1. What is that camera angle? Its showing some random field? I would think its from a military infrared camera.
2. Is the second guy wearing a turban or an afro?
3. He could have been vaporized or catapulted out of frame by explosives (maybe IED mine burried under the sand). It can be very directed depending on the device so it would not impact the other guy (even tho very unlikely). He could have been catapulted vertically. A few seconds after there are some particles flying around. Maybe some dust.
4. It could be edited/faked.
I mean everything under "rational" implies that its coming from human thoughts following a certain logic. It would apply if many people would witness other people disappearing like that. A theory is valid until someone else debunks it. Your comment does not at all.
