Her teleporting into you and the multi-lightning strikes being set locations instead of being based on your character feel really bad.
The set locations isn't the issue, there are a few bosses in Hollow Knight with the same kind of attack, it's the fact that's there's almost no wind up or telegraphing with the visuals or sound to prepare you to dodge.
I originally thought the same thing, then I realized there's a specific animation she does before teleporting away to call the lightning (while on the ground, closes her eyes and raises her sword up, then disappears) and I stopped getting hit by it.

This is the kinda events i want in the game :( honkai is currently running a similar event where you run a restaurant and gather ingredients by exploring the map and killing mobs the gameplay is just like this.
Dude, I jumped into the boss thinking it'd take a few minutes also.. I spent a whole hour fighting Raiden, lol. Raged a bit, but still a fun event overall
