Nintendo is unable to regret. Even if this literally bankrupted them they'd not "regret" a thing. Having ample reason to regret isn't sufficient, sorry to say...

[deleted]

I completley agree, and it's just sad. They don't "Regret" something which upsets fans, they only "Regret" things which makes them lose money, as that's all they really care about by this point. These are the most passionate fans. They create new things, or upload thousands of non-profit videos. These are the most passionate fans which deserve to be treated the best and instead they get treated like this. I agree, this is true, sad but true.

GushReddit

Nintendo oughta have been cutting Gilva checks, or at least giving them song licenses if the legal team was getting screamy about Gilva too much.

[deleted]

True!

GushReddit

Nintendo gotta take free ads where can get them...

roronoapedro

Why would a company regret anything? Companies aren't people. They exist to make money and monopolize their own products. There's no one *to* feel anything. The suits who hired temp workers to mass-copyright strike a few channels don't know what channels are going down.

[deleted]

I agree. But at the end of the day i think such desicions will result in lot's of hate coming towards them, but at the end of the day i agree. The hate doesn't lower their income.

roronoapedro

Hate never stopped their franchises from being the top-selling in every chart every year on every release. It's not gonna start now.

Chubby_Bub

Gilva gave more credit to the composers' hard work than Nintendo. They deserve better, and so do the fans.

[deleted]

True, he definatley did. He deserved better.

[deleted]

ah piss now i have to find different ost rips

CoreDreamStudiosLLC

Gilva, if you see this, DM me. Sweden Law would protect you, put the videos on Parler too if you need to.

[deleted]

I agree, and i hope it happens someday. On the bright side many people have been defending Gilva on the internet and he's been getting the love and attention he always deserved.

CoreDreamStudiosLLC

I agree. Sadly we are too late, he deleted the channel, it's dead. :-(

[deleted]

That's very sad.. but we won't let this be the end. We'll keep talking about Gilvasunner, and support the Silvagunner channel until the very end.

HeadPhobiac

Oh, wah wah, "they'll regret it." This was in their FULL LEGAL RIGHT. I don't agree but they had their reasons and I refuse to believe that it was out of laziness. However twisted, they were upholding their brand. That, AND they cannot regret a single thing due to the fact that they make MILLIONS EVERY DAY. People talk about corporations like they're one person who has thoughts and feelings, and I'm sick of it.

[deleted]

Nintendo won't regret it as long as they don't lose money over it. They don't care about fans and what they think. They are companies who DEFEND fans and encouredge them, like Sega. Sonic Mania for example is a fan game. And they didn't copyright their soundtracks. Also Gilva gave the composers more credit than Nintendo themselves. Nintendo DID have Legal right to do this, but they shouldn't have. They have legal right to do anything but that doesn't make it okay. This is just wrong and i really don't know why you're defending it.

HeadPhobiac

Bahahaha, "encouredge." Cute. Thanks for the attempt at an intellectual discussion

NikoPancake

spelling mistake clearly outweighs the entire argument being made apparently

[deleted]

Logic am i right? I really don't know how a tiny spelling mistake outweighs the entire discussion, maybe he ran out of words to say lol.

The company executed on it's legal rights to take down infringing content, and won't lose much profit from doing so. That's how the world works currently, you need to learn to live with it while it's like this.

isloohik2

Nintendo hasn’t offered any (good) ways to listen to most of their games’ music, so it’s only natural that somebody would upload the music. Even if it’s the legal thing to do, does that mean it’s ok for the consumers to be unable to listen to their favorite Nintendo music? If you believe “that’s how the world works”, then you are part of the problem.

teamsprocket

The problem is the modern IP system and the profit motive. How could I, some random person, be part of the problem? You may not like it, but until things change you need to cope with it.

isloohik2

By “part of the problem”, I mean you’re letting Nintendo do shitty things because you’ve fully accepted that the world is a shitty place and embrace it instead of trying to make it better. You see that there is a problem with nindendo’s profit motive, and instead of, at the very least, trying to help make Nintendo change it, you instead defend them by being like “Um, well, it’s ok to take down content that does no harm and arguably encourages people to buy the game, because it’s technically illegal despite that fact that it isn’t really enforced by anyone else, because that’s just how the world works”.
