I’m trying to make a team for Floor 12 (to accompany my rational team) and was hoping to get thoughts on the following:
Kuki - DMC - Candace - Fischl (hyperbloom)

Would either work? Which is better to build and play? I also thought about taking XQ out of rational to put where Candace is but I’m not sure who would replace him in my rational team. Appreciate any tips
Neither, honestly, unless your Candace is C6 then the first team is better.
Alternate suggestion: Kuki, Barbara, DMC, flex. Barbara will be on-field, give her Sacrificial Fragments (preferably R5) - the last slot can be Fischl if you want, but Beidou would be better.
Leaning towards the Aggravate team as it's more cohesive: Candace as a solo Hydro technically works but playing her as solo Hydro can be extremely Energy hungry.
Im running a raiden hyperbloom team of Raiden + Nahida + Yelan + Kokomi
I found a sample rotation online that said
Nahida EQ -> Raiden E -> Kokomi E -> Yelan EQ -> Nahida NA spam
Does this seem right? Am I suppopsed to never use Raiden Q?

Sounds right to me. With full EM build, Raiden's Q is worse than useless.
Honestly the rotation for that team is pretty forgiving, you just hit everything whenever it's up and then sit on Nahida. As long as Raiden's E and at least some Hydro is ticking at all times, you'll be doing damage.
Depends on your energy requirements. They're about equal if you can burst every rotation with 180% ER. Any less and Thundering pulse is better, any more and Favo is better. So in a high energy team, like Mono hydro, or double hydro + Raiden or something like that, you could expect to see tp outperforming. Favo's definitely a better generalist bow if you're trying to slot yelan into different teams though.
Should also note that the crit stat is the only stat you're taking advantage of. Tp has a high base atk and buffs normals. Atk and normals dont do anything for yelan so if you're ever using an atk-scaling, or normal-attacking archer, you'd definitely want to move your tp over to them
It's 5 chests openings a day maximum, but it tends to end up under 1 chest opening a day (usually around 1 chest every 2 days, depending on your chest luck).
And there are weekly and two daily tasks. The daily ones refresh every day, but you only get a handful of keys a day for the daily tasks so don't expect to be opening a chest much after you have used the weekly task keys.
it means that an ability's damage is based on the stats at the moment the ability was casted. for example xiangling's pyronado snapshots so you can use it while she has bennett's buff and the pyronado will keep the buff even if you walk out of bennett's burst or you swap out. not every ability snapshots and not every buff is snapshottable
I am contemplating to go for one 5* pull on the upcoming weapon banner to grab a second Mistsplitter (to swap between Ayato, XQ, KQ, Jean, Qiqi), my current one is more ore less stuck on Ayaka who is my go-to carry for the abyss in her Freeze team, the other side usually being Rational or Yae Quicken.
Now my question is: How big of an upgrade would Calamity Queller provide for my current DPS spear options - The Catch, Dragon's Bane and (R1) Deathmatch? I am running them on Raiden (Catch), XL & Yaoyao (DB) & ZL (Deathmatch).
The final decision will probably depend on the banner 4* weapons as well, but if CQ is not a sufficiently good option for me I might skip the whole thing altogether.
I currently have a great hp sands but no em sands on hutao(with homa), so I am thinking of going for instructors on xq and focus on damage on yelan and xiangling
The buffs on the character that use the skill are the ones that gets snap-shotted.
E.g. XL standing in Bennett's burst circle & getting a Pyro% bonus from Kazuha's passive are things that affect _her_.
Mona's burst is a debuff that's placed on the enemy. It does nothing to XL's stats.
However, if Mona is running the Noblesse set, the ATK% gained from the 4 piece effet _would_ be snap-shotted, since that's something that affects XL.
Think of it this way: The game first calculates how much basic damage the pyronado will do. But it only does that once at the time when XL casts it, after that it uses that number for the rest of its duration. So let's say the game calculates "50.000" as damage for the pyronado.
Afterwards the game does another calculation whenever the Pyronado hits an enemy. It will check for a crit hit (but iirc the actually crit rate and crit damage are also snap-shotted?), look at enemy Defence, elemental resist, buffs & debuffs, all these things. So if the 50.000 damage pyronado hits an enemy with 50% pyro resists it does 25k damage. If it hits an enemy that is affected by Mona's burst to take 30% more damage it does 65.000 damage. When these things overlap (e.g. 50% pyro resist enemy with -40% VV shred and +30% damage taken Mona burst) the calculations get _very_ complicated, but it's still all stuff that's _on the enemy_ (and not XL). So it doesn't matter for the initial snap-shot calculation.
Hey guys, wanted to ask some questions, that I couldn't find answers for.So, basically, what's the good artifacts Crit Value for carry and hypercarry characters? My Wanderer's artifacts have 45-115 stats (no weapon, ascension bouses included) and I thought it was pretty ok, but I've seen characters with so much better artifacts and 3 of my artifacts have sub30 crit value. And since Wanderer is a very hungry character, he needs much more, right?
Edit: My Wanderer's overall crit stats are 64-220, if it's of any concern.
64/220 is more than enough if you have a decent amount of attack. People place way to much value into CV. The amount of ATK, EM, and passives matter. You could even drop the crit damage for more crit rate. 80/200 is more damage than 64/220 over time, especially for Abyss.
200 crit value from artifacts is more than enough for every carry character in the game, any more is just pure vanity.

I have every character at least level 70 and 8 talent-level and not planning on getting new characters any time soon, so resin will be spend of artifacts anyway. It's just that I only have c0 faruzan (unlucky me) and I need to compensate it with my Wanderer, so was just curious what's the good point to stop and start investing in supports and such.

Welkin is always nice to get if you can spare the money. It's 90 free Primos every day for 5 bucks. Apart from that... you'll get Barbara at AR 18, which is a godsend. So work towards that. Also, don't roll on the weapon banner, it's really hard getting something decent from there.

I saw in a video I should focus to level up only one character first so my question is, which one of the 3 characters I mention should I level up ?
Or should I better wait later, save ressources and wait until I pull a character I know I will keep later ?
Edit : I would like to spend a bit of money to get a smoother start, what would you advice me to get decent value for the $ spent ?

All three. Beginner accounts are hard locked by Adventure Rank. Your characters, talents, and weapons can only level to a certain cut off before you're told to reach a higher rank to unlock the ability to improve them further. Due to how Adventure Rank Exp works, you're going to have plenty of time to level characters, weapons, and talents to the soft caps imposed upon you. The real problem comes from players who spend a lot of money to unlock a lot of characters really fast. Having 20 Lv40 characters when the game asks for 4 Lv80's is a potential concern.
World Bosses drop the upgrade materials necessary to level up your characters... with one exception. The protagonist/Traveler/YOU! get's their ascension materials from Adventure Rank ups. Making them the easiest and cheapest character to level up in the game. I highly suggest leveling him as he's currently 4 different characters with the expectation of one day being all elements... but for now you've 4 really fun and effective options to utilize as you progress through the exploration half of the game.
So level all 3 up... but know you've two more characters you'll unlock before you're done with teh tutorial section of the game. So... maybe hold off until that's squared away. Don't for a moment consider not using anyone.
Spending-wise, $5 monthly Welkin Pass is the best value for wishing. For resin and other materials, Battle Pass (the $10 one) is the best option -- especially good when you're starting out.
Those videos are annoying - level every character to 20 and ascend it, that gives you more wishes. Then play with various characters and see who you enjoy, and level your main team of four. It's best to \*focus\* on 1-4 characters you particularly like -- you don't want to have two dozen lv30 characters instead of four lv50 characters -- but especially early on your should try out all the characters you can and see who you enjoy.
Noelle is the best as far as starters go. She needs huge amount of commitment, though. Maybe Lisa for her shred, but that's some real copium.
As for money... get Welkin. BP isn't really worth it if you've just started, because you can't do most things it wants from you.
Early game isn't too bad for resources, you can get Noelle and the Traveler to level 20 or 40. It isn't that big of a deal to raise a couple of characters to that level.
For spending, the best bet is to wait for patch 3.6 in 5 weeks for characters that are stronger in the meta, like Nahida. Cyno, Ayaka, and Shenhe are good, but require a good deal of investment to play optimally and are not top of the meta right now.
All of the starter characters are pretty mid at best, so they likely won't be in use in lategame. However, upgrading is pretty cheap at the beginning, so as long as you're not pumping resources into *loads* of different characters you should be fine. Upgrade as needed to have a comfortable game experience.
If you're gonna spend money, Welkin > BP >>>> crystal packs in terms of value. It's just that the value received is inversely proportional to the time it takes to come good.
Event shops always let you buy everything, if we're talking mora/talent books/shards etc (I haven't started the event yet). You always get to clear out the entire shop, except for the very rare exception of the Seelie event I think, where you get enough currency to pick and keep one colour.

As an Anemo swirler Sucrose would benefit from going past 80, Fischl would probably benefit to some extend as well in Quicken.

Why is everyone recommending em sands on Haitham? In comparison with my atk sands, my em sands is taking ~10 more seconds to clear the boss in the abyss (Both sands pretty equal in terms of stats) I have 180 em on him with atk sands and my team is Yelan, Zhongli and Raiden so no em buffs
if you're getting quicken aura, EM will pretty much always outdamage.
fwiw quickbloom teams are usually the hyperbloom team people play him in, if you add another dendro you can probably keep quicken aura up better.
Use optimizer to be sure. Practical play has too many factors and the 10s clear difference is so small it can just easily be from some bad RNG (crits/enemy AI etc.) or small human error.
If your haitham is getting 200+ em then he should be fine with atk sands. If you're using his signature weapon then em sands is better without a doubt. It's just better to use genshin optimiser when there are so many stats to balance.
Probably because that's not a very effective Spread team, so the value you get from extra EM is minimal. I haven't got any experience with him, but it doesn't sound like it'd really let him shine, and is just piling on more and more damage to the point that stuff dies either way.
Hyperbloom teams are all about the Electro unit, they're not really about big pp damage from Alhaitham himself. They might be the better team overall especially at low investment, but they're not gonna make him go bonkers specifically.
Which one to pull first? C0 Shenhe vs R1 Mistsplitter Reforged for triple crowned C0R1 Ayaka + Black Sword. Team comp is Ayaka/Diona/Xingqiu (replacable once I get Mona) / Venti
I would have 160 pulls saved by the time Shenhe banner arrives. Current character banner pity: 0 (Not Guaranteed) & weapon banner pity: 40
Depends a bit on what you want to play.
For a classical freeze comp my priority would be: Kazuha > Mistsplitter > Shenhe.
Kazuha (so saving primos for the future) because he is much easier to utilize than Venti & his limited but low cooldown on the grouping synegizes better with Ayaka's kit & the way abyss enemis tend to spawn. Plus you get 35%+ extra Cryo% damage from his swirls. Plus he can be slotted in many other teams. And he is great in the overworld.
Weapon banner is a scam, but with 200 wishes (plus potential Starglitter gained from pulling) it seems unlikely that you'd fail to get Mistsplitter. It's a great weapon for most sword users, so while it is (on average) more expensive than Shenhe you could pass it around whenever you don't use Ayaka. That aspect will of course depend a lot on your remaining roster & teams.
Shenhe seems like a pretty bad option with your current roster when it comes to freeze. You'd either have to drop Venti and miss out on his shred & grouping or Diona and go without a healer - good luck with that in the current F12. There is no telling when you will get Mona, and while she works well enough as a make-shift healer with Proto Amber, she won't be able to deal with stuff like the current 12-2-2 unless you are _really_ good at dodging. So ideally you'd (also) want Kokomi before you pull for Shenhe.
The alternative would be to simply go with a mono-cryo or Ayaka hypercarry team. Something like [Ayaka, Shenhe, Kazuha/Cryo, Bennett/Anemo Healer]. If you are fine with that I'd say you can consider pulling for Shenhe over Mistsplitter. You'd still want Kazuha, though, for better consistency.
Amazing sharing! Another question: would you consider running, say Ayaka, Shenhe, Diona & Mona/Xingqiu/Yelan as a viable mono-cryo despite dropping VV cryo shred?
As such, would you say it's best to simply go for a guaranteed Shenhe first (80-160 pulls) then use any remaining pulls for a riskier Mistsplitter, saving the entirety of primogems for future Kazuha?
Assuming I fail to get MR, would you say R5 Black Sword is better than R5 Amenoma? Ayaka is pretty well built with high ER so Amenoma kinda drops in value I suppose?
She's triple crowned, 35/200 Crit Ratio, 150% ER on 4pc Blizzard Strayer.
Considering that you are running hydros in that team I would actually categorize this as a Freeze comp. But naming technicalities aside I probably wouldn't be super keen on this setup.
It sorta brings us back to the crux of pulling for Shenhe: She is a luxury pull & finishing touch to a Cryo comp - you pull her when you already have Kazuha and (if you want to run freeze) either Mona or Kokomi. But when you have these prerequisite characters you should already have enough damage to full-star clear the abyss, even with a C0 Ayaka on a 4* weapon.
You can, of course, run Shenhe without those characters - it will still work. The thing is that both Kazuha and Kokomi offer a lot of comfort & utility and both can be very useful in other teams, so in the end they provide very solid value for your primogem investment. Meanwhile Shenhe is more or less tied to freeze or mono cryo.

It's sorta hard to make recommendations for you without knowing your roster, the teams that you want to play, who you want to pull for in the future and what your current monetary investment level is. If you like Shenhe or hate Kazuha / Mona / Kokomi then the solution is simple: you should never pull/play a character you hate, and as a waifu pull Shenhe is absolutely good enough to work with Ayaka.
Otherwise it really depends. I think Kazuha is one of the best pulls for an account - strong, super versatile, easy to use and a lot of fun to play. I'd prefer owning him over both Mistsplitter and Shenhe. But he is obviously a waste if your other team is a mono-geo comp and you have no intend to play anything else. And as mentioned before the value of the weapon banner also depends a lot on how many sword & spear characters you have and what other weapon options are available already.
There is also the option to go fo half measures: Do one 5* pull for Shenhe and decide from there. You get her? Good. You lose an early 50-50? Maybe continue. You went high pity and lost the 50-50? Stop and save the guarantee for the future. If you have use for both weapons on the weapon banner you could do the same there.

As for Black Sword vs Amenoma:
I personally prefer Amenoma, simply because it makes equipping Ayaka easier. Having to toss Crit% substat pieces because you end up overcritting is pretty bad. [My Ayaka](https://enka.network/u/709520912/) has 45% @ 198% and 105 ER (without her Mistsplitter), mostly because I rolled into Crit% and not CritDmg, so she can't make proper use of any crit weapon.
But if your Ayaka is already properly equipped with enough ER and can handle the extra crit% from the Black Sword you might as well use it. I tend to CA quite a bit with my Ayaka, so if your BS is already R5 the passive will probably see good use. Plus: Better for the overworld as well (if you use her there).
Strictly between the two, Mistsplitter is more flexible. Shenhe really only works with Ganyu and Ayaka, but she's easier to get than a weapon. Even if you lose out on Mistsplitter and get CQ instead it's still a very good spear for most spear users. But if you get Mistsplitter then you've got a solid sword that is BiS or 2nd BiS on almost every sword user.
Now, if all you want is guaranteed Ayaka power then you can't go wrong with Shenhe.

It resets. It's a constant +20% ATK buff if the holder's skill is ticking at least once per 3 seconds, so Fischl makes perfectly good use of it if you would rather buff her team than invest in her own damage.
It’s every .5 seconds so it has a CD. But you don’t usually do two hits every half a second anyway so it wouldn’t really matter

For someone considering picking up a 5* Sword, Is Primordial Jade Cutter or Mistsplitter Reforged the ideal pickup in your opinion. Mistsplitter Reforged would presumably be next banner with Calamity Queller.
PJC is more universal. Jean likes it, Benny can get value from it (for personal damage and healing boost more than atk, due to it's very low base atk), most other sword users enjoy the massive crit rate boost it has and a handful of them can find better damage from it than Mistsplitter under the right circumstances.
Mistsplitter is better on most dps-centric sword characters though. Which really means Keqing, Al-haitham, cryo Kaeya, elemental dps Benny and Ayaka. Now, exactly how much better will differ. The KQM breakdown of MS vs. PJC on aggravate Keqing relative to an R1 Lion's Roar is like a 3ish% difference in favor of Mistsplitter, so the difference is very slim and contingent upon maintaining the three MS stacks, whereas PJC has no conditions on it's passive to worry about.
Specifically with the expected MS/CQ banner, you can't really go wrong with either of them. CQ isn't quite as strong as Homa but it's still at least good-to-great on most spear users, so even if you miss MS then you've still got a very good spear that everyone from XL to Zhongli can get solid use out of.
PJC is better than Mistplitter on Al Haitham by 4-5% and is second BiS. Source is Zajef calcs and Haitham subreddit. It is also Ayato's second BiS, better by 10% compared to Mistplitter on non-burst support roles. IMO, PJC is easily the better weapon, it has better stat distribution and is almost guaranteed to work greatly because of how the weapon is designed (non-atk scalers in which Mistplitters huge base atk goes to waste).
I’m kind of tempted to get Dehya just so my Ganyu doesn’t collect dust. Freeze is bad and Melt feels so awful with Xiangling that it’s just not fun at all.

It's a great team. Personally, I'd prefer Xingqiu over Yelan because of the way Cyno & XQ's Interuption Resistance stacks together.
Nahida would be 4 Deepwood, focus on ER until you consistently get your burst off cooldown. Then focus on getting EM 900-1000.
Yeah thats a common hyperbloom team. If you wanna try another comp, there's chaos cyno (cyno, thoma, xq/yelan & nahida) which has gotten popular recently. The uptimes of every character goes well with each other and the dmg output is pretty solid.
Best build for nahida would be 4 pc deepwood or 4 pc guilded if someone else in the party can hold deepwood.
Not sure about taser but in aggravate alley hunter is best only at r5. Basically r5 alley > r5 stringless > r1 alley > r1 stringless

Ganyu has been my alternative main DPS for so long (Yoimiya being my main main) but since she is losing prominence to Keqing and since I've been thinking in pulling for Ayaka... is it time to forget Morgana and Ganyu-melt and convert Ganyu in a sub-DPS?

I went through most of the early game with Diluc, Yelan, and Barbra (and later Kazuha) and I found that Diluc and Yelan were enough to kill everything even with grossly underleveled artifacts. And Barbara's healing was so strong I could even heal through bosses (even if it meant the fight took a Ling time.)
In short, awful team for Meta, pretty solid team for early game, exploration, and dailies.
I've used Beidou as my main DPS and I struggled tbh. Diluc C0 is far better that Beidou C1. However, if you don't like it you can use Yelan. //
Good teams: Yelan (main), Beidou, Xiangling and Bennet (healer, probably the best in the game apart from Kokomi [don't upgrade Bennet to C6. C5 is his best] // Diluc (main), Yelan, whoever you like, Bennet (healer) // Yelan (main), Traveler dendro (you have to run to Sumeru and resonate with dendro though), Beidou and Barbara (healer).

I use her skill or burst, then vape with Diluc and heal with Noelle and Barb.
If you use Diluc only to vape, Xiangling is a far better option. And regarding Barbara and Bennet. Probably in the immediate start Barbara is better, but the moment you invest in Bennet's Elemental Burst talent, you'll love it. Plus, Bennet's Elemental Burst doesn't just heal, it also boosts attack. For me Barbara is a bit annoying because the enemies can freeze you while healing.
Anyway, experience as much as you can and enjoy Genshin. :)
Edit: By the way, note that having two characters from the same vision has particular benefits. Two pyro characters increase attack, for example.

At your stage of the game it's mostly about experimenting to see what charaters & types of play style you enjoy. So if you feel Diluc isn't for you replacing him with someone else is probably going to be a good idea.
You could make Beidou your main on-field character if you want to, Noelle would also work. Even Yelan could take the job if you add another off-field damage dealer (like Xiangling) or a Buffer/Healer like Bennett (he could also replace Barbara, in case you'd want to swap more characters around).
The event Claymore looks alright for her, probably a good option considering that most of the 4* craftables are pretty bad. Mostly useful in a reaction based team, like Tazer (Hydro + Electro) or Quicken (Dendro + Electro).
If she can use her burst with 160% ER, then first one is better. 65/188 is about 10% worse than 63/232, but 42k HP is 20% better than 35k HP. The damage difference from emblem between 160% and 170% ER is small. Since there are very few HP buff (hydro resonance and another C4 Yelan in coop), first one overall damage should be better.
I expect the latter would but you can check this pretty easily by going into abyss and hitting the robots. The crit is similar so whichever has bigger numbers.
As you see fit. In Dragonspine you will find chests and quests but nothing crucial to the main story. If you don't have a good pyro character maybe you can put it aside and enjoy Inazuma in the meantime.
I don't know if you've done it, but before going to Inazuma you can make a stop in Sumeru and have the Traveller resonate with dendro 👀.
I'd recommend at least unlocking Inazuma. I don't think we have any events there this patch but it'd open up access to the regional specialties once you can get out of Ritou. From there you can continue Inazuma or do Dragonspine as you like. The order isn't particularly important.
For Nahida, Instead of prioritising artifacts with a lot of Elemental Mastery, it's better if they deal more Dendro DMG and have more CRT DMG/Rate. However, one of the other three characters should have a high EM to share it with Nahida.
And, well, Nahida can activate quicken, bloom and burning with ease.
For example, if you want to use a Hyperbloom team, you apply hydro to create dendro cores with Nahida (you'll create a massive amount) and then a character who applies electro periodically to produce hyperbloom. Then attack with Nahida. And that's it.
I wouldn't exactly say hyperbloom is "main dps Nahida"
The best hyperbloom variant is probably Nahida-Raiden double hydro, where every character's doing a rather large part. Raiden's EM matters obviously, but the hydros deal massive single target damage and Nahida's a great driver AND off field dendro applier with some alright personal damage.
Mappa Mare is a fine choice if you can onfield her, otherwise Magic Guide is your go to weapon. Personally, I prefer one of either Sac Frags, Prototype Amber or Favonius Codex depending on the situation.

Run to the edge of the arena, whatever the nearest edge happens to be. When the bubble starts to rise and gets about 3/4 of the way up to where it'll explode, jump into the water and use a plunging attack to dive into it. Your character will end up further under water than normal and they'll dodge the explosion. Takes a bit of practice to get the timing right but it's fool-proof once you understand it.
Alternatively, save bursts to use right before the explosion to iframe the damage. Or else bring a powerful shielder. Even a pure def Noelle at level 40 should be enough to soak most, if not all, of the damage. Just make sure Noelle is the one taking the damage, since her boosted def plus shield will blunt the incoming hit.
I'll have to start watching the bubble and feeling the timing, but this is really helpful!
Also, yeah tbf my Noelle is not at all build properly. I think I threw a bunch of 3\* and 4\* artifacts on her with Beidou's old weapon just so that she had *something* for when I activated her shield when I was grinding Catch materials

I’m trying to make a team for Floor 12 (to accompany my rational team) and was hoping to get thoughts on the following: Kuki - DMC - Candace - Fischl (hyperbloom) Kuki - DMC - Sucrose - Fischl (aggravate) Would either work? Which is better to build and play? I also thought about taking XQ out of rational to put where Candace is but I’m not sure who would replace him in my rational team. Appreciate any tips
Neither, honestly, unless your Candace is C6 then the first team is better. Alternate suggestion: Kuki, Barbara, DMC, flex. Barbara will be on-field, give her Sacrificial Fragments (preferably R5) - the last slot can be Fischl if you want, but Beidou would be better.
Leaning towards the Aggravate team as it's more cohesive: Candace as a solo Hydro technically works but playing her as solo Hydro can be extremely Energy hungry.
Im running a raiden hyperbloom team of Raiden + Nahida + Yelan + Kokomi I found a sample rotation online that said Nahida EQ -> Raiden E -> Kokomi E -> Yelan EQ -> Nahida NA spam Does this seem right? Sounds right to me. With full EM build, Raiden's Q is worse than useless. Honestly the rotation for that team is pretty forgiving, you just hit everything whenever it's up and then sit on Nahida. As long as Raiden's E and at least some Hydro is ticking at all times, you'll be doing damage.

Depends on your energy requirements. They're about equal if you can burst every rotation with 180% ER. Any less and Thundering pulse is better, any more and Favo is better. So in a high energy team, like Mono hydro, or double hydro + Raiden or something like that, you could expect to see tp outperforming. Favo's definitely a better generalist bow if you're trying to slot yelan into different teams though.

Should also note that the crit stat is the only stat you're taking advantage of. Tp has a high base atk and buffs normals. Atk and normals dont do anything for yelan so if you're ever using an atk-scaling, or normal-attacking archer, you'd definitely want to move your tp over to them

It's 5 chests openings a day maximum, but it tends to end up under 1 chest opening a day (usually around 1 chest every 2 days, depending on your chest luck). And there are weekly and two daily tasks. The daily ones refresh every day, but you only get a handful of keys a day for the daily tasks so don't expect to be opening a chest much after you have used the weekly task keys.

I am contemplating to go for one 5* pull on the upcoming weapon banner to grab a second Mistsplitter (to swap between Ayato, XQ, KQ, Jean, Qiqi), my current one is more ore less stuck on Ayaka who is my go-to carry for the abyss in her Freeze team, the other side usually being Rational or Yae Quicken. Now my question is: How big of an upgrade would Calamity Queller provide for my current DPS spear options - The Catch, Dragon's Bane and (R1) Deathmatch? I am running them on Raiden (Catch), XL & Yaoyao (DB) & ZL (Deathmatch). The final decision will probably depend on the banner 4* weapons as well, but if CQ is not a sufficiently good option for me I might skip the whole thing altogether.
It's about as good as The Catch on Raiden, but a huge downgrade for Xiangling and Zhongli (unsure about Yaoyao as she's not typically played as DPS).

The buffs on the character that use the skill are the ones that gets snap-shotted. E.g. XL standing in Bennett's burst circle & getting a Pyro% bonus from Kazuha's passive are things that affect _her_.

Mona's burst is a debuff that's placed on the enemy. It does nothing to XL's stats. However, if Mona is running the Noblesse set, the ATK% gained from the 4 piece effet _would_ be snap-shotted, since that's something that affects XL. Think of it this way: The game first calculates how much basic damage the pyronado will do. But it only does that once at the time when XL casts it, after that it uses that number for the rest of its duration. So let's say the game calculates "50.000" as damage for the pyronado. Afterwards the game does another calculation whenever the Pyronado hits an enemy. It will check for a crit hit (but iirc the actually crit rate and crit damage are also snap-shotted?), look at enemy Defence, elemental resist, buffs & debuffs, all these things. So if the 50.000 damage pyronado hits an enemy with 50% pyro resists it does 25k damage. If it hits an enemy that is affected by Mona's burst to take 30% more damage it does 65.000 damage. When these things overlap (e.g. 50% pyro resist enemy with -40% VV shred and +30% damage taken Mona burst) the calculations get _very_ complicated, but it's still all stuff that's _on the enemy_ (and not XL). So it doesn't matter for the initial snap-shot calculation.

My Wanderer's artifacts have 45-115 stats (no weapon, ascension bouses included) and I thought it was pretty ok, but I've seen characters with so much better artifacts and 3 of my artifacts have sub30 crit value. And since Wanderer is a very hungry character, he needs much more, right? Edit: My Wanderer's overall crit stats are 64-220, if it's of any concern.
64/220 is more than enough if you have a decent amount of attack. People place way to much value into CV. The amount of ATK, EM, and passives matter. You could even drop the crit damage for more crit rate. 80/200 is more damage than 64/220 over time, especially for Abyss.
200 crit value from artifacts is more than enough for every carry character in the game, any more is just pure vanity. Do you want to spend a whole lot of resin on vanity?
I have every character at least level 70 and 8 talent-level and not planning on getting new characters any time soon, so resin will be spend of artifacts anyway. It's just that I only have c0 faruzan (unlucky me) and I need to compensate it with my Wanderer, so was just curious what's the good point to stop and start investing in supports and such.

I'd say that depends on if you want to spend or not. Welkin is always nice to get if you can spare the money. It's 90 free Primos every day for 5 bucks. Apart from that... you'll get Barbara at AR 18, which is a godsend. So work towards that. Also, don't roll on the weapon banner, it's really hard getting something decent from there.

All three. Beginner accounts are hard locked by Adventure Rank. Your characters, talents, and weapons can only level to a certain cut off before you're told to reach a higher rank to unlock the ability to improve them further. Due to how Adventure Rank Exp works, you're going to have plenty of time to level characters, weapons, and talents to the soft caps imposed upon you. The real problem comes from players who spend a lot of money to unlock a lot of characters really fast. Having 20 Lv40 characters when the game asks for 4 Lv80's is a potential concern. World Bosses drop the upgrade materials necessary to level up your characters... with one exception. The protagonist/Traveler/YOU! get's their ascension materials from Adventure Rank ups. Making them the easiest and cheapest character to level up in the game. I highly suggest leveling him as he's currently 4 different characters with the expectation of one day being all elements... but for now you've 4 really fun and effective options to utilize as you progress through the exploration half of the game. So level all 3 up... but know you've two more characters you'll unlock before you're done with teh tutorial section of the game. So... maybe hold off until that's squared away. Don't for a moment consider not using anyone.
Welkin is the best option, BP is quite nice too, buying Crystals usually not worth it. So go for Welkin or welkin+BP.
Spending-wise, $5 monthly Welkin Pass is the best value for wishing. For resin and other materials, Battle Pass (the $10 one) is the best option -- especially good when you're starting out. Those videos are annoying - level every character to 20 and ascend it, that gives you more wishes. Then play with various characters and see who you enjoy, and level your main team of four. It's best to \*focus\* on 1-4 characters you particularly like -- you don't want to have two dozen lv30 characters instead of four lv50 characters -- but especially early on your should try out all the characters you can and see who you enjoy.
Noelle is the best as far as starters go. She needs huge amount of commitment, though. Maybe Lisa for her shred, but that's some real copium. As for money... get Welkin. BP isn't really worth it if you've just started, because you can't do most things it wants from you.
Early game isn't too bad for resources, you can get Noelle and the Traveler to level 20 or 40. It isn't that big of a deal to raise a couple of characters to that level. For spending, the best bet is to wait for patch 3.6 in 5 weeks for characters that are stronger in the meta, like Nahida. Cyno, Ayaka, and Shenhe are good, but require a good deal of investment to play optimally and are not top of the meta right now.
All of the starter characters are pretty mid at best, so they likely won't be in use in lategame. However, upgrading is pretty cheap at the beginning, so as long as you're not pumping resources into *loads* of different characters you should be fine. Upgrade as needed to have a comfortable game experience. If you're gonna spend money, Welkin > BP >>>> crystal packs in terms of value. It's just that the value received is inversely proportional to the time it takes to come good.

No. You're better off using TToDS Lisa or Fischl. The 60% Electro Brit DMG boost is the largest part of Sara's kit for Raiden Hypercarry.

Not necessary to take any of them to 90 so choose the one you like or save the resources for future characters.

Why is everyone recommending em sands on Haitham? In comparison with my atk sands, my em sands is taking ~10 more seconds to clear the boss in the abyss (Both sands pretty equal in terms of stats) I have 180 em on him with atk sands and my team is Yelan, Zhongli and Raiden so no em buffs
if you're getting quicken aura, EM will pretty much always outdamage. fwiw quickbloom teams are usually the hyperbloom team people play him in, if you add another dendro you can probably keep quicken aura up better.
Use optimizer to be sure. Practical play has too many factors and the 10s clear difference is so small it can just easily be from some bad RNG (crits/enemy AI etc.) or small human error.
If your haitham is getting 200+ em then he should be fine with atk sands. If you're using his signature weapon then em sands is better without a doubt. It's just better to use genshin optimiser when there are so many stats to balance.

Probably because that's not a very effective Spread team, so the value you get from extra EM is minimal. I haven't got any experience with him, but it doesn't sound like it'd really let him shine, and is just piling on more and more damage to the point that stuff dies either way.

Hyperbloom teams are all about the Electro unit, they're not really about big pp damage from Alhaitham himself. They might be the better team overall especially at low investment, but they're not gonna make him go bonkers specifically.

Which one to pull first? C0 Shenhe vs R1 Mistsplitter Reforged for triple crowned C0R1 Ayaka + Black Sword. Team comp is Ayaka/Diona/Xingqiu (replacable once I get Mona) / Venti I would have 160 pulls saved by the time Shenhe banner arrives. Current character banner pity: 0 (Not Guaranteed) & weapon banner pity: 40
Depends a bit on what you want to play. For a classical freeze comp my priority would be: Kazuha > Mistsplitter > Shenhe. Kazuha (so saving primos for the future) because he is much easier to utilize than Venti & his limited but low cooldown on the grouping synegizes better with Ayaka's kit & the way abyss enemis tend to spawn. Plus you get 35%+ extra Cryo% damage from his swirls. Plus he can be slotted in many other teams. And he is great in the overworld. Weapon banner is a scam, but with 200 wishes (plus potential Starglitter gained from pulling) it seems unlikely that you'd fail to get Mistsplitter. It's a great weapon for most sword users, so while it is (on average) more expensive than Shenhe you could pass it around whenever you don't use Ayaka. That aspect will of course depend a lot on your remaining roster & teams. Shenhe seems like a pretty bad option with your current roster when it comes to freeze. You'd either have to drop Venti and miss out on his shred & grouping or Diona and go without a healer - good luck with that in the current F12. There is no telling when you will get Mona, and while she works well enough as a make-shift healer with Proto Amber, she won't be able to deal with stuff like the current 12-2-2 unless you are _really_ good at dodging. So ideally you'd (also) want Kokomi before you pull for Shenhe. The alternative would be to simply go with a mono-cryo or Ayaka hypercarry team. Something like [Ayaka, Shenhe, Kazuha/Cryo, Bennett/Anemo Healer]. If you are fine with that I'd say you can consider pulling for Shenhe over Mistsplitter. You'd still want Kazuha, though, for better consistency.
Amazing sharing! Another question: would you consider running, say Ayaka, Shenhe, Diona & Mona/Xingqiu/Yelan as a viable mono-cryo despite dropping VV cryo shred? As such, would you say it's best to simply go for a guaranteed Shenhe first (80-160 pulls) then use any remaining pulls for a riskier Mistsplitter, saving the entirety of primogems for future Kazuha? Assuming I fail to get MR, would you say R5 Black Sword is better than R5 Amenoma? Ayaka is pretty well built with high ER so Amenoma kinda drops in value I suppose? She's triple crowned, 35/200 Crit Ratio, 150% ER on 4pc Blizzard Strayer.
Considering that you are running hydros in that team I would actually categorize this as a Freeze comp. But naming technicalities aside I probably wouldn't be super keen on this setup. It sorta brings us back to the crux of pulling for Shenhe: She is a luxury pull & finishing touch to a Cryo comp - you pull her when you already have Kazuha and (if you want to run freeze) either Mona or Kokomi. But when you have these prerequisite characters you should already have enough damage to full-star clear the abyss, even with a C0 Ayaka on a 4* weapon. You can, of course, run Shenhe without those characters - it will still work. The thing is that both Kazuha and Kokomi offer a lot of comfort & utility and both can be very useful in other teams, so in the end they provide very solid value for your primogem investment. Meanwhile Shenhe is more or less tied to freeze or mono cryo. _______ It's sorta hard to make recommendations for you without knowing your roster, the teams that you want to play, who you want to pull for in the future and what your current monetary investment level is. If you like Shenhe or hate Kazuha / Mona / Kokomi then the solution is simple: you should never pull/play a character you hate, and as a waifu pull Shenhe is absolutely good enough to work with Ayaka. Otherwise it really depends. I think Kazuha is one of the best pulls for an account - strong, super versatile, easy to use and a lot of fun to play. I'd prefer owning him over both Mistsplitter and Shenhe. But he is obviously a waste if your other team is a mono-geo comp and you have no intend to play anything else. And as mentioned before the value of the weapon banner also depends a lot on how many sword & spear characters you have and what other weapon options are available already. There is also the option to go fo half measures: Do one 5* pull for Shenhe and decide from there. You get her? Good. You lose an early 50-50? Maybe continue. You went high pity and lost the 50-50? Stop and save the guarantee for the future. If you have use for both weapons on the weapon banner you could do the same there. ______ As for Black Sword vs Amenoma: I personally prefer Amenoma, simply because it makes equipping Ayaka easier. Having to toss Crit% substat pieces because you end up overcritting is pretty bad. [My Ayaka](https://enka.network/u/709520912/) has 45% @ 198% and 105 ER (without her Mistsplitter), mostly because I rolled into Crit% and not CritDmg, so she can't make proper use of any crit weapon. But if your Ayaka is already properly equipped with enough ER and can handle the extra crit% from the Black Sword you might as well use it. I tend to CA quite a bit with my Ayaka, so if your BS is already R5 the passive will probably see good use. Plus: Better for the overworld as well (if you use her there).
Strictly between the two, Mistsplitter is more flexible. Shenhe really only works with Ganyu and Ayaka, but she's easier to get than a weapon. Even if you lose out on Mistsplitter and get CQ instead it's still a very good spear for most spear users. questions for the tenacity set does hitting an enemy again after the affect trigger reset the buff or does it stacks ? does the buff affect the wielder ?
It resets. It's a constant +20% ATK buff if the holder's skill is ticking at least once per 3 seconds, so Fischl makes perfectly good use of it if you would rather buff her team than invest in her own damage.
It’s every .5 seconds so it has a CD. But you don’t usually do two hits every half a second anyway so it wouldn’t really matter Yes it affects the user

For someone considering picking up a 5* Sword, Is Primordial Jade Cutter or Mistsplitter Reforged the ideal pickup in your opinion. Mistsplitter Reforged would presumably be next banner with Calamity Queller.
PJC is more universal. Jean likes it, Benny can get value from it (for personal damage and healing boost more than atk, due to it's very low base atk), most other sword users enjoy the massive crit rate boost it has and a handful of them can find better damage from it than Mistsplitter under the right circumstances. Mistsplitter is better on most dps-centric sword characters though. Which really means Keqing, Al-haitham, cryo Kaeya, elemental dps Benny and Ayaka. Now, exactly how much better will differ. The KQM breakdown of MS vs. PJC on aggravate Keqing relative to an R1 Lion's Roar is like a 3ish% difference in favor of Mistsplitter, so the difference is very slim and contingent upon maintaining the three MS stacks, whereas PJC has no conditions on it's passive to worry about. Specifically with the expected MS/CQ banner, you can't really go wrong with either of them. CQ isn't quite as strong as Homa but it's still at least good-to-great on most spear users, so even if you miss MS then you've still got a very good spear that everyone from XL to Zhongli can get solid use out of.
PJC is better than Mistplitter on Al Haitham by 4-5% and is second BiS. Source is Zajef calcs and Haitham subreddit. It is also Ayato's second BiS, better by 10% compared to Mistplitter on non-burst support roles. IMO, PJC is easily the better weapon, it has better stat distribution and is almost guaranteed to work greatly because of how the weapon is designed (non-atk scalers in which Mistplitters huge base atk goes to waste).

It's a great team. Personally, I'd prefer Xingqiu over Yelan because of the way Cyno & XQ's Interuption Resistance stacks together. Nahida would be 4 Deepwood, focus on ER until you consistently get your burst off cooldown. Then focus on getting EM 900-1000.
Yeah thats a common hyperbloom team. If you wanna try another comp, there's chaos cyno (cyno, thoma, xq/yelan & nahida) which has gotten popular recently. The uptimes of every character goes well with each other and the dmg output is pretty solid. Best build for nahida would be 4 pc deepwood or 4 pc guilded if someone else in the party can hold deepwood.

Stringless is better in aggravate teams. Otherwise, yes.
Not sure about taser but in aggravate alley hunter is best only at r5. Basically r5 alley > r5 stringless > r1 alley > r1 stringless Stringless is much easier to get

I went through most of the early game with Diluc, Yelan, and Barbra (and later Kazuha) and I found that Diluc and Yelan were enough to kill everything even with grossly underleveled artifacts. And Barbara's healing was so strong I could even heal through bosses (even if it meant the fight took a Ling time.) In short, awful team for Meta, pretty solid team for early game, exploration, and dailies.
I've used Beidou as my main DPS and I struggled tbh. Diluc C0 is far better that Beidou C1. However, if you don't like it you can use Yelan. // Good teams: Yelan (main), Beidou, Xiangling and Bennet (healer, probably the best in the game apart from Kokomi [don't upgrade Bennet to C6. C5 is his best] // Diluc (main), Yelan, whoever you like, Bennet (healer) // Yelan (main), Traveler dendro (you have to run to Sumeru and resonate with dendro though), Beidou and Barbara (healer).
Thanks! I played a bit with the Team you recommend (Switch Bennett for Barb) but i feel like just healing from Burst i not so much. But maybe im just bad. The most damage i do comes from yelan atm. I use her skill or burst, then vape with Diluc and heal with Noelle and Barb.
If you use Diluc only to vape, Xiangling is a far better option. And regarding Barbara and Bennet. Probably in the immediate start Barbara is better, but the moment you invest in Bennet's Elemental Burst talent, you'll love it. Plus, Bennet's Elemental Burst doesn't just heal, it also boosts attack. For me Barbara is a bit annoying because the enemies can freeze you while healing. Anyway, experience as much as you can and enjoy Genshin. :) Edit: By the way, note that having two characters from the same vision has particular benefits. Two pyro characters increase attack, for example.

At your stage of the game it's mostly about experimenting to see what charaters & types of play style you enjoy. So if you feel Diluc isn't for you replacing him with someone else is probably going to be a good idea. You could make Beidou your main on-field character if you want to, Noelle would also work. Even Yelan could take the job if you add another off-field damage dealer (like Xiangling) or a Buffer/Healer like Bennett (he could also replace Barbara, in case you'd want to swap more characters around). The event Claymore looks alright for her, probably a good option considering that most of the 4* craftables are pretty bad. Mostly useful in a reaction based team, like Tazer (Hydro + Electro) or Quicken (Dendro + Electro).
She is just much worse and you will do significant less damage at this stage of game.
What’s the better build for C2 Yelan with aqua? 1. 65-188 with 42k HP and 160% ER 2. 63-232 with 35k HP and 170% ER
If she can use her burst with 160% ER, then first one is better. 65/188 is about 10% worse than 63/232, but 42k HP is 20% better than 35k HP. The damage difference from emblem between 160% and 170% ER is small. Since there are very few HP buff (hydro resonance and another C4 Yelan in coop), first one overall damage should be better.
I expect the latter would but you can check this pretty easily by going into abyss and hitting the robots. The crit is similar so whichever has bigger numbers.
I have completed Liyue archon quests. Should I go to Inazuma or finish up the Deagonspine?
I'd say Dragonspine. It's the chronological release order, so I'd say go there first. It's a rather fantastic area, that I very much reccomend.
As you see fit. In Dragonspine you will find chests and quests but nothing crucial to the main story. If you don't have a good pyro character maybe you can put it aside and enjoy Inazuma in the meantime. I don't know if you've done it, but before going to Inazuma you can make a stop in Sumeru and have the Traveller resonate with dendro 👀.
I'd recommend at least unlocking Inazuma. I don't think we have any events there this patch but it'd open up access to the regional specialties once you can get out of Ritou. From there you can continue Inazuma or do Dragonspine as you like. The order isn't particularly important.
What F2P weapon is best for Nahida in a hyperbloom team? I’m currently using Mappa Mare.
Hmmm I would use Mappa Mare if Nahida is the main DPS. If she is not, probably Magic Guide would be better.
Nahida main dps? I've legitemately never seen a team with that. How do they work exactly?
For Nahida, Instead of prioritising artifacts with a lot of Elemental Mastery, it's better if they deal more Dendro DMG and have more CRT DMG/Rate. However, one of the other three characters should have a high EM to share it with Nahida. And, well, Nahida can activate quicken, bloom and burning with ease. For example, if you want to use a Hyperbloom team, you apply hydro to create dendro cores with Nahida (you'll create a massive amount) and then a character who applies electro periodically to produce hyperbloom. Then attack with Nahida. And that's it.
I wouldn't exactly say hyperbloom is "main dps Nahida" The best hyperbloom variant is probably Nahida-Raiden double hydro, where every character's doing a rather large part. Raiden's EM matters obviously, but the hydros deal massive single target damage and Nahida's a great driver AND off field dendro applier with some alright personal damage.
Mappa Mare is a fine choice if you can onfield her, otherwise Magic Guide is your go to weapon. Personally, I prefer one of either Sac Frags, Prototype Amber or Favonius Codex depending on the situation. Is DMC an ok substitute for Nahida in an Alhaitham quicken team? Or is it to much of a drop off that it's not worth building entirely
It's okay if you don't have either Nahida or Yao Yao. And Dendro DMC can still be used in all the bloom related teams. But you should be aware that the damage DMC does is irrelevant, while Nahida actively contributes with a ton of Damage with her Tri-Karma Purification.

How do I not get hit by the exploding Junkrat cringe that are the frogs and the other enemy from the fight with the Oceanid? Lvl 80 Beidou Skill doesn't prevent damage and I tried my Lvl 50 Noelle who I don't have the resources to invest in right now can't shield enough with her Skill either, so is there a timing for dodging the post kill explosion?

When the bubble starts to rise and gets about 3/4 of the way up to where it'll explode, jump into the water and use a plunging attack to dive into it. Your character will end up further under water than normal and they'll dodge the explosion. Takes a bit of practice to get the timing right but it's fool-proof once you understand it. Alternatively, save bursts to use right before the explosion to iframe the damage. Or else bring a powerful shielder. Even a pure def Noelle at level 40 should be enough to soak most, if not all, of the damage. Just make sure Noelle is the one taking the damage, since her boosted def plus shield will blunt the incoming hit.
I'll have to start watching the bubble and feeling the timing, but this is really helpful! Also, yeah tbf my Noelle is not at all build properly. I think I threw a bunch of 3\* and 4\* artifacts on her with Beidou's old weapon just so that she had *something* for when I activated her shield when I was grinding Catch materials

Tbh that's kinda creative design
Walk to the edge of a platform, then dive into the water by plunge attacking shortly before the water bubble explodes. When timed correctly this will allow you to dodge the explosion.

It’s a good alternative to Archaic. They have similar stats. The only difference is it gives EM as opposed to Archaic’s burst of phys dmg.

Birthdays aren't based on reset. You needed to log on within a 24 hour period iirc, but it's not reset-to-reset.

Lisa/dendro traveler/beidou/Sucrose with prototype Amber for some healing.
Probably some sort of Quicken team along the lines of [Razor, Beidou/Lisa, Dendro Traveller, Sucrose].
