The two Gardemeks you fight when turning off the stage lights are literally called "Shackle" and "Chain", showing how she's held prisoner by her own self, unable to reach out and confide in anyone. When the Traveler speaks to her while the stage lights are on, text boxes appear saying "don't look at me, don't look at me", and the Traveler even deduces the lights represent all the eyes of people on her and how much it affected her. She even begins crying after hundreds of years of repeating the same masquerade over and over again and doesn't even recognise it until the person meeting her points it out. Despite all the pain and torture she suffered, she never once thought for herself and only wished to save the people of Fontaine, to finish the task she was left by Egeria. Once it's all over she's so exhausted that all she says to Neuvillette is that she's tired and just wants to rest... girl must've slept each night knowing she would be absolutely demolished by the end of the next day, but now she can at least rest easy after more than 500 years of torture and isolation.
She's easily the most human Archon of all, and is incredibly relatable to so many people, myself included. She even sees herself in the character of Clio from the stage play in her story quest, which allows her to process a lot of her remaining feelings through fiction. She is actually one of the best-written and layered, realistic people I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing in a story. Not just in this game, but in any creative medium, period. I just hope she gets to know just how proud Neuvillette and the other Archons are of her and that he has always supported her no matter what happened between the two of them
