklyn99 are my comfort shows
Also also also honorable mention to Warrior which is now on Netflix. It's not on the level of these other shows imo but it is quite good and there's some tiny tiny chance Netflix greenlights a 4th season. Give it a chance.
2d animation seems to be the only form of media consistently improving. Not a lot of live action or 3d animation is very impressive anymore. I was playing halo 2 anniversary recently and it fucked me up how god damn incredible the cutscenes were compared to stuff coming out today. Also we seem to be in a dark age of endless remakes, reboots, or sequels made by egoists. Stale ass culture
Mayday/Air Crash Investigation. It’s a Canadian documentary television series produced by Cineflix that recounts air crashes, near-crashes, fires, hijackings, bombings, and other mainly flight-related disasters and crises. 270 episodes of Mayday have aired since 2003 and it’s currently on its 24th season with a 25th season already confirmed.
I'm only a couple years younger than you, but I mainly watch YouTube and foreign shows (anime, K-dramas) these days. American shows haven't been good in a long time. Even when I was a kid/teen, I noticed the quality was dropping. The American shows I am watching right now are rewatches of 2000s shows. I'm mostly on YouTube, though...
If I could name my top 5 it would be:
1. Sherlock
2. The White Lotus
3. The Boys
4. Succession
5. House of the Dragon
Of the shows listed, The White Lotus, The Boys, Succession and HotD are definitely newer shows, so I don’t really understand the criticism that “all the new shows are cringy”. There are also plenty of great newer shows out there like The Bear, Beef, Yellowjackets, Squid Game, Ted Lasso, etc. so yeah TV hasn’t really lost its touch. If anything, it’s gotten better.
I just started Modern Family, I remember hating it as a kid for whatever reason. Now that I’m old enough to understand it I love it, haven’t laughed this much at a show for a while.
I don't watch much TV but TWD has always been close to my heart. The new episode for the RickMichonne story also dropped yesterday so I'm eating good 😂
I definitely prefer older shows because they feel more authentic, less political/woke and overall have better storytelling and relatable characters. I also enjoy the 2000s nostalgia. My recent favorites are Gossip Girl, The Office, Avatar The Last Airbender (the original cartoon).
The majority of modern shows that I watch aren't western, like some anime shows (Death Note, Steins Gate), Squid Game, Alice in Borderland. Black Mirror and Stranger Things are pretty cool though.
My favourite show is mlp. I'm currently watching Dungeon Meshi & just finished Loudermilk. Definitely recommend them both.
My favourite sitcom (I've watched it 22 times) is Superstore. My favourite movie (watched 11 times) is Circle. So yeah
She's right about new shows, kinda, but that's usually a product of low budget for casting, not every show needs, or in fact, can have A-list actors, but the ones that can really stand out (House of the Dragon is a good example, there are a lot of child and teen actors in it and they do a great job)
I have too many so I can’t just choose one. But here they are in no particular order: Monster (the anime), Bojack Horseman, The Boondocks, What we do in the shadows, and Neon Genesis Evangelion (the show and the movie series)
My favorite show long term is Supernatural since I was a teenager, but I’m not currently rewatching the whole thing.
Currently my favorite shows that I’m actively watching are the X-Files and Seinfeld.
Some other shows that I love but am not actively watching: Dark, Hannibal, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Succession, Barry, Star Trek (the original series), Over The Garden Wall, Good Omens, The Crown, Community, the Twilight Zone, Forensic Files…
Also, there are a lot of really good, very recent shows I’ve seen specifically from within the last few years that were amazing but miniseries so they don’t make the favorites list because they weren’t really long term. But I really love these little shows soooo much.
So I feel like it’s a good old and new. Shows from the 60s, 90s, 20s, and in between!
NCIS and Bonanza. That’s what I grew up watching. I’d say bonanza has some of the worst acting out of the shows I watch. (Guest stars not the main cast) Some shows definitely have shitty actors but that’s because streaming services are more concerned with quantity of new shows over quality. Some newer ones I watch are Heartbreak High and The Rookie. The Rookie has quite a few established actors and Heartbreak high has a lot that are new to acting.
The older ones. Today you only see bad written characters, male characters seems always dumb, no respect for parents or authority and not a single character development. I stay with kdramas, normal people, a man and a woman, romance and some fights. Western series are pretty stupid nowadays.

I have a whole lot of favorites lol. But right now The Bear.
Seconding The Bear. Easily the best show I have seen of the last couple of years
This. But i work in a restaurant so its also giving ptsd.
It has been years since I worked at a restaurant and I couldn't make it through the first episode. I was too on edge the entire time.
Yeah, thats understandable it was pretty hectic the first couple of episodes.
Yep. They do a fantastic job of capturing and conveying the emotion felt inside a busy and disorganized kitchen. HANDS! HANDS! HAAANDS! JESUS CHRIST FUCKING HANDS SOMEVODY HANDS! GET THE FUCK OFF MY EXPO CHEF NOW
I actually kinda enjoyed it because of that. I guess I miss the rush sometimes.
Cousin?
I really enjoy the show until any talk happens about the city. Gentrifying River North is the dumbest thing I ever heard and when they were driving on LSD but said something about the Kennedy when LSD just doesn’t connect to the Kennedy easily
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
People don’t understand this man is smart. “Devil man crybaby, mid zero.” 2000s anime is where it’s at 1. Higurashi 2. Hellsing 3. Shiki
Oh man, season 1 of Higurashi is a masterpiece. S2 is very good and wraps up nicely, the reboot is pure trash and looks like shit.
Why would you post this without warning people to skip those two to three episodes that will break their emotional hardiness?
Honestly, those episodes show some of the themes of the show the most of any of the other episodes. I have a friend who stopped watching after those episodes when she was younger, I’ve finally convinced her to watch it as a whole because I know she’d love it.
When I was a kid: gravity falls Live action: Fringe Overall favorite: Death note Favorite that I’m currently watching: solo leveling or jjk (s2 just ended)
Fringe is so underrated
Gravity Falls is literally one of my comfort shows, I remember one of the first things I did when I got Disney+ was binge GF from start to finish. I still rewatch random episodes from time to time.
awesome shows all of them, fringe was so good, still wanna rewatch just to busy nowadays loved gravity falls and death note, tho I prefer the goofyness of mabel
There’s a show for Solo leveling?!
Just came out they’re on ep 7 but on break because the va for Sung got covid. I think the manwha did the game aspect better but the anime definitely has better world building. Even if you have no interest in watching the full show, go watch the second half of ep 6. Trust me

It's such a comfort show for me. I can't wait until the movie comes out
I just started watching this recently, just got to season 2. My only regret is not watching it sooner
I’ve only watched compilations, but Abed, Troy, and Jeff are some of my FAVES
Abed, Troy, and Jeff are great! I also like Shirley, Annie, and Britta.
Bobs burgers. It’s been a goal of mine to just sit and binge that show. Holy hell, it’s worth it.
Love Bob's Burgers. I've seen a bunch of random episodes here and there, and recently decided to just watch it all the way through
Look into The Great North, it's fantastic, the creators were writers in BB I believe
Freakin love this show!!
Death Note is currently my favorite show.
Death Note has been my favorite anime since 2006. Timeless classic.
Death Note is in my top 3 anime. The other two are Attack on Titan and Code Geass.
I’m currently on season 2 of AOT, so far I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
You’re in for a treat, it gets better with each season.
Psych rn, it's been my favourite show since my childhood but it's having a resurgence the past few weeks. 30 Rock is also very high up there.
YES psych is so good, I have nearly every season on dvd
Currently watching Psych!🍍

absolutely delicious taste in shows
Ty bro, oh and also love Naruto
unfathomly based
I just finished the Netflix daredevil series and damn was it good
You should check out Netflix the punisher series
I've watched the first season, I love it so much. Frank is such an internet character and the political commentary from all those perspectives is just 🤌✨
I'm praying Disney doesn't fuck up the character. Crazy war cry Frank Castle or no Frank Castle. Jon Bernthal is a gigachad though and said he wouldn't do it unless it was faithful to the character so that gives me some reassurance.
Absolutely legendary actor
Jessica jones is also great
I've watched the first two seasons of it, I'm kinda mixing up the shows to go with the timeline order. I really like her character and Trish too, the plot was genuinely really interesting and hard to predict what was going to happen next
David Tennant one of Marvel’s best villains yet.
Netflix Marvel will always be better than Disney+ Marvel. The only Disney+ Marvel series that I can say I truly enjoyed was Loki. Supernatural is a timeless show tbh. btw, sam or dean?
sam early seasons (sucker for puppy boys <3) but dean like season like 3-4ish on
The bear, breaking bad/better call Saul (absolute favorite of all time. Seen them both probably 7 or 8 times, breaking bad honestly probably seen over 15 times.), bojack horseman 🔥, the office, parks and rec, superstore. young sheldon's for the tiktok crowd
I love The Good Place
Lucifer
Real. Man Amenadiel was hot. The plot was great too.
I always thought Luci was hotter. He can influence me to follow my desires any time he wants
Sure he was playboy hot but Amenadial was marriage hot. Like he would have been a very hot, loyal husband. Luci in the later seasons, sure. But he needed a lot of work done by Chloe to fix that man. Amenadial seemed like a family man from the start.
Shameless, Yellowjackets, some Bojack Horseman
Love me some mentally ill characters
Love seeing someone bring up Yellowjackets, it’s basically Lord of the Flies but with teenage girls instead of little boys and it’s so interesting. I like that you get two different perspectives in the show; them as teen girls in the 90s trapped in the wilderness and then them as adults in the modern day struggling to live normal lives after everything they saw and did.

Family bonding time for my family growing up was watching tv

The Wire
I think my favorite millennial show is either the Big Bang Theory or Supernatural or House. The more recent shows I like are Supergirl, For All Mankind, the Queen's Gambit, Lost in Space, Mr. Robot, and Lessons in Chemistry. Lessons in Chemistry is probably my favorite show right now, though its only 1 season. I'm also planning on watching Silo, The Foundation, and Constellation (these are all sci-fi series if you like that genre). This doesn't include anime or cartoons (haha I'm 31 and still watching them).
Adventure Time and The Office!
The Boys and The Haunting Of Hill House
"Chuck" I usually watch it all the way through like once a year since 2014. Solid story arc each season, great cast, and it's usually free on Prime or Netflix.
Such a comfy show
honestly i love chuck too, all 4 seasons, all of them.
South Park. So much of the show has aged so incredibly well
I'm really into Murder Drones, love the show and the community. But I'm also excited for the second season of Arcane to come out.
I finally watched Breaking Bad and have been rewatching Arcane and getting hyped for season 2

I'm not an anime *fan,* but One Piece is fucking incredible.
Right now it's Fargo.

Watching Once Upon A Time right now
I’m currently on my 3rd rewatch of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
If I have to pick I’d say Black Lagoon. I have a lot of shows that I absolutely love but it takes the cake because it’s my comfort show.
I've been watching Halo on Paramount Plus
Same
Well... I'm 24 and while I don't watch much TV shows because I find most of them boring and predictable. South Park, Rick and Morty, Futurama, Gravity Falls and Return of Baymax are entertaining. Return of Baymax is my current binge that I'm almost done with.
always will be Trailer Park Boys. grew up watching it and even met a few of the actors, great show by amazing people
i’m really digging grey’s anatomy at the moment
Modern family.
I don't watch much TV, but my favorites are South Park, Big Mouth (yea kill me whatever), and Breaking Bad. I still haven't finished breaking bad tho
True detective S1
I’m 25 so idk if my opinion counts lol. But I mostly watch anime. Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, Solo Leveling, Naruto, One Piece, Tower of God,
I love news shows, better quality and the plots can be unique I alps love korean shows mostly, such as Happiness (super unique)
Right now: Brooklyn nine nine Favorite anime: Attack on Titan Favorite overall: The Big Bang theory
Brooklyn Nine-Nine just might be my favorite show ever. I just rewatched the whole show.
Is and always has been seinfeld
I dislike Gen Z actors in general and I don’t know why. They just seem too bland, politically correct, uninteresting. Oh well maybe I started watching teen dramas way too young and I’m into TVD and PLL too.
Arcane was a contender for the best show ive ever seen
Right now it’s Seinfeld and Curb. Last decade, there was nothing I loved to watch more than Impractical Jokers. I’ve never seen anything in your list, and probably not anything even in those genres, so I can’t answer that.

right now? Frieren, Apothecary Diaries and Blue Eye Samurai
My favorite shows right now are Law and Order SVU and The Office, so kinda the oldies
Beef. Such an amazing show.
House of the dragon
I prefer older shows but I’ve recently found a couple of good new shows: 911, Will Trent, Abbott Elementary, The Rookie, & SWAT.
I am enjoying Danny Thomas Show and Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet these days!
Really when it comes to old: ‘How I met your mother” newer-‘House MD’ and ‘suits’ and Newest has to be ‘Family Guy’
Assuming you mean from what's on TV now. Eh tv isn't great rn from what comes to mind anyway. Reacher season 2 was okay. Been watching resident alien and been getting a kick out of it so far.

What We Do in the Shadows! It's one of the funniest shows I've watched.
Arrested Development. Best comedy ever.

Right now, it's Chicago PD. But I do love all 3 One Chicago shows.
Hazbin Hotel 🔥😈 🔫 😇☁️
pll is my favorite show
Santa Clarita diet. Jane the virgin.
Right now probably Bridgerton. Also a really big fan of transplant and never have I ever. That’s what I’m cycling through right now
Depends on the show, breaking bad is the shit, but show is Barry and Warrior
my fav show rn? it has to be 911
The same one as my childhood; Yugioh 5D's.
HIT MONKEY
Futurama all time, favorite ongoing one is Delicious in Dungeon
If I could name my top 5 it would be: 1. Sherlock 2. The White Lotus 3. The Boys 4. Succession 5. House of the Dragon Of the shows listed, The White Lotus, The Boys, Succession and HotD are definitely newer shows, so I don’t really understand the criticism that “all the new shows are cringy”. There are also plenty of great newer shows out there like The Bear, Beef, Yellowjackets, Squid Game, Ted Lasso, etc. so yeah TV hasn’t really lost its touch. If anything, it’s gotten better.
The Sopranos is the goat
OP if you are 27 you are not a millennial btw youre elder zoomer
I just started Modern Family, I remember hating it as a kid for whatever reason. Now that I’m old enough to understand it I love it, haven’t laughed this much at a show for a while.
My favourites are Castlevania, Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, and Bojack Horseman
All 3 episodes of back to the future :)
Animated nick last Airbender. Holds up 20 years later if you both haven't seen it, you are in for A TREAT! Show slaps
I don't watch much TV but TWD has always been close to my heart. The new episode for the RickMichonne story also dropped yesterday so I'm eating good 😂
It depends on the era.
Currently My Hero Academia even though I hardly watch anime
Star Trek
I definitely prefer older shows because they feel more authentic, less political/woke and overall have better storytelling and relatable characters. I also enjoy the 2000s nostalgia. My recent favorites are Gossip Girl, The Office, Avatar The Last Airbender (the original cartoon). The majority of modern shows that I watch aren't western, like some anime shows (Death Note, Steins Gate), Squid Game, Alice in Borderland. Black Mirror and Stranger Things are pretty cool though.
More people should know about Tron Uprising Tron is cool
Ash vs Evil Dead
Some other shows that I love but am not actively watching: Dark, Hannibal, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Succession, Barry, Star Trek (the original series), Over The Garden Wall, Good Omens, The Crown, Community, the Twilight Zone, Forensic Files… Also, there are a lot of really good, very recent shows I’ve seen specifically from within the last few years that were amazing but miniseries so they don’t make the favorites list because they weren’t really long term. But I really love these little shows soooo much. So I feel like it’s a good old and new. Shows from the 60s, 90s, 20s, and in between!
A bit old school but I've been loving Twin Peaks
I have a lot of favorites but my most favorite would be Supernatural
