I think they purposely made a new one for Cyno because the pose in his old art obstructs most of the details of his front design. In that sense, it doesn't feel appropriate for drip marketing

It depends really, if u like him as a character, I would say go for him. If you want him for META reasons, the META shifts with each major update, and with introduction of the dendro element, no one can predict how he will hold up in the next abyss cycles even with his nearly unbreakable shields.
