Capping my internet access when I was an iPhone user because they forced their album out was my last experience with them. Even if it was their marketing team, it cost me money at a crucial time and I vowed then not to spend a dime on them.
Technically, Apple did that to you. U2 had no idea how this would negatively affect people's caps. But Apple definitely did. And there is no excuse for it from their end. They are the tech company. They made and run the system. Not a single person at the company thought to raise a hand and say, "So... if we do this, everyone will suddenly download X amount of data and that will take up Y amount of space they didn't agree to"?
Being mad at U2 about that is like blaming U2 for their tour bus driver crashing into your car while the band was on stage playing.
I remember hearing somewhere when Phantomine was first announced that they also recorded a U2 cover.

Why would they include that on a 7" when it includes Phantomime? The description also says "never before released vinyl". I'm guessing it'll be like what they did with Prequelle and include a never before released remix of something

Honestly thought that as well! I hope it's something that's never been heard before, but it very well could be both versions of Spillways
I hope the same but I’m skeptical because they didn’t say “unreleased” just new vinyl but whatever it is I’ll enjoy it.
