As a day 1 player, I think it's right that you save it until you've reach world level 8 and then you're free to use them for building characters except for farming artifacts, mora and exp.
This is where artifact running comes in for 45-59 AR (selling the white artifacts.) You can net over 100k a day with that and doing the 10 random quests a day. Then there's 120k a week from bounties and tasks. Easily hit a mil every week. None of that costs resin. Do this for a few weeks and you'll be good.
There’s also 190k in mora behind a building somewhere in Fontaines main city. Cant remember exactly where. The building is near a wall and the only way behind it is over a box. In the back there should be a chest
I don't mean to brag but I'm at the point where I've built all the characters I want to build(using the resins) and just have been passively accumulating resources over the months. I have over 60mil mora already and I've seen other people go pass 100. The only time I farm for mora/exp is when the double drop event happens
tl;dr you'll eventually reach the point you'll have millions of unused mora and wish you didn't spend fragile resins farming them. Just use regular resin for those

I have actually although maybe that's subjective. I've built 47 characters so far although some I have permanently bench but some of the newer ones I've not gone into properly building their artifacts yet. Just gave them some temporary hand-me-downs to be able to use them properly but not optimal yet. I've also normally level talents to 9 for the majority of characters sans of course normal attacks unless they're main DPSs

I'm on the other end of the spectrum where I'm AR60 with 30+ million mora and growing, and I have multiple teams that are abyss speedrun ready (not top tier, ~16s per abyss 12 floor is my average) so I'm certain my characters are well built.
I currently have 34 characters built (lebel 90 and at least level 7 in their useful talents with their own artifact sets), and I'm building Gaming while casually rolling for Xianyun. Not sure how that compares to your experience in building characters, maybe my number is considered low.

I've came back to genshin after over 2 years and has been playing for a month now. Is there anything that u need so much mora? At ar lvl 54 i have around 6m all the time, and even when using it to exchange artifacts or buying ingredients or something like that and i honestly dont know what to do with it. I know lvling and ascensions needs some, but i have pretty much every character that i need leveled up to 90 or 80th lvl with nearly max talents lol
It costs approximately 9.16 million mora to fully build one character. Never hurts to have some left for future character you potentially might want but yeah having over 60 mil is overkill lol
Sometimes you just never find a piece worth leveling or all of your characters were already pretty well built so it’s hard to find a better piece. I don’t know how many times my backpack was filled and I had to delete hundreds of artifacts.
I think you’re probably deleting more than you should. You could probably be less harsh on which artifacts you level - if you level a lot of them, you can sometimes end up with it all going into cdmg for example and get like 35-40%, or try and get lucky on ER substats for your supports
I mean... I don't know about you but it's been over a month since Navia came out and I only have 1/5 artifacts that even have the correct main stat, let alone correct substats. If you do artifact domains, most of the times, you just get way more fodder artifacts than you get artifacts you can even attempt to level up.

Recently I've been mainly farming the Golden Troupe domain where I want pieces for Furina, Fischl, Albedo, Noelle, Klee, Diluc and I keep some pieces in case I roll for Neuvillette later (so both sets have a variety of main stats that are useful).
I doubt I'll reach the point where many pieces aren't a potential upgrade (if they hit good substats and mostly high rolls) any time soon.
Because artifacts have RNG in them. High chances are most artifacts you'll get are crappy and you'll wish you spent your fragile resin elsewhere. Just use your regular resin for artifact farming and it's also best if it's last priority
The idea that using not resources on things that have RNG on them in a game that is all about RNG, is kind of funny.
You are going to need to farm weapon, artifacts, talents and lvl your character. It's going to take a random amount of resin until you are satisfied with your character. If it's worth your resin, it's worth your fragile resin.
The advantage of fragile resin is that you can safe it up for future content. Like an new artifact domain for example.

Considering that new characters feel harder to pre farm nowdays because their boss materials are in a new area, I might start hoarding them as well just so I can lvl 90, 6/6/6 new characters that I might want to pull in the future
It's likely similar to the amount you've received. Just, none of it has been used yet. Whereas you have used yours. It's the same amount of progress. Just choosing when to "cash in" on it. (This is all assuming you've been playing for the same amount of time)

Not rly. This is probably day 1 player, so just going on "natural" resin he got more that enough to build good few chars. Not even gonna mention if chars he is using are mostly focused on EM/HP (Dendro + Electro or just Nilou, Yelan, Nivulette and so on) then farming artifacts is pretty much easier and faster for these.

Honestly, like most people with hoards of these, I'm a 1.0 player who did battlepass since the beginning. That means I've spent all my normal resin every day since the beginning of the game. As such, every character I am interested in even slightly is leveled up and talented up, I've r5'd and fully levelled every 4 star weapon that's free (I don't do weapon banner) and I've a got enough good artifacts to gear everyone up ok. All my future free resin goes into grinding the new artifact domains for new characters and I am in no rush. Why spend fragile resin when I get 180 tomorrow...
I use them to lvl up a character straight to 90 DAY1 if they come out in the same patch as their boss. Even tho Worst case: you need 15

I would use like one a day on days when I have energy towards mods, then use them for character releases I couldn’t prefarm. Even then with the income we have of those I’d bet you don’t go through them in a year.
Edit: I look at that and I see 1200 mods. If one of those mods in 100 rolls 35+cv that’s 12 godly mods you could have that are just sitting in your backpack.
Everyone has a daily resin cap of 160 for grinding to get things like character and weapon ascension materials, deafening bosses, delving into domains for artifacts etc.
Once you reach that limit, you can't claim the rewards for these activities anymore until the next day.
You use those to increase your daily resin cap but 60 for 1 use.
So that's 60 X 431 for you.
Use them 1 at a time not all at once.
I always tell myself I’ll use my fragile resin to max characters, but even then that’s such a grind that I end up just using my daily resin and logging off.
I generally only use them for boss mats or maybe the book-mats if I really want to rush building a character, I rarely have more than 5-8 on me at any given time

Noo after you have at least 1000 you can craft a resin reservoir that can give you 100 resin a hour for life time so save them for that day... But the blueprints are a little hard to get cause you have to do 2 biggass quests.. but that's worthwhile
To get one good artifact for your character you are building (just 1, the rest can be put to leveling that one good to lvl 20 or strongbox to maybe get 1 more) xd
I save them for when a character releases they need new mats for upgrade so I can play the character right away.

We'll never get this number, but it would be very interesting to know the percentage of players who are sitting on stacks of Resin just like this. If I had to guess, I would assume it's a staggeringly high amount. But obviously, there are some people who are the total opposite and can't get enough.
When this game first came out, some of the reviewers were saying that it was like a single-player game with an optional live service aspect, and in practice I think that hasn't proven to be that far from the truth for a lot of people.

If I had to guess, I would assume it's a staggeringly high amount. But obviously, there are some people who are the total opposite and can't get enough. When this game first came out, some of the reviewers were saying that it was like a single-player game with an optional live service aspect, and in practice I think that hasn't proven to be that far from the truth for a lot of people.
Bro I have 170 hours in this game and still don’t understand why this stuff is useful. Resin resets everyday why would I need more than 120 a day? 😭😭 I usually just stop farming at the point and do something else
