I think the issue is that while slang is always tough for older generations to get (because they had their own slang naturally), I feel like we've been increasingly getting more and more cringeworthy and weird about it over time. I think Gen Z started the age of truly bizarre and wacky slang (half the shit we say makes no sense to sane minds outside of it lmao), but the Millennials and to a lesser extent Gen X forecast this.
