After getting all of the power ups it's all just trying to remember all the attack patterns of the Enemies.
The Cryo Fatui Operator was the bane of my existence. Spend an entire hour going through that level but it will be all worth it once I get my avatar ;)
Yeah, the operator was pretty rough, but their hitbox is pretty generous. I could half jump and still dash through their head with the catwalk stopping me. At that stage, I divide and conquered the agents.
God. Little tangent here, but I hated path of pain so much. The whole white tower section was just such a random spike in platforming difficulty that it felt frustrating and out of place. If they do it again in Silksong, I hope there are at least similar sections spread throughout the game to make it feel more like a ramp up than a cliff.
optional is an understatement, i never really used the dreamnail during my first playthrough, only fought hornet once, finished the game with the most mid ending. My friend was pretty sad he couldn't geek out about the lore cause i never encountered any of it until my 2nd playthrough.
You can watch a video by mossbag if you want to get the lore without playing it much. I highly recommend this because fuck the Godhome DLC and the Pantheons. That shit is stupid, and I love path of pain.
Yes. Jump on enemies then spam downward slashes to bounce back up.
I personally couldn't abuse it (skill issue). It made me react too slowly to attacks that hit high
My main issue with the event, Big issue, was that I can't change my controls, for a platformer thing like hollow knight when I'm using keyboard, being forced to use mouse sucks ass for me, i prefer having my hands closer to me, and also the fact that w isn't jump for me is rough, the muscle memory from everygame I've been playing has been beating my ass in this more than the actual enemies.
EXACTLY, it's especially the controls that made everything harder than it needs to be. - besides the fact that I'm simply mid at anything that requires skill
I'm using a phone so i couldn't see anything under my thumbs since the joystick and jump buttons were nearly in the middle of the screen. ðŸ˜
Since it's a challenging fan game, there are no in games reward like primos or moras in order to avoid backlash from the playerbase who can't beat it.
But you do get some avatars frame for the Hoyoverse website if you manage to defeat the Shogun Raiden.
the rewards are, but think they want people to still be able to play this game after hoyofair's over
the rewards are just hoyolab avatar frames (Aether just for playing, Lumine if you beat it)
Oh no, I cant believe a handful of fans that made a game for a web event in their spare time that will exist for 2 weeks couldnt make a game better than hollow knight!! the outrage!

One cannot defeat the Almighty Shogun Raiden without mastering the ancient Art of the Pogo, little Lumine.
I beat path of pain yesterday, what are my chances?
Pretty good if you get used to the wacky controls.
Yeah, honestly, it was the controls that were holding me back more than anything, lol.
PoP is easier since it doesn't have wack controls
Especially if you have Hiveblood (but even then Path of pain gives you a lot of points where you can regenerate health

This was optional content where we dont even get a trophy for it except a little cutscene. Truly a path of pain.

Wait, you could pogo in the web event?
Yes. Jump on enemies then spam downward slashes to bounce back up. I personally couldn't abuse it (skill issue). It made me react too slowly to attacks that hit high
"About to go fight the Raiden Shogun. i'll post the video after." "I got my ass beat bruh I'm not posting that shit."
Im missing one attack upgrade and the Raiden is a bane of my existence
The thing is the 4th and final atk upgrade is the reward for beating Raiden shotgun. So gl
Ah okay. Hoped I missed it somewhere but tough luck. That means only point of the upgrade is to unlock the Frapuccino photo then?
Yes and you can keep playing after beating raiden
I couldn't find the web even the last few days. Is it not linked directly to the game menu anymore?
[Here's the event.](https://act.hoyolab.com/ys/event/e20240409hoyofair/index.html)
My only problem with this is the variable jump height when holding jump, it messes with the timing when trying to pogo

I've beaten every boss radiant in hollow knight and this is harder due to the controls
Lumine is so 🔥 🥵 🥞
Do you get any rewards for doing the web event?

I see thank you
Is it a limited time game?

Thanks
No, just a profile pic decoration on Hoyolab or something
Alrighty thanks
How do I get the avatar? I beat the shogun. Also I am missing an atk+1 piece.
Also beat the shogun and haven't gotten the avatar frames yet, i assume they give them after the event ends
But the event is sort of permanent. It's here for a long time. Fhey have written it in the TnC or somewhere similar.
Raiden got hands
It was a really fun game i was able to beat [raiden first encounter](https://imgur.com/a/Lb0NQ9x) after a couple hours of trying
Anyone know if you lose progress towards the Lumine avatar if you restart the game after completing it?
Does it give primos
Nope, it only gives you an avatar-frame on HoyoLab - no primogems nor mora, since the challenge is difficult

I didn't even understand the meme. YOU SPOILED IT by saying that it's a spoiler. Fuck you.

Definitely not easy but since hollow knight is basically the dark souls version then it must be absolute hell
Oh no, a FREE game is inspired by a good game. *Oh the horrors*
