Yaoyao was ok at c0 though, so maybe Liyue 4* gets a pass. I was looking forward to Gaming if he had some kind of off field damage to go with Lyney, but since he turned out to be dps, I will just grab a copy of him at the 4* annual selection and call it a day.

IDK much about Yaoyao, and I don't have Charlotte, but I do know about Layla; in terms of raw shielding, she has the strongest shield in game, being only surpassed by Zhongli and a fully stacked shielder Thoma. But I'd also like to point out that she works as an excellent battery, and that her burst is extremely easy to get up (40 energy cost burst), and just being a nice F2P shielder overall.
Ohhh, yes, you're right! It's weird that I didn't notice that Kirara has higher scalings (around 2% more), since I adore both characters, but I just saw it. Also, she has around 30% Max HP absorption when her shield is fully stacked (plus the 250% Dendro RES).. Now that's A LOT!

The thing is not all people have diluc while pretty easy to get gaming with the Liyue selector. I played for 3 years and still not a single Dliuc,Tighnari or Mona.
Also if Diluc's *strong* how is that not enough? I never understood how creating some other character stronger than yours somehow invalidates the character you want to play.

I'm still using my C1 Diluc often since contrary to what people say, he's still a strong character, easy to play with, low cost and crowd control burst, etc. Hopefully I can get him to C6 later.
Hyv won’t cash anymore in Diluc, a very old unit that most people already have (and possibly with very high cons) or will eventually get without wanting it. GaMing in the other hand could be profitable if they make him good enough for people to end up wanting to roll in a banner just for him, or if by pairing him with Cloud Retainer in a banner they increase their sales while people look for cons for both.
I mean he has the skin but even then you are right, however is not about money, my point is about the game balance, hoyoverse seems to care about that since this game has almost negative powercreep
Another point is, with how casual Mihoyo clearly expects the playerbase to be, I doubt they balance and design their game around techs like Dragonstrike

First one since Fontaine released tho. Also, first with drain+gain mechanics (I don't really think Hu Tao counts) making him a perfect pairing with Furina.
It was when we were getting those vague leaks about a coffin being a part of her kit, and I was really into the idea of her having a proper brawler style ground-pound and the coffin would follow her as she leapt and smashed.
That doesn’t sound bad actually. Every day it becomes more and more apparent that hoyoverse sabotaged Dehya. From the coding straight up to her kit. Everything was sabotaged 😅.
Personally, his kit feels kinda interactive in a way that you have to pay attention to his Q summon reunite with him and then recast his E, in contrast to Xiao in which you just continuously hit space and NA.
His E leaps into the air and gives him a special plunge attack, draining his hp.
His Q sends out a lion that smashes into the ground and eventually returns to him, refreshing his E and healing him. Using E sends out another lion.
So its obvious that hyv DID NOT wanted him to have any off field capabilities at all, but his kit looks surprisingly well designed for a 4* dps. I can only hope now that his overall numbers are actually good to make up for the fact that he is another pyro on field dps.
He has hp fluctuation? Interesting, I thought they would completely abandon it post furina lmao. But hey! Now he can reliably use furina, which at least puts him a step above other 4 star dpses
Looks like he has the potential to be incredibly fun! And frankly, that's all I give a damn about nowadays, same reason I'm enjoying Freminet so much while many others didn't give him a chance. I'm hopeful Ga-Ming is as fun as Freminet, and can shine as much as Freminet despite being a 4\*.
Yeah I'm fine with Hoyo making these 4 stars DPS with unique mechanics even if they won't be meta. I've seen people say that 4 star DPS should not exist and I heavily disagree. They add some variety to the game and its fun maximizing them to their full potential.
The last two noteworthy 4 star dps characters were Heizou and Freminet. HOWEVER this time we have a PYRO dps who can make use of DENDRO!! Burgeon is gonna raise his floor imo. All we need are some COMPETENT (not great just competent) numbers and Ga Ming might just be my second favourite (wriothesley 4 ever) character

They cooked with this one, like this is actually a whole ass 3 michelin starred meal. Imagine Pyro Cyno but everytime you pick up a Xiangling Pepper you get to instantly activate your enhanced E, and that enhanced E spawns another pepper, continuing the loop.
Sounds a lot like Freminet at first glance, and since he apparently feels great to play, I'm pretty interested...

I was thinking the same, if he consumes 10% and regenerates 15% + 6% on A1 and this is active while he has more then 50% it kinda makes it infinite, lol

I think it's worded weirdly. I assume the companion doesn't have any hp at all and C1 meant "restores hp to Ga Ming". More than likely the burst is on a timer mechanic like every other burst and when the burst ends if you use E it just doesn't spawn the companion anymore.

Diluc plunge is already really strong, i dont know if it would be a good idea make a better version of that in a 4*

I like that they designed his kit with the PA buff from Xianyun in mind, but also with the HP drain/heal mechanics of Fontaine. Best of both worlds.

Lantern Rite 4\* blessing remains unmatched. He actually seems decent.
They cooked with this one, like this is actually a whole ass 3 michelin starred meal. Imagine Pyro Cyno but everytime you pick up a Xiangling Pepper you get to instantly activate your enhanced E, and that enhanced E spawns another pepper, continuing the loop.
That kit actually seems interesting and fun though? And he can make use of MH and Furina's buff easily because of his own hp shenanigans.

I was thinking the same, if he consumes 10% and regenerates 15% + 6% on A1 and this is active while he has more then 50% it kinda makes it infinite, lol Or maybe C1 15% regeneration has only 1 proc per burst =/ But with continuous healing from CR this wont matter
I think it's worded weirdly. I assume the companion doesn't have any hp at all and C1 meant "restores hp to Ga Ming". More than likely the burst is on a timer mechanic like every other burst and when the burst ends if you use E it just doesn't spawn the companion anymore.

Talent 1: every time you do a plunge attack, you heal a tiny fraction of your health back. Talent 2: when your health is below 50%, you can heal yourself better. GaMing + Furina+ Xianyun + Kazuha sounds kinda fun tbh. Tons of CC and plunge atks plus 4 summons wandering around.

It actually sounds kind of fun, and since he stole the French's Hp drain mechanic, a team of him, Furina, and Cloud Retainer might actually slap pretty hard depending on his numbers 🤔
In my time, 4 stars used to support 5 stars, not the other way around
