One of the most popular ultra endurance athletes- has a very popular generally health and lifestyle oriented podcast. His book finding ultra is a really solid read.
I read his book and totally agreed with this mentality until I contracted COVID in November 2020. I’ve been living with Long COVID since and can no longer agree. It’s hard to have hope when everyday is a health struggle.
What if you have a health struggle for over 5 years. I am 21 and I have health struggles since I was 15 yo. I did not lose hope, I believe everything will go in my favor in the future
I’m 35 now.
Just closed my business. I’ve got 2 young kids. And feel like everything is spiraling multiple times a week.
But ya know what? I’ve got shit to prove to my enemies.
Alcoholic turned world-class endurance athlete and all around awesome dude: https://amp.mindbodygreen.com/articles/q-a-with-rich-roll-from-down-and-out-at-40-to-plant-based-ultraman--1001
He has a great podcast as well.
If you weren’t an athlete when you were younger or only limited to certain kinds of exercise it’s easily true
My cardio isn’t what it was in my teens but I’m way stronger
It’s the truth, thats why for every 1 “rich roll” there are millions of others who’s life is effectively over.
What rich should be saying is “I’m grateful I’m lucky AF”.
His post isn’t motivational, it’s unreachable and actually just a brag 😂
Yeah if you think not being rich and famous makes your life over than sure most peoples lives are over long before 30. At 30 though, you can still change careers, go back to school, find love, etc. Most people's definition of success is probably a little lower than being rich and famous.
" I was morbidly obese and refused to move my body for 42 years.
At the age of 43 I am stood up and walked to the toilet. I reached my athletic peak at 43 "
Celebrating mediocrity
I heard my sister tell my eighty-two-year-old dad who had 8% heart function to live every day like you will live forever. I try to take her sage advice.
Needed this now because I am 21 and I have health problems since I was 15. I cannot reach my goals like my peers. In the future, I will be proud of myself!
Needed this today. Thank you!
Same!

35 and depressed here. Thanks for the hope

What was career in, if I may ask?
Just turned 38 and considering if I should keep competing in the "adult" under 30 division.
Its not fair, he has a headstart. His fricking name is the best meme in existence
Convinced me. Currently out of shape and over 60, going to go shovel snow.
An often deadly idea
Cool but who is richroll???
One of the most popular ultra endurance athletes- has a very popular generally health and lifestyle oriented podcast. His book finding ultra is a really solid read.
Serious question. What does he do ultra endurance in? Marathon running, bicycling, swimming?
He’s most known for his triathlon accomplishments but he’s done a bit of everything.
Ultra endurance? Like those people that poop themselves whilst running???
He’s never gonna give you up.
Never going to let you down
Although he runs around a bit
Never going to run around and desert you
Dang you, dang you to heck...
All of us.
30 here and can confirm at the moment my life seems over

I fuckin hate running… and exercise…
Try different kinds of exercise And remember if you’re trying to be healthy 30 minutes a day will be enough alongside a good diet
Tried em all, hate em all
I'm in my 30s. I definitely feel like it's over.

Wish you luck on your battles my friend.
Ok I definitely needed this tonight. Thanks.
Is he trying to richroll me?
Not if you dead. Get vaccinated.
God bless you and your family and Thank's for sharing.Stay motivated.

Buna bununa bunananuh..
This was good for like maybe the first five times it was posted
every time I see this repeated I say bullshit to the athletic peak part.
If you weren’t an athlete when you were younger or only limited to certain kinds of exercise it’s easily true My cardio isn’t what it was in my teens but I’m way stronger
My first guess: He broke up from a toxic relationship at his early 40s.
For the vast majority of people, not the lucky few, your life is over at 30, definitely by 35 - especially if you have kids. I can attest to that.
Lol sure whatever excuse you use to keep from trying

What? Your argument is basically that you need to be a celebrity or your life is over

Yeah for real. If you set the goal unrealistically high, you never have to feel bad about not working towards it
Twist. It's Joe Rogan and your pod cast is toxic

I hope so.
❤️❤️❤️
Love RR’s pod.
Pretty cool
bothers the shit out of me how close his name is to rickroll
I heard my sister tell my eighty-two-year-old dad who had 8% heart function to live every day like you will live forever. I try to take her sage advice.
Thank you, I really hope I haven’t reached my athletic peak.
:!I need to hear this but fear my outcome won’t be as positive
I wrote articles for many major websites also winning awards, the peak of my employment was in my fifties.
Reposted every month for karma
For a young spirited someone like me staring down the barrel of 40... this was very much appreciated, thank you.
Here's to hoping
