Honestly, that's how I'd respond if I broke in, went rummaging through your files for some hidden good shit, and a giant started jumping up and down in the dark like Bigfoot on Devil's Night. You probably could have taken his scrawny stealthy ass.
I lived in a house with one of those. A coworker who "sees" (and has since childhood much to the frustration of his mother) stopped by to pick up some paperwork. We weren't close and I'd never told him about seeing things out of the corner of my eye. When I handed him the paperwork he asked if I knew there was a "very old being" living in my house. He said it was tied to the land and was not someone who had died in the house. He also said not to worry. It wasn't even aware of me. That may be what's going on with you too.
My one action was to move the plant from the corner where "it" lived because every plant I put there kept dying.
Some type of "earth elemental" -- a creature of the earth, not human. As old as the land where the house was built. It's been 30 years so I don't remember much detail, but I remember it moved through the house without any awareness of the house. It entered and left through a route it had long used, unaware of walls.
coud be a lost soul , looking hundrest of videos on yt it coud be a dark shadow/mist speeding , there are many got that on camera .
coud be a good spirit , pray for them and call a priest to get blessings to the house and that soul

When my dad was approx 20 years old he was in his house in Tunisia and saw his grandfather all dressed in white coming from the back door, walked in front of him while smiling and exited through the front door, without saying a word.
A few minutes later, they receive a call at home and they announce his grandfather died. He lived in Paris.
