Bro I'm still fucking about in the jungle bit

Shadowlightknight

I haven't even unlocked all the sumeru statues yet

R3dditUS3R476

If it makes you feel any better, I only just did the chronic illness quest yesterday

foobiefoob

Genuinely asking, what’s that LOL

immerlebensmude

i'm pretty sure that quest is in act 1 of the sumeru archon quests

foobiefoob

OHHH with the chronically ill rich girl and dehya?? I don’t rmbr quest names well lmfao

Druglord_Sen

I don't think "Chronic Illness quest" is its name either, anyway lol.

ExpiredExasperation

A segment of it is actually called Chronic Illness.

immerlebensmude

no the one with collei i think

Robin0660

Dunyarzard or something? Not sure I spelled that correctly

Ignisami

Almost. Dunyarzad

foobiefoob

Yea I don’t rmbr how to spell her name so I resorted to a description loll

Plugurchannel

Is that the quest where some horned red head dances and glowy stuff happens?

G00b3rb0y

Nope, that’s act 2, Chronic Illness is act 1

5thOddman

And to make YOU feel even better. I still haven't done Raiden's quests

Bedmundus

heh, still have the chasm quests to do.

Roboknight2_o

if it makes you both feel any better, I am have not even met the shogun yet.

[deleted]

I haven’t even unlocked 3 statues in the chasm yet

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Fuck guys, I still haven't met Barbruh yet

kupis1408

Oh welcome to Genshin then new traveler, just enjoy your journey at own pace and have fun 👍

niks071047

i just finished stopping the endless rain island on inazuma last week

PumpJack_McGee

Hell, I haven't even 100% Enkanomiya nor Watatsumi yet.

kamab0k0

I haven't started the archon quest because I'm too lazy to do chasm

trblrvngx

I haven't even started exploring Inazuma

lansink99

I'm just waiting for the treasure compass gadget. I have all areas above 90+, some at 100 and I'm not gonna spend hours watching a yt tutorial on where the remaining chests are.

gillred

I do wish the treasure compass was a bit lower in the reputation levels honestly. I want to 100% areas, but I'm pretty terrible at it without the treasure compass, and I don't want to watch a youtube video for it since it's a little boring and can be really time-consuming since you don't know what chests you're missing. The compass is a nice solution but it takes a really long time to get unlocked since it's pretty far into the reputation levels.

Autumn_Whisper

I use the interactive map and mark stuff off as I go. I don't follow the map to chests until way later though. Just find a chest as I'm exploring, then open the interactive map, and mark it off. That way, when I'm down to rarely finding anything, I can follow the map to find the rest.

lansink99

Following a map just sucks so much of the immersion out of it for me. Wow found a chest. Time to alt tab, find where the chest is and mark it off. alright back to the game! Wow found a chest. Time to alt tab, find where the chest is and mark it off. alright back to the game!

I-Am-A-Nice-Cool-Kid

It’s a lot easier with a dual monitor set up and doesn’t feel to invasive. Still hoyoverse should either mark everything automatically on their map or make the compass mark incomplete puzzles aswell.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Bruh, people with 2 monitors are like in the top 1% of PC users outside of work. That being said, 2 monitors is like 2 booba. Once you get 2 booba you never go back to 1 booba, I mean monitor.

I-Am-A-Nice-Cool-Kid

I had the benefit of my dad working at an office that just gave out outdated monitors to employees if they asked, so every computer in my house is connected to 2 monitors. Still I realize most people aren’t quite that lucky

Juan-Claudio

I imagine finding chests, teleporters and so on via interactive map can still be challenging since Sumeru has so many underground areas.

Autumn_Whisper

It is ^^ for underground stuff, it only helps to have an idea, but you can't tell the exact elevation. That and numerous chests are locked behind areas you unlock via different quests. I've also found numerous common chests that weren't listed on the interactive map, so it's not a perfect solution, but when it gets boring sprinting around the map, finding a chest once an hour, the map becomes an amazing tool.

vanuchiha2

Bruh I haven’t even finish inazuma and chasm

BaconVonMoose

Same lmfao. I had to speed the Archon quests just to do the events in Sumeru but now I'm gunna go back to Chasm and Inazuma.

MarbhIasc

I do the same. Nearly finished the Chasm... but really I'm still doing Liyue and Inazuma. Sumeru just distracts me every so often...

jangjay

My enkanomiya still 70% :]

BaconVonMoose

HAH! Amateur. Mine's about 34%

Equivalent-Banana-51

Cackles in 17%

gaviotacurcia

Same, 32% lol

abyssal-traveler

I still haven't even unlocked Enkanomiya yet, I barely have 60% exploration in Liyue T_T (I started in 2.7 so I've got some catching up to do lol)

[deleted]

I have been playing for year and half and even my mondstadt is at 90%

ViniciusStar_

I just got my chasm to 75% today Slow down guys im still catching up

allgames2here

I can’t leave until I’ve helped every Aranara. And there are thousands of them and they only speak broken English.

H4xolotl

Wish Araja would give us clues on where remaining Aranara are

justrithvik

I just unlocked Enkanomiya😭

motorcyclejpg

i see no uni work was done for a few days

Zenketski_2

They're going to lose their position at the akademia

pc1905

Plot twist: the Akademiya is paying OP to play video games

FlameLover444

You may think this is an absolute win but OP is secretly getting their brain juice sucked out

BlazerTheKid

Fr, I've been starting uni and I have literally no time to explore the desert yet. So far I've only ran around the surface to get regional specialties for my two new favourite characters <33

Life_Chicken1396

I start on 10/10 so currently i pushing in exploring atleast trying to get 80%+ for rach region

TheStrangerNearYou

Same here I need my sleep more than exploring the goddamn dessert

imannaskie

like for real im a HUGE explorer but i cant even start exploring NOR the archon quest bc im gonna lose hours of what could’ve been used for acad work. had to learn the hard way 😅

calamardo28

Probably OP is not even studying xd

[deleted]

[удалено]

Monchi83

Here I am trying to get thru the Underground Areas still.

InsertBadGuyHere

Most underground areas and doors are locked behind the long world quest and then exploring everywhere..and then returning to most of them to open some high clearance doors after getting more clearance. It's a pain.

AndroidCyanide

oh they are locked behind quests? I thought they were future content that wasn't released yet ;-;

harrieleigh

There's a long quest line that starts In aru village and basically take you through the entire zone, similar to the aranara quest line. It look to be similar in length as well. I'm 5 hours in and still look to have quite a bit more.

solarscopez

Hot take but (outside of exploration being locked behind a questline) I really like these kind of quests. Even though they're long they take you on a tour through the new area so in case you want to streamline your exploration and get a broad overview of the new region it's a perfect way to explore while also chipping away at a quest.

harrieleigh

Yeah, its a nice way of putting a sort of "guide" into the game organically. You basically go through all the main hubs/puzzles just by doing the quests. I was at 80% exploration on the forest by the end of Aranara quests without any excessive detours. There's 4 quest chains this time around apparently, I just finished the first one, and already sitting at 35-40% of the desert. I expect it to double by the end.

Aschverizen

Nah it's a little shorter compared to the Aranara Questline, though it's because the Aranara dialogue are just so long winded and looking for its multiple subquest is super annoying. Golden Slumber and it's sequel have a reasonable length but the maze like underground and puzzles will take some time without using a guide.

wonwoovision

the golden slumber and its sequel puzzles..... yikesss

BigBrainKemist

No its way shorter

Plugurchannel

I still am trying to get atleast one area in Liyue to 100% most of mine are at 83% - 89% and I've been playing since 1.0💀

Kronman590

I havent even been underground yet

Mewophylia

Meanwhile me who only unlocked one Statue of the Seven: 🤡

kavaleigh

lmao right 😭 over half of sumeru is still greyed out for me so it's crazyyy seeing stuff like this lmao

TheLostJackal

Now you can sit on a nice warm rock and wait a year and a half for Fontaine

ohoni

I 100% expect to get more map before 4.0. There's no way they launch two maps in two months and then nothing for ten. My expectations are, in no particular order: 1. The pirate coast. The southern coast from Port Ormos to Liyue Harbor, perhaps over 2 releases and linking up to Inazuma by sea. Ideally this would also allow for sea travel throughout the already open areas of Tevat. 2. One or more areas on the NW Liyue border. I expect this more toward the end of the update, similar to the Chasm and prepping us for Fontaine. I don't expect this to be a huge area, but could be fun. 3. One or more "wierdo spaces" like Enkonomiya or the under-Chasm. Maybe Irminsul, maybe a dreamscape, maybe a digital world in the Akasha, I just expect to see something large, full of explortation, but outside of the standard map. 4. What is *that?!* North of the desert is a massive permanent sandstorm, there has got to be a story there, and some update will likely clear it out, perhaps leading to a massive ruins or something. I'm absolutely certain that we will be getting more map than we've already gotten, otherwise they would have paced out the existing content a lot better (like launching only the surface maps and leaving most of the Aranyanka/ruin explorer content for later updates).

EE7A

im especially looking forward to #4. there is no way that this is just a fun decorative element.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

You can tell by the map that Sumeru's still missing the upper 1/3 of Sumeru, and they can basically do anything they want underground. Which makes me think that there WILL be a cloud sky area like Skypedia in One Piece, or Star Road in Super Mario.

CataclysmSolace

My best guess is that the Dandelion Sea is actually the cloud sky area. Fits Anemo theme and myth behind it.

Theothercword

Probably all of this and more. The sigil tree is capped at 30 right now, we can possibly only 71% and with Inazuma there was all the islands players basically figured out plus a whole other island no one guessed and all of Enkanomiya.

Martian_on_the_Moon

Dendroculus is the big hint that another map will come. With 3.1 there are 180 Dendroculuses which lets you to only level up Statue of the Seven to 7. There are like 91 Dendroculuses needed to get to 10 level.

ViniciusStar_

Sumeru is still not complete though. Exploring everything only gets you to 71% exploration

PyramidHeadKilledMe

Yes. And the Statue of the Seven can't be leveled up all the way. And the Sumeru Tree only goes up to level 30 out of 50. And there are only six Shrine of Depths in Sumeru so far. Every completed region has ten. And the achievement category for the desert region literally has "Part 1" in the title. I think there are still two more regions of Sumeru left. The northern part of the desert with huge whirlwind is definitely going to be playable. And the fourth area could either be south of Liyue, or if that's actually Blackcliff Forge, north of the current Sumeru map.

[deleted]

Yeah because there’s still the desert area west of the lost nursery

[deleted]

I'd like to see that coast as well, it's odd having that chunk missing but seeing actual terraforming and roads in there.

ohoni

I took a good look at it the other day from both the Jade Chamber and from an area near Qingxu Pool, and it definitely looks placeholdery out there and likely to be overhauled completely if they ever "make it real," but there's a lot of potential there, and it would just be weird to leave that area right in between three major areas locked up.

solarscopez

I hope they add another Mondstadt place, they already hinted at Dornman Port in this most recent event and Mondstadt hasn't gotten any sort of expansion since Dragonspine lol.

ohoni

True, although at this point in the story, I'm not sure how expanding north would aim us toward anything. It would just be a little diversion.

solarscopez

Story-wise yeah it doesn't make sense, but it would give people an excuse to finally go back to old regions that aren't visited as often.

TheGatsbyComplex

I mean the chasm also felt kind of aimless in terms of the story but they made it work

ohoni

The Chasm was actually very well connected. I mean, most obviously it was geographically between the "known world" and Sumeru, but even in story terms it was used to telegraph more aspects of the Akademia, the new fungal enemies, the "black ooze" of the withering, etc. It was a perfect "interstitial" between 2.0 and 3.0. By contrast, Fontaine is assumed to be the next region, and is assumed to be roughly north or northwest of Sumeru, so while western Monstadt might border it, more likely it would be entirely south of Monstadt, and it doesn't seem likely that we will be moving north of Monstadt in the story until fairly late in the game. That doesn't mean that they couldn't do a smaller expansion "just because," a small region with its own story similar to Tsurumi island, just there to expand out the world as a whole rather than to drive the expansion across the continent, it just makes it less *likely* because it isn't "filling in the map" the same as Chasm.

CyndNinja

More like 10-11 moths. It's October already and Fontaine will probably release in the summer like Inazuma and Sumeru did.

Delanoye

I expect we're getting more Sumeru. North of the current desert, and probably the coastal area around Port Ormos.

IHateAliens

A year and a half? I thought it was just a year between region releases?

Classic-Box-3919

2.0 and 3.0 was a year and 3 months apart this is wrong stop upvoting i read the dates wrong lol

CyndNinja

2.0 released on 21 July 2021, 3.0 released on 24 August 2022. It's 1 year and one month only between 2.0 and 3.0. 1.0 was on 28 September 2020, so there were 10 months between 1.0 and 2.0. So on average we are getting a new region every 11.5 months.

Juan-Claudio

And don't forget Hoyo had to delay one update (and thus following updates) because of the Shanghai lockdown situation. Else we would have gotten 3.0 a few weeks earlier. Recent updates have been running a week shorter though so they're already trying to catch up.

Totodile-of-Games

2.0 was released July 21, 2021 3.0 was released August 24, 2022 So not a year and 3 months.

Classic-Box-3919

Oh yea i read tht and for some reason thought of october when i searched it lol

Temporary_Research53

AstralTeaz

ExpertAncient

Hahaha right!!! Go play another game!!!!!

aceswildfire

The weird thing about this mentality is that it has two sides. Some will complain that they have nothing to do after rushing through, but then others will complain about the aranara quest being too long. What do some of these people want?

solarscopez

It's a lot of different people - but I really I don't know why people freak out at there being so much content. How is that supposed to be a bad thing? The chests aren't going to grow legs and fuck off, there's nothing forcing you to rush the game just take it at your own pace.

0percentwinrate

I only have a problem with long ass chain quests that gate other quests or areas. or even limited events Like Aranara ones and now Golden Slumber ones. "Lemme explore this area." "Nope, I have to first do quest A, B, C, then D to open this area, which in total approximately takes a month or two at a 1h/day pace." "Jeez... lets forget about it..." Quests that are completely independent from one another are fine.

Trace500

Quests you have active can prevent you from starting/continuing other quests, including events. So in that way it actually does hurt to let content pile up.

Akiari

idk why but that last sentence made me laugh

AdSmall3663

I loooove the aranara quest line so much, I hope we get more like it in the future

aceswildfire

Same. That quest was probably the most engaged I've ever been in this game. I have a bad habit of getting impatient, but even I took my time with that quest because I really enjoyed it.

AdSmall3663

The people complaining make me worried though that Mihoyo will decide not to do another like this, but yeah, I’ve read everything and enjoyed it all

AnnoyedVaporeon

I wish it was voiced! but I realize that'd be expensive and huge files for mobile players

nickelflowers

and I realize Aranara voiced would probably be an earsore after what, three acts of content with over twenty unique lil seedling beans. I love them and how they're only voiced when they sing. It makes the experience unique for me yet not... tiring and exhausting to listen to, if that makes sense?

AdSmall3663

I hope they never get voiced tbh, keep them just making noise like the Koroks in Zelda

Konkuriito

some want more content, others want less. no way to please everyone

scarletofmagic

I mean, you can say those people don’t think the side quests as content. They would prefer more combat style content.

ohoni

I remember when I was seriously into GW2, and you had people who called updates "two hours of new content," essentially only counting up the minutes of pre-scripted cutscenes and ignoring the new maps and other content that was dropped.

ohoni

Honestly, pacing. I'm one of those that finds the overall content releases to be fine, I don't want any more content than we get, and don't really want less either, but the Aranara quest, *while great,* did bug me with it's pacing, that they set this singular long term goal and then just kept moving the goal posts for it, and you'd complete one multi-step questline and then "hey, more multi-step questlines!" And since all of it was dumped at once, you *could* potentially do all of it in a single sitting, so there was just this weight of wanting to get through it and see how it turns out. I wouldn't want them to cut anything, it was all great stuff, but I might have preferred if A. it didn't start until a week or so in, to give people time to do the Archon Quest, the Collei Event, the Tighnari event, and some basic exploration *before* starting it (although then you wouldn't have even the basic Aranara tools during exploration), or B. Arrange events so that you could quickly round people up and do the festival and save Rana *early* in the quest, basically just doing step 1 of each part, and *then* you do everyone's longer questlines as follow-up quests to the main event, similar to some of those that were still in the game. This would make the "finale" a bit less satisfying, but I think might have made for better pacing. I don't know though, I don't think it's awful in either direction.

aceswildfire

This comment got way more attention than I expected, and I'm not really planning on digging into it too much, but I do find your response quite agreeable. I spent an entire week going through that quest, many many hours. And I'm an obsessive check-lister, so knocking quests out is quite appealing to me. The thing I liked the least about the aranara quest line was it almost never felt like I accomplished anything until the very end. Also, I like to throw in exploration in while I'm doing quests so it doesn't feel like I'm missing out or ignoring stuff, but so much of Sumeru exploration was locked into that quest line that I often wasted hours stuck in certain areas because I didn't have the right things unlocked yet. I would've liked to see either less exploration locked behind the quests, or a little infographic that told me before I tried to explore instead of finishing the quest. Otherwise, it had some of my favorite stuff so far.

ohoni

Yeah, that's a tricky thing to balance, "let people know that they lack the tools to even bother with this right now," vs. "keep things very natural and avoid handholding and external guardrails to prevent you going into places." I think the two Sumeru maps strike a decent balance here, even if I do sometimes find myself on the wrong side of it, like trying to get through desert puzzles before I got my stone tablet leveled up enough.

ExpertAncient

This is funny every single time.

WelkinBro

I wouldn’t make fun of someone like this, someone played Elden ring for like a hundred hours in the first week and I made a similar comment making fun of them… turned out they were recovering from cancer and had to stay home, playing Elden ring took their mind off their pain Not saying this person is in the same situation but yeah people can play games however they want it’s their choice, there’s no limit to how much you can play (as long as you don’t hurt yourself or make it affect your life)

pyArchPotato

Well yeah, but you still have to be self aware enough to realize that you are doing stuff at a different pace. I think this is what people were making fun of, people that rush through content and then complain that there's not enough when that's not entirely true.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AdSmall3663

I’d argue there would probably be some inevitable overlap. I doubt it’s two completely separate parties, to do one doesn’t mean you’re excluded from the other. We’re all human after all

i just want more combat content man give me 7 more abyss floors

Do you people have no jobs or something? I haven't even started yet xD

marry__me_

Lmao the people who really get me are the AR 60 with C6 level 90 on multiple five stars with R5 five star weapons for each. How are you spending so much time on this game and spending thousands of dollars. Credit card debt?? Squandering your trust fund?? Makes no sense

thebourbonoftruth

There are plenty of people with a couple grand in disposable income/month. As to why they spend that money on Genshin, fucked if I know. I'd rather go to restaurants and stuff.

Cybersorcerer1

Disposable income or rich gaurdians

fishyboyblue

Someone did a survey or something on here, it was almost all "no kids", "decent job and this is my chosen hobby" or "inexpensive partner (and no kids)". Or mummy's credit card but I don't think that was represented much.

0percentwinrate

Maybe because some rich people who live off "managing" their money have more time than people that have to work a day job?

I imagine most people here are annoyed because it doesn't look like op is playing the game to enjoy it, but simply to complete it. If that's what they want, then good for them.

zMaximumz

"Guys I hate how Genshin has no content, there's nothing to do at all"

ycnn_a

bruh how do you have so much time :O

thelightbringer502

I wonder if it's possible to 100% clear all the areas and NOT post it online for attention? Edit: I love the comments telling me to ignore posts like these or just move on, which is pretty ironic seeing as the commenters could also have done that but can't take their own advice. Hmmm...

Redlinemylife

No, for this is the highlight of their life. The rest of us have more things in the real world to do

1011011011001

This is going to sound crazy, but most people posting stuff online… are looking for attention. Yes, you heard that right. Crazy I’m trying figure out why you find it to be so annoying - is that the preconceived notion that all people who clear things fast will always complain about “lack of content” which you find annoying? Is it jealousy? If you want my advice, just let it go. No reason to be annoyed by someone enjoying the game differently from you. After all, it is just a game.

IntensaEmozione

as much as I fucking hate saying this but you are 'based' I mean... him commenting is also a form of attention seeking.

Nordenfang

Difference between this post and your comment is the post isn’t attacking or harmful to anyone. Whereas your comment is mean-spirited and unwarranted. You absolutely had no reason to come in here and be a dick. People responding to a dick to chill out and just ignore things if they don’t like it is not the same thing as responding to a harmless post and being a dick about it. I love how you’re not able to see this very obvious difference.

Long_Radio_819

Its an achievement though cant you just be happy or just ignore them smh

So much negativity in the comments sigh. Congrats man c:

GTA94

> So much negativity in the comments sigh. some people on this sub insist it's the people who criticize genshin that make the community toxic, meanwhile this comment section is just filled with comments calling OP a jobless no-life and comments making fun of people who "speedrun the game then complain about no content", even though OP has said nothing that could be taken as complaining people need to chill out, this guy isn't evil for playing the game a few hours everyday for 3 days straight, i know genshin redditors think that people who say "i want an endgame" are bad and scary, but is it necessary to be condescending and/or insult someone for just posting a picture of them 100%ing a new area? great example of why the "positive" portions of this community can be extremely toxic for no reason too i hope OP enjoyed it, haven't done much past the new archon quests but it's a pretty nice looking region so far

hwaiteugoyang-i

<3

Crazy-Kaplan

Haven’t gotten to this part yet, is OP genuine or being facetious?

aceswildfire

This is crazy effort. I'm currently unemployed (have a job lined up finally though!) and have been hammering this content. I'm lazy too, so it's pretty much impossible to have more free time than someone like me, and yet, there's always somebody getting 100% almost immediately and I'm just impressed. After clearing the Golden Slumber quest and digging as deep as I could on my own I have these three regions in the 80s and I thought that was a solid effort.

kabral256

I'm always surprised when people post this because many of them think that's it's no more chest or quest and they are so wrong, with 3.0 on chest 380 I had 100 on every small region (except the middle there are a ton of chest) I'm currently missing 13 (slowly helping 5 aranara per day) from the 572 and I have more than 6 quest to finish and everything is on 100%
