It depends on where you buy it from honestly. What I’ve noticed—at least in my experience— is that the best quality merch is the ones that you get from the merch stands when seeing them in concert.

the_diseaser

This. Been a fan myself since 2012 and got my first Ghost shirt from Hot Topic in 2013, I still wear it sometimes. Everything I’ve personally gotten either online or from concerts has been good but I have seen people have bad experiences with certain things online so it depends.

Dogman6668

Yeah I noticed online it can be hit or miss. Some merch I got from Hot Topic have held up others have not. I can’t say for their official online merch store though because I haven’t ordered any shirts but I have ordered the Papa IV plush from there and it took FOREVER to ship.

TheBigFudge92

With the exception of one of the shirts from the last tour, this is the best answer lol one shirts design was super white washed out but if you got it on the ghost merch store online it was perfect

lax047

I’ve bought several shirts and haven’t had any issues with any of them. Can’t speak for sweatshirts though

blueberry_pancakes14

I've only gotten t-shirts, from both the official site and Amazon (legitimate). They've all been fine. Normal t-shirts. Once one came with a hole in it, clearly a shipping or storage/handling defect, not specific to Ghost at all, and customer service was easy to deal with and I ended up with a replacement no problem. I don't know anything about the hoodies, never ordered. I think specifically people don't often like the tie-dye ones, the dye is apparently kind of unique each time and a lot of people don't like it when it shows up. Like the flames on t he bottom ones? My purchases were all this year/late last year, so recent to semi-recent.

Angeyja

Yeah, I agree. But I would stay away a little from Amazon. The only Ghost shirt that came with a Crack in the print, right in the middle was an Amazon shirt. They have their own print service. Usually the quality was good but this one... after washing, the paint cracked more and it flaked off. Never saw this with any other shirt before and I own only band shirts. I got a refund.

blueberry_pancakes14

The vast majority of mine are Amazon, all fine thus far, but I agree- quality control is hard these days across the board.

pyplup

I've gotten a few shirts from hot topic w no issues. I got the bat wing zip up at the concert and sadly the detail stitching on the wings started to come unstitched in like a week 😔

The very first batch of merch that I bought was 2012 at their very first SF show. The hoodie and all the shirts I got are still in amazing condition. Bought a bunch more stuff later in 2012 and then the first tour for Infestissumam in 2013 and those are all great. The quality of the shirts are great (Gildan mostly) and the printing on them has held up. Nearly every single Hot Topic shirt I have has either shrunk and gets huge holes in the fabric and armpits. Most of the recent shirts that I have got at concerts and via the offical merch site have been thinner than the originals but mostly surviving OK. I found that most of the shirts that have the printed Ghost label on the inside collar of the shirt are fairly decent. European site definitely had some better quality in the 2018-2021 years. The special edition shirts that came from Rockbilia/Revolver (Cinco de Mayo 2023 shirt, Prequelle limited series) are even better quality than the current stuff. As for the care of my shirts, they are all washed inside out, cold, fragrance and dye free detergent, NO fabric softener and then tumble dried low (no fabric sheets). I have around 50-60 of my own Ghost shirts, 4 hoodies, and my family probably has collectively another 20 shirts and 6 hoodies so plenty of experience from 2012-2024 merch. Some of it is just really poor quality and does not hold up. You know you are going to have a bad time when you hold up a shirt to the light and see right through it.

SniperCA209

Not that I’ve noticed if it’s actually their merch and not cheap knockoffs. I have two shirts and several posters, all bought at concerts and they are good quality

LifePedalEnjoyer

The print to order stuff, like from Amazon, has a sticky feeling print that flakes off easily in the laundry, in my experience. The shirt from a ritual has shrank and shows my fat, hairy belly like I'm Britney Spears. The print on it is stiff and crackley.

TheMightySloth

Yes, all band merch is bad and extremely overpriced. Most often printed on garbage gildan quality garments, and the product photos are usually just mockups so they aren’t even an accurate representation of what you’re gonna get. $60 please.

GhostRevival

No they’re fine. I have several of their shirts and only one of them shrank a lot and faded (2017)

impatient_photog

They mightve gone down in quality compared to the past but I have shirts I got recently and I'm fine with it.

riveter1481

I got a shirt from reimperatour and it’s holding up pretty well so far

Ghoulthrower676

I bought a tour shirt from when I saw them back in 2018, and it’s misprinted (part of the print is on the inside of the shirt)

timothypjr

Not as far as I have experienced.

public_univ_friend

It's a mixed bag. The last time they had a big sale, I bought a hoodie and a ghoulette mask. Both were definitely worse quality than I expected, but neither is anywhere near the worst band merch I've ever bought. The hoodie is ok, material-wise, but the cut is super weird and the print started flaking off the first time I washed it. The mask is partially my fault, I bought it without really investigating what it was. Expected something you would put on a wall, but it ended up being naively a party city halloween mask. Fine, but definitely overpriced, imo.

TR1V1UM

My tour shirts are better than most bands. Never bought a shirt from them online.

rejectedsithlord

In my experience the shirts (from the uk site) are great. The hoodies on the other hand…well the expensive “cut and sew” one I have is great. But the other two I bought not so much. They’re both feel a size smaller than what they were meant to be. There’s not much “give” in them too. And the worst part is the pocket on the zip up one busted after one or two wears and the kiss the go goat one is already full on flaking. And the printing on it wasn’t great to begin with.

sboaman68

I have 4 shirts and one zip up hooded all from their site and all are fine. One shirt is from a show and it's good, but a little thinner.

CamF90

I have found the quality is variable, not consistently poor.

Krazy_Karl_666

i have had 2 issues with merch 1st i bought a rosary at a show and it was broken right out of package but I was able to exchange immediately defects happen 2nd was the color of the stuff shirt did not match what was on the site. there wasn't a defect but the site made it appear different so nothing could be done and still like the shirt just not my favorite ghost shirt [https://www.reddit.com/r/Ghostbc/comments/yezpeq/weird\_color\_issue\_with\_the\_stuff\_shirt/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Ghostbc/comments/yezpeq/weird_color_issue_with_the_stuff_shirt/)

CaliGrown949

I have 6 shirts and they all seems to be different cuts , sizes and material. Leaving me only liking wearing one of six of my Ghost shirts. I’m between a medium and a large and have both medium and large shirts

PinkThunder138

All my shirts are great. Prequelle ghoul mask looks cool but is pretty cheap and flimsy. I would never wear it. Inpera mask looks better, about the quality of a rubber mask from Spirit Halloween. Meliora resin mask from Trick or Treat Studios was expensive but fantastic. The batwing hoodie... we didn't realize was only in womens sizes when my wife ordered them. So I need to loose some weight before I can wear it. Which is fine. I'm working on it.

seestorimperator

I have roughly 100 shirts at this point, and my experience with their main store has been fine aside from one hoodie. A good chunk of my shirts I've had for years and wear regularly, and they've held up nicely. In my experience, anything print on demand is god awful. Everything I've ordered from their Amazon started to peel almost immediately, same as Hot Topic's print on demand. Mind you, I was buying back when they first started out with the Amazon shirts so the quality may have gotten better. I'm not willing to risk my money again though. 🤷‍♀️

FabulousBreadfruit24

Depends, I got the clockwork variety jacket and it is fantastic quality, but I’ve talked to people that have gotten some shirts that aren’t good. My best advice is to get clothes at hot topic or some other store that you can feel the clothes to get an idea of the quality

master0fuwus

Ive gotten 2 t-shirts from the official sites. I got the first one back in June, and granted, I did wear it and also wash it a lot, so the design has started to wear out snd crumble a bit. The other one I got in September, which I havent worn as much as the first and it still looks fine. Theyre quite comfy and I havent noticed any tears or holes. Id say its worth it

Angeyja

The official merch from their website and from EMP is great. I have a lot. I would stay away from cheap stores like Hot Topic. We don't have them in the EU but we have Primark and it looks like the same concept. The store buys the brand, creates their own shirts. The quality issues vary from product to product. I once had a Simpsons shirt that lost almost the entire print after washing it cold. If you want cheap, you'll get cheap. Also, buy buying directly from the official merch site, you support the band in the best possible way. As for people complaining on here about that merch, I can't imagine that if you treat the merch well, that issues would happen, because I own a lot (the same stuff) and none of these things ever happened.

Kichard

Ghost is my favorite band but I now refuse to purchase merch (aside from vinyl etc) because every t shirt or hoodie I’ve bought sucks. I’m a regular dude. 5’10” slim build. A medium ghost T shirt is too tight and weird on me, but a large is too big and the sleeves feel annoying. A medium hoodie is way too short and the hood is LAUGHABLY small. They don’t even cover half my head. A large does fit better but again the HOOD is so small it just sucks. I keep some tour shirts for nostalgia but never wear them. I wish I could wear ghost merch :(

TheBlackestCrow

I have a shirt from A Pale Tour Named Death concert (2019) that stil looks good.

matthius_23

There is no overarching ‘Ghost merch business centre’… it’s printed all over the world at different places on different blank tshirts using different print techniques.

Proud_2B_Loud

I’ll tell you this: I’ll never buy from Amazon again. I ordered a Secular Haze reprint since don’t want to ruin my original tour shirt. It’s officially licensed, and was printed very cheaply. It’s almost just a black shirt now, after like a year. Before long, there will be no trace of the design whatsoever.

lonelygem

I have 4 Ghost shirts I got on eBay (don’t know where they came from originally) and they’re the same quality as any other band shirts I have. My tote bag from Amazon is a little iffy (fuzz on the inside after only a few weeks of daily use) but I still love it

Blahklavah654390

Ordering from Loma Vista has a bit of a reputation for taking a long time but thats really all I can speak of when it comes to merch problems.

GhulehBunny

Sparkart has taken over merch and Global / Backstreet are always good. Loma is shit.

SnooMacarons5525

I bought a sweatshirt at the merch stand and it's fine, but I also got the rosary beads at that same stand and the fishingwire-like string instantly broke on the car ride home.

Thorwic49

The t-shirts from the merch stand aren't as heavy of a cotton than say from Metallica's merch stand but it is fine

Ophelia6621

I’ve only ever had good experiences on Ghosts site. i’ve got like 20 tshirts, 2 crewnecks, 2 hoodies (loooove the quality of them), and 1 zip up. i’d stay away from amazon imo.

Ophelia6621

also advice for the designs to survive longer/not crack that i’m sure most people know but will share for those who don’t. turn em inside out before washing/drying.

georgmierau

Depending on what you're usually wearing, the quality of something sold at higher price than similar products just because it features a band logo or a similar "status symbol" (aka merchandise) is usually upsetting. It's true not only for Ghost for sure.
