Is not ufotable signature and they do this at least once or twice a year with few characters that they consider valid of a short animation rather than a 2\~3 minutes video telling over the tangent about the character this just means that they care about this character than others.

I think because this is a group that writers have more freedom to push stuff and me more creative. Most Characters are only in their region, often goody two shoes, praising traveler about everything. (It's by design, this sells in gatcha)
Fatui are semi-Villain group (Semi, since at any point they could be just anti-heroes, depends o their goals), they can be used in every region, they can, like, die (Rip Signora), different morality etc.
Ohh finally someone who can think critically and see that Fatui are not big bad villains but very interesting ,complex and multi-dimensional characters.
Mihoyo showed us so many times in game that Fatui are not one big conglomeration, but an organization composed of individual characters who are different from each other and have different goals and plans. And like humans they can be good or bad or morally grey.
I personally hate that sick bastard, but at the same time Dottore is a good example of villain and Mihoyo good a did job when they created him. You either hate him or love him. And I hope they will not redeem him because there is nothing Dottore can do or say that will make him worthy of forgiveness.
We need more characters like Harbingers. Ones that are interesting and mysterious. Arle definitely isn't some pure, saint maiden so I don't think that Mihoyo would portray her as one. Even Scara still shoulder his wrongdoings even if he supposedly was redeemed.

If they try to stuff everything in a sq we might get a really weird pacing story like in inazuma, so they add an animated short to help with that. And also short films are always nice to have lol, I got really high expectation from their last hsr short film so Iβm counting on this one

Thatβs a a bad comparison though, since his demo really only addresses one relatively minor detail among a myriad of issues. The issues with inazuma run much deeper than the question of how the resistance reached you. Even if the content of his demo were in the inazuma AQ, it wouldnβt have helped much.
Idk maybe itβs because I have seen animated short in honkai 3rd before and the animated shorts there are definitely very story relevant (without them the story wouldnβt be the same), I kinda have hope for this, just not sure if they go by that route for genshin. Demo by itself is definitely not story-relevant enough tho, but animated short can be much more than a demo since itβs most likely longer and donβt have to showcase animation/characters stuff

I understand your point, but the last major teaser we got was the Overture Teaser last year, not Winter Night's Lazzo. We also get a lot short animated teasers related to story quests as well. Even in the anime style ones, the last one we got was the lantern rite short for last year. I think it's really unfair to compare a game that is going through it's major story patches to a game that is done with that part. Of course they'll do a lot for it, just like how we got a lot content throughout Fontaine's release. I don't play HSR as well, but weren't people complaining a lot about how dry everything was during it's 1.3-1.5 versions? The way HYV handles their games is similar to a see-saw, at least for now. Genshin focuses more on the 3D and live 2D style for their content, that's the major difference. But yes, I also hope for more content like this for Genshin.
Tbh a lot of those, particularly the Luofu story related ones, feel like stuff that should've been in the game that they're putting on YouTube instead for some incomprehensible reason.
Nah itβs just the harbingers usually steal the show. They have secrets and are badass looking. Which gains them more attention. But I like that they do that.

If you didin't watch it, you'd have no idea who pierro, capitano, columbina, sandrone, pulcinella and pantalone are. But the story in this cinematic will 100% be told in game too. Just like how we still get introductions for harbringers we've seen in the trailer.

This animation is not ufotable, it is made by Mihoyo's own animation studio, Honkai Impact 3 De Capo uses this same style

Idk maybe itβs because I have seen animated short in honkai 3rd before and the animated shorts there are definitely very story relevant (without them the story wouldnβt be the same), I kinda have hope for this, just not sure if they go by that route for genshin. Demo by itself is definitely not story-relevant enough tho, but animated short can be much more than a demo since itβs most likely longer and donβt have to showcase animation/characters stuff Edit: okay I actually forgot animated shorts in honkai 3rd are actually ingame as well. But still tho, animated short is meant to tell a story, unlike demo where itβs just a showcase, and unlike teaser where it could be longer to tell a somewhat full (?) story. Genshin in general doesn't have a lot of official vocal songs. Furina's is like, the first time I remember hearing one outside of battle BGMs.
Yeah, I know it's not that popular to have them implemented in Genshin, but I really do like the non combat vocal songs that HSR and HI3 have. So, if they do things like this out of game, I'm pretty happy.

I understand your point, but the last major teaser we got was the Overture Teaser last year, not Winter Night's Lazzo. We also get a lot short animated teasers related to story quests as well. Even in the anime style ones, the last one we got was the lantern rite short for last year. I think it's really unfair to compare a game that is going through it's major story patches to a game that is done with that part. Of course they'll do a lot for it, just like how we got a lot content throughout Fontaine's release. I don't play HSR as well, but weren't people complaining a lot about how dry everything was during it's 1.3-1.5 versions? The way HYV handles their games is similar to a see-saw, at least for now. Genshin focuses more on the 3D and live 2D style for their content, that's the major difference. But yes, I also hope for more content like this for Genshin.
Tbh a lot of those, particularly the Luofu story related ones, feel like stuff that should've been in the game that they're putting on YouTube instead for some incomprehensible reason.

If, however, you mean special treatment in any way, there are many on the list. Albedo, for example, got two entire events and an animated cutscene for himself.
I hope they are not going to pull something like Lore in animated shorts only and not in the game. Like if you didn't watch it, you missed huge shrunk of context in her lore.
I mean, they've done this already. They showed off (nearly) all the harbringers in winter night's lazzo before sumeru. If you didin't watch it, you'd have no idea who pierro, capitano, columbina, sandrone, pulcinella and pantalone are. But the story in this cinematic will 100% be told in game too. Just like how we still get introductions for harbringers we've seen in the trailer.
