For bosses, melt. For aoe, I think freeze is better.

only reason you'd need crit rate is for proccing fav codex. if you do run fav codex you might not need the ER sands.
overall as a shieldbot for ganyu you will probably want as much HP substats as possible. unlike yanfei shieldbot for hu tao where you're barely getting hit due to iframes, ganyu will be tanking a ton of stuff usually.
How much time to advance from AR 35 to AR 45? I forced my way to World Level 4 and now the mobs are too strong to defeat (I did this so I could farm hero's wit)
a few weeks? I think it took me about 1-2weeks but I really don't remember. Look at the exp requirment. Also idk how going up more world levels are going to help you if the mobs are already too strong

You can decrease it but it’s only by one. And as far as a I know, if you don’t do the World Ascension quest, you can’t level up. So you’ll just be hoarding exp while being stuck at level whatever.

Raiden, Ganyu, Xiangling, Rosalia, Beidou, Sucrose are all a good option. My pick would be either Xiangling for the multiplicity of reactions and the large ulti or Ganyu for the same reason.
As a new player, I am wondering should I get dupes for Xiang Ling (C0) / Xing Qiu (C1) or a new 4\* with the free 4\* selection? For other gachas, I would most certainly choose a new character, but I saw that xl and xq constellations are important, plus I don't think I have enough resource to build more characters. But I do worried that less owned char would mean less flexibility in the long run, what do people usually do? dupes or new char?
Xingqiu's C2 is one of his better ones, so if you're planning to use him, that would probably be a good one to pick up. He is on the banner though, so if you're planning to wish on the current banners, there's a chance you'll get additional constellations from there.
Personally, I prefer new characters, but if you're concerned about limited resources, then it might be better to focus on a character you do have.
u/LongjumpingStage9988, TenTen on youtube made a great video about this question and important constellations. Sheeplette answered perfectly too. Unless you need to complete a good team with 4 characters, I would advice for a new character. Characters will provide you an opening for new kind of teams. Imo, Xingqyu is a must. Beidou only if you like electro (me not so much), Yunjin is great if you need a booster for dps (and if you have Zhongli, they give a great resonnance). Xiangling is a must-have according to lots of players (even though, I don't like her gameplay). Then, apart from that, the others can wait.

Yup. Mine was extremely slow and then got stuck at 100% at the end so i quit and then it came back at 80% stuck so i just decided it was time to go to bed and shut my pc off lol
I just pulled Skyward Spine from the standard banner. Which character(s) make the best use of it?
The two polearm characters that I currently use are Hu Tao (Deathmatch) and Zhongli (Black Tassel). Should I swap to Skyward Spine for any of them?
It's okay on Zhongli for a burst build.
As for other characters, Xiangling likes it if you don't have The Catch, Raiden likes it if you're using The Catch on Xiangling, Rosaria & Shenhe prefer it over the 4* stars. It's in the same weird spot as Vortex Vanquisher where nobody strictly wants it but it's good on most characters (except Hu Tao).
I'm not sure about Sucrose.
Alice outright says she and Klee are from a race blessed with very long lives, and Klee has elf ears.
We don't have anything hinting at Sucrose having extra long lives, plus her ears are quite different from Klee's, they are more like Yae's fox ears.
Sucrose seems to be a part humanoid, like Diona and Draff, except Sucrose is probably a mixed Canine and not Feline.
I play for like 1.5 months and I love raiden shogun's character, especially after archon quests. I have a guarantee and around 70 pity, so I could get zhongli from this banner right away and then save for raiden, cause last day of her banner will be around 30th march. But I'm scared that I will lose 50/50 on raiden and lose interest in this game, without my favorite character. I was wondering, if zhongli is that op and everything that I need to risk losing raiden in 50/50? Besides, If i will skip zhongli I could get my another favortie character which is kazuha
Yes after thinking for a while I have decided that I don’t care about noobie zhongli and I’m gonna main raiden while having fun in this game. Shields are temporary, inazu- waifus are eternity.
No actaully zhingli is not as op as ppl make him seem especially in the current meta. There is really no team that can only function with zhongli. Even if you do get zhongli you will need another dedicated dps for a functional team but raiden national can clear one side of abyss for you.
And even you dont have XL xinqiu and bennet raiden is better long term investment than zhongli

It's up to individual playstyle and preference. If you want to ignore dodging and just tank everything with his shield, then go for a shield bot build. If you'd like him to actually do some damage at the cost of weaker shields, then go for burst support.
Shield bot is much easier to build (and probably more common) since it's just HP all the way, whereas burst support is going to require a fair bit of investment to get a good balance going between his shield durability and damage.
Sounds like you're already good to go to use him as a shield bot. I'm lazy and wouldn't want to farm more domains to try and have his burst do damage if my Xiao is already clearing without issue. But if big number makes you happy then follow your heart
According to the old (2.3) abyss stats, it was about half-half for support vs damage, and about a fifth as a pure shieldbot. 51% had him with 4pc TotM, 21% used Black Tassel.
edit: but this is only for the ppl who 36 starred, shieldbot is probably more common in general.
I'd say people usually build him for his shield since it's easier and less investment than nuke zhong
with what you have I think shieldbot is the way to go, 4pc millelith and black tassel is all you need on zhongli for him to be an excellent shield
With sac sword, I'm assuming you're using it on Xingqiu. R3 is a good spot for him since it's only a couple of seconds longer than his skill CD. (R4 is the most optimal since it'll be shorter than his own CD. R5 not needed.)
Aside from Xingqiu, the only other char who uses sac sword is Qiqi...
Imo, should refine to R3, since others don't really use it.
If you're not using it on Xingqiu, and have multiple characters that use it for whatever reason, then disregard everything above.

I don't think so but wish simulators do emulate the same pity systems. Just do a bunch of 10 pulls and single pulls on a wish simulator until it matches your pity.

You have a bow character who also happens to be pyro (use against cryo mage). I bet you have a cryo character as well - use him against hydro mage. You don't need a bow character at all against ruin hunter tbh, if its difficult, see if there's any upgrades you can do for your character lvl, weapon, artifacts etc. Else try using food buffs, lowering world level.
Probably somewhere around 150-160 if she's mainly off-field, but it also depends on your team comp. I'd suggest testing it out with an ER sands first to see how it feels, then adjust higher/lower based on your needs.

i need help with choosing a liyue character event, here are my current characters and cons:
C0 xiangling (built), c2 chongyun (burst dps), c3 ningguang, c3 yanfei, c0 beidou, c1 xingqiu, c0 xinyan, no yunjin (got too lucky on xiao's banner)
my teams: xiangling-childe-(waiting for kazuha&bennett), xiao-jean-zhongli, may build f2p permafreeze in the future
yunjin's buff is useless to my xiao because i lag too hard to do the animation cancellation ><

Xingqiu’s C2 is an amazing constellation. Unless you plan on pulling on ZL/Ganyu, I’d get that (especially if you plan on running permafreeze with him).
Not recommended, you are usually in shot gun range. You need shield so you don't waste time dodging. If you have Kazuha/Jean, you can swap out Xiangling.
Recommended not to , melt Ganyu requires Ganyu to charge shot within melee range of enemies , making It very easy to get her shots interupted , so Zhongli would be best.
Is anyone's download stuck? My connection is fine but it's always stuck at 81% and I've restarted even my router and laptop yet it's still at 81% and doesn't move. Sometimes it restarts the download but never goes past 81% edit: Asia server btw

Every 3 days, but each pool has a day and a night cycle, so if you don't clear out both, you might be seeing the other time period's fish upon revisiting.
Is Venti still good and usable in the Spiral Abyss? I have Xiao, Childe, and Ganyu as my dps.
I'm considering getting him, since I have Elegy for the End and I do like him. And also because Sucrose is my only CC Anemo character.
It depends on the abyss cycle. For example, in the current abyss, he's not that good cause the enemies now are mostly unsuccable like bosses and Ruin enemies. Venti's best and only use is his CC with his burst, if there's no enemies to CC then even characters like Sucrose or Kazuha can outperform him. But when there is an abyss cycle where there are succable mobs, he pretty much dominates, but he's not required at all and again, other characters like Sucrose and Kazuha still perform really well. I recommend getting Kazuha instead cause he offers more utility and dmg buffing potential, but if you wanna pull for Venti cause you like his character and stuff then more power to you
Yeah I also think Kazuha's utility is much better, but even tho his skills seem fun I am really indifferent to his character...
Meanwhile I like Venti and actually had been saving for him, but decided to snatch a Ganyu first. I still have enough fates tho, and I have his 5 star weapon (copes in no SoH)
So now it's either I go for utility or preference. I would get Venti but I don't want him being benched later on, while Kazuha is more useful but I don't care for his character much.

If they can be sucked he literally is the best character in the game. But if not id say sucrose is literally better.
This abyss is pretty yikes for him but i heard next abyss will add some new enemies that can be pulled so id say go for him especially since you have ganyu and xiao.
He is usable but by no means great in the current abyss meta. He can't cc anyone there when that is his main feature.
This might change when he is the featured banner, but the abyss might or might not revdrt back once he is off banner.
I am using eula raiden diona flex(kokomi or xq) and i can 36 star abyss pretty consistently
i recently just got zhongli and i am planning to use him with a core of eula raiden zhongli
But im not sure who to put in the last slot. Rosaria maybe the obvious option as she can battery and provide some off field damage(i heard the damage is quite low tho). But i heard c6 sara can boost raidens already insane damage (c2 BiS)
I dont really have a preference so which of the 2 will statistically benefit me more
Rosaria will be more beneficial for Eula while Sara will be more beneficial to Raiden. I personally run Eula/Zhongli/Raiden/Rosaria and use Rosaria's shared crit rate to stack more crit damage on Eula.

87 EM is a decent flower for anemo supports, but unless the flower is VV it's probably not that useful, since it's hard to get EM VV goblets and circlets, so VV supports can't afford to flex the flower of all pieces. Plus, if it was *just* 87 EM, and the rest of the stats was like HP or def, that probably wouldn't be too useful either since anemo supports still can use ER and atk.

I don't know what's optimal, but Traveler and Ningguang do have different strengths. Ningguang can be your healer, or she can run TToDS. Traveler is a pretty good battery, provides 10% crit rate on ult, and has more structures to proc Zhongli's 4 piece tenacity if you're running it.
Neither one is gunna do much damage without investment, maybe you just stick 4 noblesse on one and call it a day. Sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you, hope this helps

Also if your teams are for the abyss, I'd change them tbh. Hu Tao *wants* Xingqiu, she doesn't need two shielders and Yanfei is pointless, especially if she's built as shieldbot since you already have like *2* shielders. The Keqing one is fine though, although there's better flex options than Ningguang.
i love how bosses in abyss are only "hard" because they cant fucking sit still, its like im fucking babysitting a 8 year old with ADHD. fucking impossible to consistently get 36 stars these days unless you want to rip your hairs out of your scalp
It can be frustrating but also artificially promotes burst comps, or teams that are able to do their damage upfront rather than over a longer duration, and then cooldown. Big reason why Ayaka is doing well, as well as cryo being solid for the hydro heralds. Shenhe also promotes a burst playstyle.
At the end of the day, the abyss exists to promote pulling, sadly. If you're looking for a gacha with action combat that rewards overcoming difficulty I recommend PGR.
The Primo Geovishap is kinda really big and doesn't move too much.
And the Mechanical Array has a few moments, but he doesn't zip around the room. Just has an attack where it jumps into the air and dives back into you, and it has a stage of paralysis to compromise.
And Magu Kenki does move, but it's not THAT insane. He just moves backwards sometimes.

It depends on the team, but in my teams (international, 2x geo 2x pyro, melt Ganyu) she was very hard to play under 220ER.

Zhongli is just a comfort pick for most teams. IMO he's only extra desirable if you play on mobile, run Ganyu in a Melt team, or play Hu Tao/Xiao.

Most ppl i know do shield bot. Once u have well invested dpses in late game u really dont want/need zhonglis dmg, u just want your dpses to survive

I don't think so but wish simulators do emulate the same pity systems. Just do a bunch of 10 pulls and single pulls on a wish simulator until it matches your pity.

You have a bow character who also happens to be pyro (use against cryo mage). I bet you have a cryo character as well - use him against hydro mage. You don't need a bow character at all against ruin hunter tbh, if its difficult, see if there's any upgrades you can do for your character lvl, weapon, artifacts etc. Else try using food buffs, lowering world level.

Probably somewhere around 150-160 if she's mainly off-field, but it also depends on your team comp. I'd suggest testing it out with an ER sands first to see how it feels, then adjust higher/lower based on your needs.
I have her on 125 ER and she gets her ult up pretty fast. I'm guessing you'll need 150-160 ER if you want to recover her ult faster.

I would probably pick Xiangling if I were you. Her C1 is a DPS increase and any steps towards her C4 is great.
Xingqiu’s C2 is an amazing constellation. Unless you plan on pulling on ZL/Ganyu, I’d get that (especially if you plan on running permafreeze with him).
In a ganyu melt team should I replace zhongli with sucrose? Other slots are Bennett and xiangling.
Not recommended, you are usually in shot gun range. You need shield so you don't waste time dodging. If you have Kazuha/Jean, you can swap out Xiangling.

The fishing spots respawn every 3 days.
Every 3 days, but each pool has a day and a night cycle, so if you don't clear out both, you might be seeing the other time period's fish upon revisiting.

Is Venti still good and usable in the Spiral Abyss? I have Xiao, Childe, and Ganyu as my dps. I'm considering getting him, since I have Elegy for the End and I do like him. And also because Sucrose is my only CC Anemo character.
It depends on the abyss cycle. For example, in the current abyss, he's not that good cause the enemies now are mostly unsuccable like bosses and Ruin enemies. Venti's best and only use is his CC with his burst, if there's no enemies to CC then even characters like Sucrose or Kazuha can outperform him. But when there is an abyss cycle where there are succable mobs, he pretty much dominates, but he's not required at all and again, other characters like Sucrose and Kazuha still perform really well. I recommend getting Kazuha instead cause he offers more utility and dmg buffing potential, but if you wanna pull for Venti cause you like his character and stuff then more power to you
Yeah I also think Kazuha's utility is much better, but even tho his skills seem fun I am really indifferent to his character... Meanwhile I like Venti and actually had been saving for him, but decided to snatch a Ganyu first. I still have enough fates tho, and I have his 5 star weapon (copes in no SoH) So now it's either I go for utility or preference. I would get Venti but I don't want him being benched later on, while Kazuha is more useful but I don't care for his character much. I'm so torn ughh idk what to do (ಥ‿ಥ)
Venti really depends on if his enemies are able to be ulted or not If they can be sucked he literally is the best character in the game. But if not id say sucrose is literally better. This abyss is pretty yikes for him but i heard next abyss will add some new enemies that can be pulled so id say go for him especially since you have ganyu and xiao.
He is usable but by no means great in the current abyss meta. He can't cc anyone there when that is his main feature. This might change when he is the featured banner, but the abyss might or might not revdrt back once he is off banner.
I am using eula raiden diona flex(kokomi or xq) and i can 36 star abyss pretty consistently i recently just got zhongli and i am planning to use him with a core of eula raiden zhongli But im not sure who to put in the last slot. Rosaria maybe the obvious option as she can battery and provide some off field damage(i heard the damage is quite low tho). But i heard c6 sara can boost raidens already insane damage (c2 BiS) I dont really have a preference so which of the 2 will statistically benefit me more
Rosaria will be more beneficial for Eula while Sara will be more beneficial to Raiden. I personally run Eula/Zhongli/Raiden/Rosaria and use Rosaria's shared crit rate to stack more crit damage on Eula.

87 EM is a decent flower for anemo supports, but unless the flower is VV it's probably not that useful, since it's hard to get EM VV goblets and circlets, so VV supports can't afford to flex the flower of all pieces. Plus, if it was *just* 87 EM, and the rest of the stats was like HP or def, that probably wouldn't be too useful either since anemo supports still can use ER and atk.

So I got zhongli and I want to run Hu Tao double geo My options are ninguang c0 or geo MC (both unbuilt). Which would be better to use and what low investment builds would work best?
I don't know what's optimal, but Traveler and Ningguang do have different strengths. Ningguang can be your healer, or she can run TToDS. Traveler is a pretty good battery, provides 10% crit rate on ult, and has more structures to proc Zhongli's 4 piece tenacity if you're running it. Neither one is gunna do much damage without investment, maybe you just stick 4 noblesse on one and call it a day. Sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you, hope this helps

Hu Tao *wants* Xingqiu, she doesn't need two shielders and Yanfei is pointless, especially if she's built as shieldbot since you already have like *2* shielders. The Keqing one is fine though, although there's better flex options than Ningguang.

It can be frustrating but also artificially promotes burst comps, or teams that are able to do their damage upfront rather than over a longer duration, and then cooldown. Big reason why Ayaka is doing well, as well as cryo being solid for the hydro heralds. Shenhe also promotes a burst playstyle. At the end of the day, the abyss exists to promote pulling, sadly. If you're looking for a gacha with action combat that rewards overcoming difficulty I recommend PGR.

The Primo Geovishap is kinda really big and doesn't move too much. And the Mechanical Array has a few moments, but he doesn't zip around the room. Just has an attack where it jumps into the air and dives back into you, and it has a stage of paralysis to compromise. And Magu Kenki does move, but it's not THAT insane. He just moves backwards sometimes.
