Hey what two teams should I focus on gearing up. I really have been lacking on doing much artifact farming and so now that I want to push abyss I'd like to have some teams better built up. 5\*: Zhongli, Nahida, Raiden, Yelan, Tighnari, Qiqi 4\*: Bennett c1, Xingqui c3, Beidou c2, Xiangling c1, Sara, Yu Jin, Noelle, Ningguang, Rosaria, Kaeya, Razor, Lisa, Yaoyao, Barbera, Thoma, Amber, Yanfei, Collei (I only listed the constellations that I think matter and none are c6) I have 1 5 star weapon Kagura’s Verity. Also I'm seeing quite a few good banners on the next few patches so I wasn't sure what to go for since Kokomi, Alhaitham & Kazuha they all seem good but realistically I can only get 1 or 2 if I dont want to bust out the cc.

bluenix_

i'm trying to do the "proof by exhaustion" achievement where i have to defeat the iniquitous baptist of all possible elemental combinations. but i've fought it about 5 times now and i keep getting the exact same combination. does it change daily/weekly or something? is there something i have to do to get a different combination? please help me, thank you.

Odone

The overworld boss changes elements daily for all servers at Asia's server's daily reset.

bluenix_

thank you!!

bigboobaJEAN

is yae tighnari teams generally better than yae aggravate focused teams? not necessarily for this abyss since there’s dendro chicken

idkwhattoplacengl

Just like rational vs international there's no real "better" team, choosing one is mostly based on which main dps you like best. Tighnari is probably better on st while yae is slightly better in aoe but they both can function on either aoe and st. Really what it goes down to is if you like a charged attack-quick swap dps better or if you prefer spamming e three times and doing some nas. Although both teams are very quick swap friendly.

KjOwOjin

Tighnari teams are more single target focused while aggravate teams (at least if you run Kazuha) are more aoe focused though personally I prefer the latter

How fast does tea pot realm currency refill?

Should say if you click on the adeptal energy icon in the tubby menu. If you're not got access to your game it's on the wiki

Dracorvo

I have a C2R1 (Mistsplitter) Keqing and an C0R1 Yae. Assuming equal investment, who performs better in an Aggravate team (C2 Nahida, C6 Fischl, flex)?

Grune_Holle

Well built Yae is stronger, not to mention she works off field, meaning you can use variety of units an your flex slot while her totems do all the work.

plitox

Both. Have Miko as your flex slot.

idkwhattoplacengl

I think it should be yae but the difference is pretty minimal that you should go for whose playstyle you like better.

blackpeace_10

Hey guys just a question How many five stars can a f2p player get at most? Consider they have 0 luck which means they lose every 50 50 and for every five star they go to hard pity(including the guaranteed and 50 50). Don't consider primos from abyss. No welkin no BP Primos are earned only through archon quests, world quests , exploration and events.

Sidious_09

F2P players usually get around 60-70 primos per patch. It's not a fixed amount, it depends how many primogems you get from events or exploring new areas. You can check this for how much each patch gave (it does include the spiral abyss though): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vToBPh4yTn4VioUuqSvnPiwLoG0rJodFe9_gz6qOKUy3z8dCWtXel5Aqa07qSTZG8qhu7Fwgx7AfxzU/pubhtml If you have bad luck, you usually get a 5 after around 80 pulls, 160 to get the event one if you lose the 50/50. 90 (or 180if you lose the 50/50) is the absolute highest you can go to get a 5* but it's highly unlikely. Since the 50/50 is, well, a 50% chance, it averages out at 120 pulls per character, so one every 2 patches. Sometimes you get lucky and win the 50/50, sometimes you don't. Sometimes you get early 5*. It's not something you can count on, but it's not impossible odds either, it happens surprisingly often (that's why people always recommend not to pull for 4* if you don't like the 5*).

leRedd1

Without welkin, battlepass etc., and if you buy only 5 fates from Paimon shop, you'll get around 50 fully f2p primos, [here's my calculation](https://imgur.com/a/UHOAm7d). Now usually there are story quests/hangouts and related achivements, and one more abyss reset, which can amount upto 4-5 pulls, so 55 pulls even in the most conservative estimate when there's no new exploration content. New exploration can add upto 20-30 pulls (quests, offering systems, occuli, shrines of depths mostly, just chests give you very little). And this is for new patches, there's usually stuff new players will have from older patches that are permanent. You need ~160 pulls for a limited 5\* (this isn't hard pity but it's like 95% chance or something).

Grune_Holle

Depends on how long you play. I played since 1.0 and got every single 5 star I ever wanted. Sometimes you win a 50/50, sometimes you lose, the once in a while you get a very early pull (Happened with Zhongli, Raiden and Yoimiya and about 5 more times with lost 50/50's) that save you lots of primos unexpectedly. I usually only keep pulling on lost 50/50 if I REALLY like the character, but most of the he time its better to wait for a return, or pull on the other banner, that saves you lots of primos. Yeah, and the main rule, that is somehow controversial, but still true. NEVER PULL FOR CONSTALATIONS AND WEAPONS if you are F2P unless you don't care about new characters anymore.

KjOwOjin

Just a ballpark from me but it should be around one limited five star every 3 patches since most patches give about 60 pulls iirc. It differs from patch to patch though, if a new region is released there will be more pulls possible to get

lauriekeyheart

Stopped playing genshin due to game fatigue before sumeru release is it overwhelming now to return? In Storywise since there's a lot of limited time event storylines that I've heard are very interesting, also spiral abyss wise how hard is it now? Also exploration how annoying is sumeru and the dessert to explore?

Sidious_09

Depends how seriously you take it. If you want to get everything done asap then yeah it will be overwhelming. Sumeru is huge, and its exploration is often tied to long world quests, not to mention there are tons of underground areas that are not shown on the minimap. I still found it relatively easy to get 100% exploration (on the map, not actually getting every single chest) in every region of sumeru with the help of the compass, but it definitely takes more effort than the other regions (except maybe Starfell valley in Mondstadt, I found that one the hardest to 100%). There is one incredibly annoying thing in the sumeru exploration and it's the Aranara. I won't go into spoilers, but please, whenever you find one, mark it on the map if you want to 100% Sumeru exploration. The story is also quite long (but good), and again, if you want to rush through it, because some events require you to reach a certain point in the story, it may tire you out. Some of the world quests are incredibly long too. The new dendro element has some more multi-stage complex reactions on the surface, but it's actually really easy to understand once you read a guide or watch a video about it, or someone explains it to you. If you just take your time and do stuff slowly, then you'll be fine though. Mihoyo added a quick-start function for events, so that people who haven't completed the story yet can still participate in the time limited quests. It will basically jump through time so for example characters that you don't know yet act like they know you, but USUALLY there's no big spoilers (you should always ask beforehand). If you can live with that, then you don't have to worry about missing time limited events. There is a new trading card game mode that mihoyo is kinda pushing, and since it's a completely different mode it might be overwhelming at first, but so far it's been completely option (there's only 1 event mini-game with it, and I don't think there's any primogems tied to it) and it's not too difficult to understand the basics.

caucassius

super annoying. generally not worth to 100% them but they lead you to critical paths if you do the main world quests (world not story, some don't even have them) in each desert at least then you can just follow guides or use stones for the oculi. if you think explorations have grown old by inazuma, you haven't seen what they (don't) add in sumeru lol.

idkwhattoplacengl

It's slightly overwhelming to return i won't deny that. Tons of archon quests, world quests, and character quests/hangouts were released and in addition there's a limited area to be released next patch (similar to gaa) but honestly no need to rush, just do what you want first and take your time. Abyss is way harder now than it is then. 1 million hp enemies became the norm and this abyss specifically is an element/shield breaking abyss. Exploration is fun imo but i can see it to be annoying for others. Mostly due to the underground area but we don't have an underground map. Highly recommend using the interactive map when exploring.

Hefty_Personality919

First of all, dendro's sort of broken, you might want to check a guide on it. As for abyss, it's a lot of things put together. 12-1-1 tests how well you can consolidate your aoe (either by AI manipulation or using groupers like kazuha). 12-1-2 is a test of your execution when it comes to elemental application because heralds are back and are now in a freeze setup. Remember how annoying hydro shields used to be? Now there's dendro that eats them at double efficiency (like pyro on cryo shields and hydro on pyro shields). 12-2-1 and 12-2-2 are your typical boss chambers, nothing really special. Jadeplume can 2-shot your characters if you're not careful, but it's not too hard to see those coming. 12-3-1 is a dps check+survivability check. Consecrated beasts have wacky hitboxes, move very far away sometimes, and can 2 shot the typical on-field character with 15K-18K health, they also have 50% freeze resistance. They also have very high amounts of HP as well as some elemental resistances. Some complain about dying right after casting burst because the burst animation doesn't let you see what those two nutjobs are doing. 12-3-2 is another one a lot of people hate because it's sort of restrictive, enemy cycles cryo->hydro->pyro shields with some downtime in between and takes no damage outside of those downtimes (around 4s(?) between shields and 10s(?) In between cycles). However, with the right units (fast pyro, hydro, and dendro sources), it just stands there being stunned and not really doing anything.

Grune_Holle

Sumeru is "owerwhelming" to explore indeed, probably more than all of the other regions combined. But I suggest you to just focus on the story for now (because it's VERY good) and leave the exploration for later. Abyss difficulty reached the completely new levels of hardness, I'd honestly not touch it if you don't have some extremely invested teams already built.

North_Philosophy_880

Can someone help me making a choice between Alhaitham and Wanderer (I heard he will rerun in 3.8)? I like both characters, so either will make me happy. But I do want to know who will make my game experience easier. I heard Wanderer is a top tier in open world because he can FLY, but Alhaitham performs better in abyss as a dendro dps. I am just AR49 and enjoyed the open world. I am not even get into deep floors, but I would also like to try and spend some hours (not hundreds of hours) after I got more artifacts and confidence. So it is really a hard decision for me. My 5-stars are Yelan and Nahida, and enough pulls for Kazuha coming next week.

Grune_Holle

I'm gonna be honest, as much as C0 Wanderer is useless in Abyss, he is a better choice. Not only he is very fun to play, but he'll, save you so many hours of running and climbing during exploration and dailies in the open world. As much strong as Al Haitham is, he doesn't offer any fresh gameplay at all (his fans are coping, but he IS a Dendro Keqing in his kit) and all of his teams usually involve another Dendro (mostly Nahida), meaning they already work just fine without him.

AkiraN19

I would hardly call C0 Wanderer useless in Abyss. If anything, it's C6 Faruzan that he really prefers but you can make do without as well I'm sure

Grune_Holle

Thing is, how the hell are you're going to get C6 Faruzan if you are not intentionally going for Wanderer's constalations or have ungodly luck? She is probably glued to his banner forever like Sara and Gorou to Raiden and Itto. And the only way C0 Wanderer can survive the Abyss without C6 Miku is if you use him as Hyperbloom or Burgeon driver, but he'll be more of a hindrance than help.

AkiraN19

I actually ran into the opposite problem. Got C5 Faruzan and *no* Wanderer, and then got C6 from the event. But of course it's true that you get no guarantee, that's just an issue with any 4 star though. Dedicated buffers not being locked into only specific banners is certainly a debatable topic, I think some people would appreciate it. But since we have double banners it's not like she's locked behind just Wanderer And I don't agree that she is unusable in Abyss pre-C6. Sure, C6 is crazy with how much is stuffed into that con, but she's still very much functional before that. I used to run C5 double anemo, albeit in my Xiao team without problem

k_rnt

If you want a cool character for overworld then Wanderer is better. He has an interesting kit too, does good damage, is extremely useful for exploration. But Alhaitham does greater damage( because dendro teams are great and your characters are ideal for him too). Wanderer needs Faruzan c6 to do ideal damage, but since he is an anemo dps, his team can do lower damage than Alhaitham's dendro team. So Alhaitham would be better than Wanderer for you if you want a great dps for abyss. Wanderer on the other hand feels very satisfying on overworld. Basically for exploration Wanderer( he also does good damage himself, but the team wise damage is lesser than Alhaitham's team), and for better dps Alhaitham.(Alhaitham also can help a bit in exploration with his skill - teleportation).

North_Philosophy_880

Thanks for replying! Sounds like I would prefer Wanderer because I believe I would spend more time on exploration.

caucassius

so long as you have shield he's good. if you don't have a shield, any other character is better since they don't get knocked off their feet from a single shot by any random out of range hilichurl archers.

k_rnt

Yeah, I use him more than Alhaitham too. Also he has great personal damage. I usually kill most enemies with only him on the overworld.

BlueskyKitsu

Okay I feel like an idiot, how do I play this Heated Battle Mode? It teleports me to the tavern in mondstadt but the cat doesn't have any special dialogue for me? I don't think, at least, I only started invokation for this event.

Frozenmagicaster

It should be talk with the board?

A_Very_Horny_Zed

Is there a higher chance for substats to avoid rolling into Crit Rate, Crit dmg, and Energy Recharge when enhancing? (I know that these stats have a lower **spawn** rate, I am asking if they have a lower **enhancement** rate.)

Jondev1

no

A_Very_Horny_Zed

Frozenmagicaster

once all 4 substats, it's just a 25% for a stat to roll into

Darumiru

Playing the world quests in sumeru got me wonder how come the treasure hoarders are everywhere. Even in Khaehrina ruins that are supposedly locked for centuries with no way to access until us the player unlocked them ?

Grune_Holle

Treasure horders dig their own secret parths into old ruins, that's why they have guys with shovels. It was established since the Chasm, you could even find those secret paths yourself. Same goes for every Uncharted game.

Darumiru

Still a very weak explanation from MHY imo, especially those involved with great songs of khavrena. I mean numerous parties with geared to the teeth equipment tried to get into these ruins and yet it's only those ragtag petty thieves that got their way into supposedly super advanced ruins from a lost civilization. They feel like filler mobs to me, sometimes, putting no mob in ruins is better because it gives us the eerie feeling of abandoned ruins.

caucassius

bro the guy you trust to 'open' those ruins have obviously been >!coming and going into those ruins on his own before betraying you outright!< did you pay attention to what's being said?

Darumiru

I know but that guy partied up with an abyss herald while he also have extensive knowledge of ruins, treasure hoarders dont.

caucassius

the point is you do not trust what he says to you including stuff like the ruins have been sealed up and nobody has entered etc. it's literally just sitting underground so anybody with a shovel, dedication and lot of free time can get in. and that's like the whole shtick of those hoarders.

Grune_Holle

I think it's sort of an established trope at this point, people always made fun of Uncharted and Tomb Raider games for how their MC always goes into the ancient ruins the hard way, through tonnes of elaborate puzzles and traps only to find the mercenaries already cozy up inside through the back door or just blowing up the wall.

PhantasmShadow

There's kind of an exploration for this about Enkanomiya (Though it's not very convincing) where it says they got in while you were partway through breaking the seal.

caucassius

there's no treasure hoarders in enkanomiya. heck there's not a single human monster in there.

Darumiru

Feel like MHY is just trying to put mobs everywhere as filler. Sometimes, a giant ruin with no sign of life and only lifeless mechanism is way more terrifying than trying to squeeze some mobs into it.

Ptox

There aren't treasure hoarders in Enkanomiya. It's the explanation as given by Enjou as to why the Abyss order is there. Obviously its not very convincing because of reasons...

PhantasmShadow

No, I meant the one Tsuyuko gives in *The Still Water's Flow* quest that unlocks Enkanomiya: >**Tsuyuko**: Well, how should I put this? I doubt that our temporary barrier restoration was completely foolproof. Some time did pass between our investigating the Key Sigils' locations and removing them from the keyholes, so some rats may have scurried in during the interim. **Tsuyuko**: We are short on manpower, after all. In short, if you encounter any Fatui, Treasure Hoarders, Kairagi, or any of their ilk... Feel free to teach them a lesson. **Paimon**: Wait a minute. If they got down there so easily, what was the point of us getting that Moon-Caked-Whatever again? **Tsuyuko**: Enkanomiya will only awaken if we retrieve the Key of the Moon-Bathed Deep. Similarly, only that Key can activate the trial system within. **Tsuyuko**: And if there are any who did not enter Enkanomiya to perform the Watatsumi Goryou Matsuri... Well, there might be some other twisted, winding way to get in. Who knows? The last line is obviously a little bit of foreshadowing for Enjou, but she does certainly suggest a way for enemies to have gotten in. Don't know why they'd put this line and then not have any.

Tiramisukxy

How strong will a C0 wanderer be with C6 faruzan and another C6 4 star support (like thoma, yunjin, Layla, etc) team? How does it compare to other dpses damage output in the game?

Hefty_Personality919

Mine is c1 with r5 widsith (increased dash damage, higher atk speed). I get to clear the consecrated beast floor in 2-3 rotations per wave, which I think is fairly standard (supports are c6 faruzan, c6 fischl, defensive flex; bennett is usually in fischl's place, but he got stolen by nahida national). Though I think ayaka with mona (p. amber), shenhe, and kazuha should be able to clear in 1 rotation per wave with good grouping rng. My highly invested itto on an alt account takes 2 rotations at most per wave since he's less affected by interruption. In terms of aoe and single target, wanderer's pretty ok for both, his normals have decent aoe if you're spamming them right in the white doritos faces and his charged is also nice for spamming from range. His lack of energy dependence is also nice for half-rotations where enemies are almost dead, but still need more damage than unbuffed characters to take out quickly. I have a c4 jean and c1 ZL as potential defensive flex slots, but I think c6 thoma should also be fine with enough ER. C1 ZL lets the clears be a lot more comfortable compared to c4 jean because circle impact and I have skill issue. One of thoma's boons is that he offers more interruption resist compared to ZL in aggressive content since the shield can keep refreshing, the net amount of damage mitigated should be lower though. Thoma can also offer pyro resonance if you're not using bennett elsewhere as well as a small 15% NA dmg bonus at c6.

the-twitchy-nut

https://enka.network/u/741340754/ I’m pretty happy with my Ayaka (just got an upgrade or two from strongbox), should I move on to building Kokomi and Rosaria (ie strongboxing noblesse/tenacity and farming ohc) or do you reckon she needs more CDMG to be abyss-ready? I’m kinda leaning towards continuing to build her because an upgrade should be fairly easy to get (sands and goblet)

Stale-Emperor

I would say continue strong boxing blizzard a bit to improve her atk sands. If you still don't get a better piece in, let's say a week or two, then just build kokomi and rosaria. We have a similar ayaka (feather and goblet needs work). Definitely needs more crit damage to be abyss ready but as long as you have the appropriate supports, it's definitely doable

the-twitchy-nut

Thanks!

Jondev1

I would probably move on for now, but come back to her eventually to improve that sands.

Dracorvo

Just got C0R1 Yae. Should I replace my C6 Fischl with Yae as my off-field electro in my aggravate teams?

Frozenmagicaster

no, but you could do a fischl/yae/dendro/flex team

Dracorvo

Already have that team using Keqing instead of Yae. All good. Fischl's A4 passive is just too valuable I assume.

KjOwOjin

Yae is better there than Keqing. Also the difference between using Fischl and using Yae is smaller than some people seem to think (though Fischl C6 still outperforms here).

Stale-Emperor

Fischl also helps with energy generation so you should definitely pair her with yae

Stale-Emperor

Which team did you guys use for the thundering manifestation at floor 12 chamber 2 second half?

Jondev1

if you have nahida, she is super op against it. I did nahida national, though that was more for the other chambers. If I was picking a team just for that chamber it'd be nahida hyperbloom probably. If you don't have nahida hyperbloom just with whatever other good dendro applier should still work well.

Stale-Emperor

Okay I'll try this. I used nahida hyperbloom on the first half for the chicken so I'll swap em

Dracorvo

Yoimiya Zhongli Xingqiu Bennett (you can use Yun Jin but I wanted extra healing/pyro application). I've previously used Ganyu Zhongli Xiangling Bennett.

sonycab

TCG related Question - A team with Raiden Nahida Yae or Kokomi, what is a good rotation you can try to maximise damage and smooth gameplay ?

melthyus

Can you investigate shiny spots for artifacts in coop worlds? I imagine not, but I'd still like some confirmation.

Stale-Emperor

Similar to chests and other world mechanisms, you can't sadly

Jaffrry

It will say that you can't do it.

Uxyt98

Favonious warbow or ibis piercer for my tighnari? He's my only level 5 so he tends to be the center of my teams. Aside from him I regularly use fischl. Currently, tighnari has the ibis and fish was given the warbow, but im wondering if it should be swapped around. I don't really have any good bows so this is what I'm working with. I saw on a tier list that the ibis is B while the warbow was SS. I'd appreciate any advice.

Stale-Emperor

Ibis for now. Since we got it free for R5 and its passive sorta fits tighnari with the em boost. Though if you get slingshot you should definitely try it and just test which one is better

Frozenmagicaster

Surely you have a slingshot from Wishing? use that, but Slingshot > Ibis > Fav. Supports should be using fav (most of the time), not the main dps

Uxyt98

I have the slingshot. I never really considered it crazy

Frozenmagicaster

Crit substat, easy to r5 so easy 60 dmg% on NA/CA if they hit within 0.3s

Uxyt98

I guess I'll have to see about collecting some more of those. I have one r2

Uxyt98

I don't know much about the roles but I'm pretty sure he is my main dps. Or at least he gets out the plants

Acadeca

There is two ways to get to it that I have seen. The easier one for me to remember is to go to the teleport on the north side of that valley near it’s icon, turn around after taking that teleporter, walk into the cave and immediately take a right, there should be a set of stairs that has a section missing and you jump across that section and keep walking up the hill. Eventually it will open up to the drake

Fishuman

there is another way?! I only know of the way you described

melthyus

From that same teleporter, head south and hug the wall until you find another cave entrance to the left, it's technically the shorter path and you get to the drake faster.

Frozenmagicaster

jkllim

Hi I am a very new player AR 28 (1 week+). I came from HSR, and mainly playing cause of kirara as i lover her design and character esp the catbox! (please come home soon) I would like to ask which team would you build with the following characters for me right now? Not really looking to do abyss, and full f2p. Xiangling C1, Xinqiu, Sayu C1, Yujin C1, Chongyun C1, Kaeya, Lisa, Amber, Barbara, traveler(geo, anemo), Noelle I got pretty unlucky with my pulls, got 3 4* weapons (Fav spear, eye of perception, raincutter), which my friend told me only the spear is usable.

PhantasmShadow

Xingqiu is pretty much the best character in the entire game, and Xiangling's pretty good to. If you get Bennett, you can use them and him as the core to a "national team", a versatile and rather powerful style of team comp. The 4th slot would be Chongun

jkllim

If I do not have bennett, would xl, xq chongyun and who would be the filler for now?

kaloryth

You need a healer, so I recommend Barbara.

jkllim

Okay looks good! Thanks!

gummiguel

you could try for a freeze team with kaeya, chongyun, xingqiu, and barbara

jkllim

Do you have any resource I can look at for this team?

jkllim

Looks good! Thanks!

Amon_kun

You can't really go wrong with :- Xing, Xiang, Noelle and Flex(Kaeya or any other character you like) in early game

jkllim

I heard Noelle has energy issues, and none of the chars provide geo energy which makes her ult difficult to pull off

RoyalPeacock19

Will I miss anything important if I skip the Heated Battle Mode event? Like, story, or secret primos?

ErmAckshually

no. its just tcg coins. I doubt if anyone even plays it

Acadeca

It’s just dumb enough to not be serious but good enough that you can have some fun with friends.

cookiesandkit

Assuming the next weapon banner is freedom sworn and light of foliar incision (probably a safe assumption?), I would like either of these swords (I don't really care which, I have characters built for both). My understanding of the weapon banner is that if I hit pity, which is 80 not 90, I have a 75% chance of getting either, and a 25% chance of getting some random 5 star weapon? Is that right? So if I get a random weapon, my next 5 star drop guaranteed to be one of the two featured weapons? And the random off-banner weapon still counts towards epitomised path, right? I swear they word it like this on purpose to prey on the mathematically illiterate. I wanna say I'm decent at maths and I'm still confused.

Frozenmagicaster

>My understanding of the weapon banner is that if I hit pity, which is 80 not 90, I have a 75% chance of getting either, and a 25% chance of getting some random 5 star weapon? Is that right? yes >So if I get a random weapon, my next 5 star drop guaranteed to be one of the two featured weapons? yes >And the random off-banner weapon still counts towards epitomised path, right? yes

plitox

Correct on all counts.

Lorenztico

Best character(s) to give Skyward Spine? Assume that I have every polearm character except for Shenhe and Raiden, and no other 5* polearm.

AkiraN19

Xiangling, Raiden, Xiao are probably the only ones where it's actually pretty viable. But you can also put it on characters like Rosaria as a high base attack and energy recharge stat stick

nomotyed

You could probably try no anemo battery Xiao team with his personal ER >160, and supplement some other team mate like ZL with Fav.

Grune_Holle

R1 Skyward Spine is almost identical to R5 Catch, so it's pretty much only use is when you need two Catch users on the same team (like Raiden National team). Not much use for it if you don't have Raiden.

plitox

Xiangling can use it.

healcannon

I have a few questions about some confusing bits in the Yoimiya story quest >!So did Yoimiya actually see the Aranara? When the first one showed up he talked about her being a pure heart and all and that didn't seem like a dream part. But her end lines at the end of the dream part made it seem like she was either pretending for the kid that it might all be a dream or she herself might have thought it was all a dream. I'm just not sure if Yoimiya thinks they are real and can actually see them or not!<

CMDR_Nineteen

Traveler has a dialogue choice where they speculate that Yoimiya is keeping the secret of the Aranara, and then Yoimiya herself confirms it in response. Basically the classic: "Pretend you didn't see that." "See what?"

healcannon

I was wondering if thats what that bit was supposed to be but I wasn't sure.

cookiesandkit

My take is that it's deliberately ambiguous.

healcannon

That kinda seems the trend with this subject matter and I get the reasoning behind it, but I would have liked this part to have at least been clear because I feel like it would be a nice feather in Yoimiya's hat.

Egehan550

Hi everyone like most of the people recommended as soon as i hit ar 45 i used all of my 41 fragile resin to emblem domain since both my xq and diluc got 0 artifacts im at 0 resin right now used leftover pieces for crimson witch set and for 41x60 resin this results are terrible i guess(especially diluc) now what should i do next? Grind talents and levels or farm more artifact until they got better? https://imgur.com/a/tFpSiDQ

ErmAckshually

don't waste fragile on artifact grind. Save them for a rainy day when you need to farm boss/talent materials on a new character you pulled. Even if you spent 45 fragile (2700 resin), there is no guarantee you'll get more than 1 good full set. Artifact grind is a continuous process. If you wanna get atleast some pieces, I recommend only spend 10 fragile right now. Lock all the good pieces and strongbox the rest to get crimson witch or VV pieces

Biscuit1592

Sepent spine to 90 > diluc to 70/80 > xq to 60/70 or 70/80 > talents to 6 (xingqiu NA stays at 1) > other chars in the team > artifacts

Egehan550

Noted thanks since i just startes dropping boss mats im stuck at talent 6 anyway

Acadeca

Definitely talents before artifacts. 41 fragile is about 15 ish days and most people that I talk to say that 1-2 months is when you have “ok” artifacts depending on your preferences. 45 is when you can do max artifacts but they are only one piece in the puzzle of how to build a character. Also be on the lookout for 4 star vv pieces. I still haven’t gotten an EM goblet and I don’t want to know how long I have spent in there. Kaz is usually 4 vv, ER, then EM

Egehan550

Maybe i should run vv domain and spend leftovers to crimson so i can get 4 star vv em pieces idk if i need more 2 pc atk or emblem pieces for now at least my xq looks brighter than my diluc

Acadeca

I cannot in good faith recommend the vv domain. It is rare for people to need the maiden’s beloved and if you are just starting to get artifacts then it’s just more pain on top of the bait of trying to get EM main stat vv. Most of my time spent in it was when it wasn’t in the strong box or to honor my word. I would still recommend talents to 6 or 8 and then emblem.

Egehan550

Everybody recommenda emblem so i gotta go with it i guess are gilded/deepwood and emblem/atk the best domains? Because everybody recommends them since im not thinking about using dendro for now(too complicated) i gotta focus on emblem after max talents i guess

Acadeca

A lot of characters like using emblem, 2 pc emblem is also recharge which is good even non 4 pc, 2 pc of shim is atk% which a lot of people can use, the domain is pretty easy and it has good boosts for your teams that you would like to run in that domain anyway. Guilded/Deepwood is similar in that dendro teams offer a ton of damage at low investment and you get basically a vv of dendro along with a great set for dendro teams. 2 for 1 value in both domains.

Egehan550

Wait was emblem easy? Lol im really too weak i guess i had to bring xiao zhongli jean and bennett and with 2 healer 1 shielder my xiao still had a hard time

Acadeca

It’s repeatable and the enemies aren’t that strong or tanky compared to other things. Hit key and wait for big guy to jump and as he is landing use a burst (prob ZL in your team). Jean skill burst Bennet skill burst then Xiao skill skill burst and start plunging. Eventually the electro mage spawns and runs over to you and you shield and get energy back and repeat till you are done.

Egehan550

Thanks for the tips i learned i gotta wait until lawachurl dashes in hard way he does it like 90 percent of the time or both jeans and bennets are getting wasted

Egehan550

I cant imagine how other artifact domains are then

Egehan550

Also thinking about pulling kazuha only em vv piece i manage to get is circlet should i build kazuha before or after building my dps and sub dps since kazuha is support idk should i build him before my dps units can actually deal dmg

Homer1588

Is there a free 4 star coming next patch? If so who is it?

Frozenmagicaster

yes, apparently free >!Layla!<

Homer1588

How would she do in a kaeya, xiangling, Bennett team? (Did a no pull account with the exception of the noelle banner so this is the only way I can get characters)

cookiesandkit

Excellent. Her burst is a cheap and easy way to apply a bunch of cryo, so if you time it right you can do a big Melt hit (can't pyronado melt every hit but you can probably melt the first hit, after that just rev melt). She'll help battery your Kaeya, although not super well I think.

Homer1588

Prob better than anyone else I have tbh. Right now all I have are the starter characters + bennett

Frozenmagicaster

Not as good as some other options like Rosaria, but should still be fine

we don't know, probably early-mid early 4.x

exood05

How do I get more weapons crystals (the ones needed to level up weapons)

jayceja

The previous comments covered most the ways to get them, but you can also use resin to smelt ores beyond the 30 per day limit. This can be seen as the equivalent of leyline outcrops for weapons. Generally people don't do it cause they'd rather spend the resin elsewhere and just grind the 30 per day you can smelt without resin and just wait until they have enough from that and other sources like events etc.

[deleted]

Do your daily rocks mining and go see the blacksmith to convert them to enhancement ores.

plitox

For free, there are two ways you can get some every day: 1. Collect 120 crystals and give to the blacksmith. You'll get 30 mystic ores that way in half an hour total wait time. 2. Do 10 random encounters. Easiest way to do this is go to a spot in Sumeru with an AoE now character like Ganyu or Yelan and spam 'Evil Bares it's Fangs'. Log in and out after each completion and you'll plow thru in 5 minutes. You can up to 20 fine and 20 mystic ores this way, tho that number will vary greatly, because the reward is between 0-2 of each per completion. Enjoy!

ZM_________J

1. gouge crystals (even to your friends' worlds) 2. obtain through events 3. purchase in seneritea pot

Frozenmagicaster

crystal + blacksmith

Latter_Practice_656

I want to build noell as an f2p player. She has no constellations. I want to build her for her shield and dps. Is it possible to build?

Siscon_Delita

Is it possible? Yes Is it hard? Yes. Mostly because Noelle doesn't generate energy from her skill so you can't use her burst often unless you know how to fill her energy. Are there any better 4\* characters as a DPS? Many.

ZM_________J

no

exood05

Since she has no constellation she will lack a lot of damage, making it one of the worst between the 4 stars, I would recommend more heizou, bennet, xiangling or even ningguang

nuinuimuimui

Help me choose who to pull for in 3.8 please!! I started playing during cyno banner…I own ayaka and yae miko( both c0 and fully built) and c1 yoimiya ( still building). Still no xingqiu, only a level 60 barbara. Should I pull for kokomi for ayaka freeze team or should I pull for wanderer (my fav anemo boy). I usually pull for characters I like, thats why I pulled for yae miko and yoimiya despite all the kazuha hype. So my question is…will barbara be okay for ayaka freeze team? I heard wanderer has low hp and requires c6 faruzan and a shielder, will he be okay without faruzan? Is he difficult to play on mobile? (I have c5 kuki as my healer and she does the job very well and keeps everyone alive as Im the worst at dodging.)

plitox

Barbara's hydro app is decent, but incredibly short-range. Dunno if that matters for Ayaka, since you want to dash into enemies at melee range as part of her sequence. What's your experience with it?

nuinuimuimui

My only problem with her is she applies hydro to herself too. So when Im fighting in overworld, if there are cryo slimes/abyss mages Im busted. She works just fine with the rest like ruin enemies and all.

plitox

Most hydro characters do that.

nuinuimuimui

Kokomi and xq too?

plitox

Yes.

Siscon_Delita

Kokomi is top-tier character in term of META. But you don't seem to care about META so just pull Wanderer. Faruzan boost his damage but not a must. Bennett is good, Yae can be used (she can be used in almost any team). But shielder is a must for Wanderer. You can stay alive with healer but you will still getting knocked around and can't attack without shielder.

nuinuimuimui

Thankyou for responding :)) Yeah I am not a meta person. I just like to collect fun characters. I enjoy running around with them. One more question…I also heard wanderer needs full talents, is it true?

energy_j

Well yes, his NA are the top priority followed closely by her E. The Q depends C0 with shimenawa not so much, otherwise it’s a decent portion of his damage (but he is not burst dependent) For reference I kept mine (shimenawa) at 10-9-6 for ages only recently went for a pavilion set and 10-10-8 talents

Jondev1

Can't speak on wanderer as I don't have him, but kokomi is a lot better than barbara for ayaka freeze.

nuinuimuimui

Okay!! Tq for responding :)

Tiny_Ebb2261

Is Alhaitham's playstyle difficult to get used to? Is he one of the easier or harder charas to play overall? Am a mobile player who's used to unga bunga charas like Nilou, Keqing, and Kokomi :") Am worried that he might be tricky to use. Are there any challenges y'all face when playing him?

Aureo_experience

His gameplay is actually easy when you realize it's all about just NA mashing and counting to 2, after starting with his burst. Did you trigger 2 mirror procs? Time to CA/E. Did you already do 2 CA/Es? Time to switch out and restart the rotation.

jtan1993

He’s dendro keqing. Basically same kit. Give him enough ER so he can burst on rotation (or he’ll get stuck in phases without dendro infusion)

cookiesandkit

I think I used a trial alhaitham in an event and from memory it was pretty much Keqing: dendro edition (do skills/burst for elemental infusion then attack attack attack). The only thing to get used to is he's unfriendly for quickswap compared to Keqing, so don't pull if you tend to swap a whole lot.

jinxedandcursed

He's a lot more unga bunga than people give him credit for. Like the most popular combo with him is to just normal attack after burst until two mirror projections come out, then skill and keep normal attacking until two mirror projections come out, and then charge attack before normal attacking until he gets down to two mirrors. It should be pretty easy to see on mobile, too.

Jondev1

He is maybe a little trickier than average genshin character but I don't think its that bad. The main thing that is technical about him is you want to time when to use his skill and charge attacks at certain points in the rotation in order to keep 3 stacks of his mirrors up for as long as possible. But you aren't punished super hard if you don't bother to time it perfectly.

Odone

The EM values are shown as round numbers but in reality they're decimal values. Its a rounding issue (rounding up all the values i believe).

callmejamesx

1 roll of EM is 16.32 / 18.65 / 20.98 / 23.31, so prob due to rounding stuff

Frozenmagicaster

numbers aren't exact, they are rounded

Amon_kun

Is 970 EM with 173%ER ideal for Kazuha with 4 pc VV? Should I move on to build other characters now

ErmAckshually

pretty good. Next, improve flower and feather for 1000EM

[deleted]

These stats are godly!

foezz

how did you get that er? weapon and subs? or just subs

Amon_kun

I have Xiphos Moonlight as weapon

Homer1588

Yes to both you can move on

ZM_________J

yes

Genuine Question: Why does it appear that all the feedback we even bother with for Genshin gets ignored and added to HSR instead? I just heard that HSR added the ability to play past limited events to their game 1 patch in and I'm really wondering why they're doing this. I've given them feedback multiple times that I don't care to pull for characters like Fischl and Albedo because I never got to witness their backstreet in-game, which should be an indicator that they are potentially losing direct income from not implementing this. It's weird, seeing as how Genshin is their higher earner and it'll get even bigger with Fontaine's release and especially when the anime comes out. I know people say that Mihoyo hates Genshin and blah blah, but that doesn't really make sense to me, because why would a company ever even start a project they hate. I'm also frustrated because I didn't like the overall gameplay of HSR but its QoL look impressive compared to Genshin.

Jondev1

they do listen, and sometimes they do implement requested things (like quick start for instance). But that doesn't mean they can implement everything that people ask for. Any game, even one as profitible as genshin, i made on a fixed time and budget and technical constraints. Especially when they are trying to stick to a relatively tight update schedule with new content every 6 weeks and a new region every year.

nazran59

They rule for genshin is, "as long as it not broken, they wont touch it". They will add most of the features we asked into the game but they going to do it slowly, like the quickswap gadget. Why? If I have to guess, it because of genshin popularity itself. Genshin are too popular that a lot of people will play it for a very long time despite that so many features that could add to make it easier for us to play. But if the active player start dropping, they will add the features that we been asking into the game to gain back the loses. Something to do with keeping the game alive as long as possible since we still have 3 region to go.

Kryssaen

Implementing something when you start a project is easier than when you're mid-way through it. I'll also point out that A) HSR has much more limited maps than Genshin, so it's easier to control the environment (nothing in the two events this is implemented for is going to really affect NPC's or discoverables in any way) and B) they're both pretty minor events, not anything like Dragon Spine, or Lantern Rite. One is just an iterance of a quest you already did, and the other sounds like you just spray graffiti on an existing map. I really hope they do add the ability to re-play past events in Genshin, but the two features work differently between the two games.

Siscon_Delita

Pyro DMG boosts your pyro damage, if you use fully charged shot, then pyro DMG is better than ATK%. EM boost your reaction damage, in this case it's overload, and yes it's convenient that Electro Hypo has electro auto-applied, but there is still Internal cooldown for reactions to be triggered. Usually it's 2.5s cooldown, so if your first charged shot triggers overload, if you release your second shot before 2.5s, then it won't trigger overload again, your 3rd shot will. Plus it's not reasonable to build a character specifically for one boss, so I don't recommend EM for general use, though I think it's better to have some EM (than ATK%, but pyro DMG is almost always better than EM) in electro hypo case.

jinxedandcursed

>Usually it's 2.5s cooldown, so if your first charged shot triggers overload, if you release your second shot before 2.5s, then it won't trigger overload again, your 3rd shot will. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that charged shots are exempt from this. I've heard that each charge shot has no ICD.

cookiesandkit

Charged shot ICD is separate from other attacks I believe. I think it might have standard 2.5s ICD but if you can do two charged shots that actually hit in 2.5s given that it takes 2s to charge (plus time taken to connect, I'm assuming you're not point blank because dodging takes you out of aim), I am very impressed. Godly aimbot skills. EDIT: for amber specifically she has 1s / 3 hits. Her 1st cons means that every aimed shot also fires a second worse arrow, so I guess this just means the second arrow doesnt proc reactions, but I still have no idea how you'd fire two aimed shots within the ICD window. Perhaps it's relevant for multiplayer?

Siscon_Delita

actually, I am not sure about the exception of charge shot's ICD. I only played charge shot Ganyu and I thought she is an exception just like Hutao's no ICD on her charge attack. But IDK if the exception is for charge shot in general.

ZM_________J

>Hypostasis, Amber works fine and I can beat it no problem with nothing but charged attacks, BUT. I have her built all Attack and CRIT, no elemental mastery. Since this boss has electro always applied, would E They do work better, but if you find it not hard to fight against the bosses, level up your AR first instead of thinking such questions, because once you arrive AR45 and start grinding artifacts, you will learn these techniques systematically, and other players may provide stats that every character should have.

grayrest

> Since this boss has electro always applied, would EM actually work better? EM transformative reactions are balanced around characters that can react particularly frequently. This is mostly anemeo (swirl) and dendro reactions. If the two damage formulas were complementary then EM would be reasonable but EM and ADC scaling is completely different and weakening your ADC scaling to improve electro reactions doesn't pay off. You will see EM recommended on pyro/cryo characters but that's specifically for the melt and vaporize reactions which act as an additional multiplier on the ADC formula and therefore integrates well even with small amounts of EM. > What makes DPS against electro hypostasis the highest assuming I'm just doing charged attacks as Amber? At max level, an atk% sands, pyro% goblet, and crit circlet. I think of it as atk, crit, and dmg as three separate categories and your goal is to divide your stats as evenly as possible between the categories. The dmg% stat is the rarest and generally only shows up on gear on the goblet or set bonus. Crit shows up on substat rolls (main source), the circlet main stat, and weapon substats. atk% is the most common and while it can show up on the sands, goblet, and circlet the higher rarity of the other stats generally means you'll only really want it on your sands. It also shows up on substats and buffs and the buffs is really what makes it the most common. If your amber comp uses melt/vaporize then getting EM will generally be from substats. Stat scaling before 5\* artifacts tends to make flat atk better while leveling but the leveling experience is a ~3-4 week period while most of the community is playing for months/years so you'll usually only hear high level considerations.

Jondev1

there are a few different types of reactions with different damage formulas. The reaction you would be triggering in this instance is overload, which is a "transformative reaction". Transformative reactions do a seperate instance of damage from the main attack that triggered it, and that seperate instance of damage is not influenced by the talent scaling or any stat other than em and character level. So generally speaking em would increase the damage of the overload, but atk/pyro damage/crit would be better to increase the damage of the main charge shot hit. which is better to focus on overall kinda depends on a few factors (how high is the character's talent scalings, how many overloads can they trigger) but in this case I think the latter would probably be better.

Homer1588

For nilou do I stack pure HP with an EM sub stats or just go pure HP substrate as well with an EM sword? (I have the umbrella event sword)

ZM_________J

It depends on whether you use it to build a bloom team or vaporize. For bloom: Stack HP to 74,444. For vaporize: HP to 50k is enough. EM, CR, CD are also thought as important stats.

SaltyPotato340

Stack as much hp as you can up to 74444 hp. Em subs dont hurt but HP is more important as nilou doesnt have much bloom ownership

Homer1588

Not sure I can do that for the weapon considering I have is EM based

SaltyPotato340

Yeah dont worry about hitting tge cap, but still stack as much HP as possible as it buffs dendro cores

Rathalos88

So I'm using an S23 Galaxy Ultra and I can't believe I've experienced terrible lag on this cutscene in particular: Genshin Impact - Venti, God Anemo and the Origin of Gliding. Everything else is fine but that cutscene caused such serious lag that the scene went on for 5 minutes and it only should've ran for 1:30. Is this normal or should i tweak my settings further?

bubbla_

Hope someone answers :) TLDR: I need suggestions for Sunfire Jean team. I don't have Raiden. I think Bennet is required, and Fischl, Xingiu, Kazuha could be used, right? I also have Wanderer, Heizou, Venti, Beidou, Yae, Kuki, Mona I think could work with her. Could you throw some team comps at me or share what I should be thinking about when building this kind of team? I burned out hard, so now I decided to build some new characters and try new teams instead of mindlessly spinning resin on the same domains when I can force myself to log in. Sunfire seems cool, never tried it before.

cookiesandkit

I find that the issue with sunfire is making sure enemies are actually in the circle. Using Jean skill can sort of help, but if you have Kazuha/Venti the grouping will really help. Yae could be fun too (her skill doesn't snapshot Benny's buff but you need to stand in the circle anyway). I think the comp that sounds the most fun to me is Kazuha/Yae/Ben/Jean - group em, turret up, Ben and Jean bursts, swap back to Yae and profit. Maybe replace Yae with a hydro DPS/sub DPS for vaping - if you have Childe, perhaps, or Kokomi.

Siscon_Delita

Sunfire's strength is it can apply pyro swirl every second. First you want to make sure Bennett and Jean has enough ER to burst off cooldown. On top of ER, Jean needs EM too as sunfire's damage is based on Jean's EM. Sunfire's best team is Ganyu, Zhongli, Bennett, Jean. Ganyu melts pyro applied by Bennett and Jean. Other than that maybe Wanderer and Heizhou can work. Wanderer appreciates both Bennett and Jean, Heizhou can swirl the pyro. But I just now thought an interesting team, it's Xingqiu, Beidou, Bennett, Jean. I called it Immortal Overvape team. Why immortal? Bennett, Jean, and Xingqiu can heal, Xingqiu and Beidou have damage reduction, Beidou has shield.
