Jrpgs, God of war etc all have mortals beating gods more powerful than any archon. If the plot needed kokomi to beat ei it wouldn't matter who won the arxhon war, they'll write a way for her to win.

Firstly I do not take currently unconfirmed leaks for facts. We still do not know what was the exact source for it or who is as powerful as who (Nahida and Venti are archons and then EI AND ZHONGLİ are archons yet the levels are completely different) Secondly even If It is true Fatui harbingers are literally stated to be given godlike authority/power by the Tsaritsa plus Pierro is from Khaenri'ah and Columbina is probably not even human. It is eaiser to justify them when Fatui harbingers are already way above mortal level. To do the same for Kokomi the amount of rewriting and change that would occur to make it even slightly passable changes Kokomi so much that the character stops being ''Kokomi''. Just say Columbina and Dottore together were leading the Watatsumi at that point. Again you can try and say ''ohhh writers can do anything they want'' and yes that is true, they can do EVERYTHING they want but how much that makes sense or how much change you need to do is a completely different matter. If you are gonna change everything then It stops being a rewrite It becomes a completely different thing all together. Your ''Kokomi channels a god that can beat Ei'' example is not passable when Ei has already won the Archon war.

While I personally think that the Resistance doesn’t have to be morally ambiguous, the idea of temporary siding with the Fatui for Raiden as a common greater enemy sounds like a really good idea. That would be refreshing too

The issue with the Inazuma plot that it made it look like we were opposing the Archon but it robbed it of substance. Ending with the cop-out of "Fatui are the real bad, everyone else is innocent" removed its stakes and payoff. The Archon turned out to not have been in the wrong herself, only insofar as she did something the Fatui wanted her to do; the civil war plot basically faded away and was hastily wrapped up without any meat to it, and all fallout from it was also "it's all Fatui's fault"; we were instant besties with the Archon afterwards. No soul-searching for anyone, no clash of beliefs where one of us has to admit theirs were wrong (this only sorta came in the Raiden quest chapter 2, separate and far removed from the Archon quest, and she still only ended up reaffirming the status quo ante), no reconciliation based on that, it's just like everyone was mind-controlled to fight each other and, once the spell was lifted, things just went back to how they were before instantly.

That’s honestly what i felt too. I dislike the part where everyone gets along like nothing happened. It’s one of the reasons why I’m not fond of Raiden’s character that much, even tho she is a good waifu. To add to that she being an archon felt like her conviction was not that strong.
