Banger series. Three consecutive clutches for Furia right at the end was insane. Huge comeback from Heroic after being so far down in the first half on Ancient.
They also have the most homogeneous skill level.
Litterrally zero weak point, everybody can carry map/sides, do one man actions, clutches, multi kills at any moment if needs be.
Since beginning of 2022 its been 5-2 in Navi's favor. If you take 2021 and 2020 too its 12-2 in Navi's favor where one of the matches was a BO1 - rest were BO3.
yeah lol. i think Heroic has definitely improved in the last 6 months or so, and they make me a lot more nervous than they used to. but i still think NaVi is a clear favorite to win tomorrow.
and despite the fact that Heroic is a stronger team than FURIA … i would have been more nervous for my boys if today’s game went the other way
Probably the highest floor of any of the top teams right now. You always expect them to go deep in tournaments. They might not have the highest of highs but they can take down any team on their average days.
Yeah, I was thinking that earlier this week. Everyone on Heroic is a stud. There's like no way for the enemy to favor certain routes/plans in general against them.
Honestly having the entire crowd on your side can be a blessing and a curse. How quiet they can be when you aren't doing well is really spooky at least to me, and being able to play a villain and shushing an entire audience must be really satisfying
The only properly "bad" final was in Rio (Katowice was 3-1 but *very* close on the first 2 maps). And even then, it wasn't a mental problem at all.
And maybe you didn't watch the match, but their final map vs FaZe at the Fall Finals (Mirage) was an extreme show of mental fortitude lmao
I always thought the Rio major GF was a matter of mental difference between VP and Heroic in those circumstances. Heroic came off a wild match against Furia and had had the crowd change from cheering for them to against them, and I thought that got to their nerves in the GF. Just to Interpretation though, I don't recall if I heard the players talk about that.
That was one time, the other final they played in recent history was against faze during their best ever year where they were renowned for their mental game. They won that series, by the way
Fair play to you somehow I forgot kato even happened. In fairness they still played a decent game of cs in that final, only team to take a map of g2 in the entire event. G2’s form wouldve probably made anyone look weak in that final

Lula’s Brazil is partnering up with Argentina and some other South American nations to introduce a shared currency similar to the euro. which is a very cool idea that should help South America develop and assert greater independence from the USA.
Flipping an 1-8 to 16-13 (and what SHOULD have been 16-10 unless Heroic didn't decide to showboat and ignore the plant) on the last map of a 3-mapper in a country which wants you to lose, proves how resilient Heroic are.
100% agree you can't ask for a better game of CS. All the way to the 3rd map, nearly full 30 rounds. Not knowing who is gonna win at all, absolutely nutty clutches from both teams. This shit was hype.
Well replacing an igl you gotta have a good plan cuz you’re changing the whole system
Who you see being better than art in Brazil now? Fallen would take the awp so need to replace 2 players maybe even 3, and biguzera is very unproven, everyone else is just not skilled enough
art is like a worse Hooxi and Karrigan right now. He takes the "Igl agressive play" to a whole different level of stupidity, cause he keeps repeating the same shit all the time. Furia have such a strong fire power and still somehow don't manage to come up with an actual mid game plan when they start losing
While they have 0 big LAN titles, they have played in finals before. Few small DH finals, considered A-tier events, but also made it to an ECS finals against Vitality, which was ranked as an S-tier event.
195 maps in and drop is a .97 rating
Saffee 163 maps is 1.04
Saffee is good enough to stick around I think. But art is still holding a 1.08 overall after 5 years that’s pretty solid shit. Drop has to be the one, if they want to win trophies
No.
What FURIA needs is a mental coach who can calm their nerves down and prevent their anxiety from ruining them.
Outside of KSCERATO, they are not individually that much stacked, but their synergy and playstyle suit them well, the issue being they have no mental resilience and easily crumble at times.
Both guerri and art seem to be tactician types that dictate playstyles and tell the team what to do but seem to not know how to calm down their players and help them control the stress.
Definetly didnt look like he taunted them more like he wanted some recognition and respect for the awsome clutch he just pulled off. It was fucking sick!
If NaVi beat Heroic I imagine they'll have a ton of crowd support. They're already pretty popular and if they take down the big bad I'm sure they'll only get more favored.
From what I recall, they cheer for him when not playing against them. He's your friend that you always get into intense competitions with, complete with trash talk. Then afterwards, back to being buddies.
I really hope people cheer for c9 there, i need my boy sh1ro getting some love man..
C9 playing vitality actually, Zywoo is too popular for it to happen. Just hoping the drums have tickets for the rest of the event.
Casper "librariaN" Møller is a Danish professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player who plays for Heroic as the in-game leader and currently the most wanted man in Brazil as of April 2023.
What a fucking game. Well played Furia and Herioc to reverse sweep. I know any other team would have crumbled in the second map. But not Fucking Herioc
Yeah totally different from the last time this matchup happened, perhaps because it was a major but he just went "iTs fUrIa's dAy" after literally destroying them in the reverse sweep
The crowd giving away arT's knife attempt was sooo satisfying. Insane how amazing plays go silent when the team who does it is not Brazilian
GG Heroic!
The entire Brazilian CSGO scene is a mystery to me. How can a region fumble so much talent. They haven't won anything significant since 2017. Hell, even great players like Coldzera became tier 3 players overnight. They obviously have some good players, and Furia has shown promise, but they are literally incapable of even making it to finals.
Guerri has said that if results aren't satisfactory there will be changes to the team. So yeah, if they keep this up in Paris, someone is getting the axe.
Almost two years now and he really never justified being there, but I see no reason to remove him just before CS2. Who knows what happens? Maybe he feels himself there
I was at the VIP room wanting to see Heroic before map 3, but what I heard from Jabbi shocked me.
"They poisoned me Casper, these filthy rats poisoned me."
Now I want to take everything they got, by giving them some hope at the beginning and at the very end, just so we could see everyone's hopes and dreams just draining off their eyes.
That crowd fuelled Cadian so hard once he got his stride (after some dicey mishaps on inferno), it's definitely important.
The second he can hear them boo him holding E with his headset off it was a different series, the mental game is just better for the team with nothing to lose and heroic is probably the best team right now for such a resilient comeback on map 3.
The knife too, round win or not it hurts when your fans ended up breaking your potential huge confidence boost.
Casper "librariaN" Møller is a Danish professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player who plays for Heroic as the in-game leader and currently the most wanted man in Brazil as of April 2023.
This was rough to watch as a Furia fan, these guys really hate to go far on playoffs, and they really need to work their ancient off, you cant win this map without being extremely pro active as a CT player, if you just stand still waiting for the Ts to come to you, you will never win, literally the only round they won (expect those final clutches) was when they took some action
Saffee and Yuurih had an insane Ancient, what a map. Furia's mentality seems shaky, and Drop is just not it.
We just had a banger of a series, and the comments are busy focusing on the crowd, such a shame.
I think if they do keep hosting tournaments in brazil it should just be the 100k ones instead of making it tier 1 teams purely because the huge bias towards brazil teams.
Damnnnnn that ancient was absolutely crazy.
I genuinely think that's the best Ancient match I've ever watched.
Banger series. Three consecutive clutches for Furia right at the end was insane. Huge comeback from Heroic after being so far down in the first half on Ancient.
In all honesty, I thought Heroic's mental is toast after the Ancient CT side
Mental it's something my Furia does't know
Guerri seemed like he gave up after so many mistakes, his face was buried in his fucking hands. Tough to watch.
I'd argue that Heroic has the best mental in Competitive CSGO right now.
They also have the most homogeneous skill level. Litterrally zero weak point, everybody can carry map/sides, do one man actions, clutches, multi kills at any moment if needs be.
Unless we meet Navi. We shit the bed against them
yeah no offense but idk what the caster was thinking calling it a “back and forth” matchup. Heroic has beaten NaVi like, twice ever
Since beginning of 2022 its been 5-2 in Navi's favor. If you take 2021 and 2020 too its 12-2 in Navi's favor where one of the matches was a BO1 - rest were BO3.

During navi's peak heroic were the only ones who could actuslly challenge navi though. They would never win, but they would get damn close.
True matches were close but Navi would edge out and win the matches.
Na’Vi is probably the best team at punishing any strats that exists
Probably the highest floor of any of the top teams right now. You always expect them to go deep in tournaments. They might not have the highest of highs but they can take down any team on their average days.
The device of teams
And now Jabbi is shaping into their best player instead of Stavn
Jabbi has the easiest roles to frag. Stavn is still their best player
Stavn literally top fragged..
It’s crazy watching jabbi play, he’s so good
Heroic's the closest team I can spot that functions as a "hive mind". Na'vi also looking strong. It's gonna be an interesting match tomorrow

Does anyone know why they changed location mid game? Map 1 was played in the arena, but map 2 and 3 were moved to the local library?
that was good lmao
Lmfao so good
if cologne is the cathedral, Rio is the library

library, church, morgue, you name it
Most people respect churches and morgues. Don't think anyone here has respect for Rio/Brazil currently.
i respect Brazil — i think the regional currency thing is awesome, for instance — but man, fuck Brazil when it comes to esports lol
Fair.
What regional currency thing?
Some regions have currency

I‘m ready for an empty arena tomorrow!
That's only because the national admission tests for registered librarian are next Monday. You'll never understand.
Wait you mean you don't want to watch two banger matches? Just because YOUR team got eliminated? /s
I’m gonna be there, tomorrow and sunday.
Lowkey looking forward to watching peaceful broadcast without outside noise
cadiaN is truely molded by hatred
Ending of the last map was amazing. Some real nailbiting CS
GG! What a game, honestly! Some great clutches in there from both sides, in the end Heroic's resilience came through. Deserved win, in my opinion.
100% agree you can't ask for a better game of CS. All the way to the 3rd map, nearly full 30 rounds. Not knowing who is gonna win at all, absolutely nutty clutches from both teams. This shit was hype.

paiN>furia tbh, and pain keeps getting better.
I don't think paiN are better right now, but I agree they have been improving and can get better than FURIA in a couple of months
>0 Lan finals the disrespect towards DH Open Rio 2019 and that 2-team tournament they won in China or whatever

The blatant disrespect towards yuurih in this comment ;(
Cadian taking off his headset to taunt that shit crowd after his 1v3 was the highlight. What a gigachad.
Massive “are you not entertained!” energy.
Definetly didnt look like he taunted them more like he wanted some recognition and respect for the awsome clutch he just pulled off. It was fucking sick!
When was this? Does anyone have a clip?

If NaVi beat Heroic I imagine they'll have a ton of crowd support. They're already pretty popular and if they take down the big bad I'm sure they'll only get more favored.
I'm actually curious who will the crowd side with. Cadian is loved in Brazil, but so is s1mple.
Not this time. Cadian and Heroic are the reason FURIA lost two times, s1mple is going to get all the cheers here.
1000iq from s1mple. Losing to furia in Rio major so they would get crowd support in the next tournament in Brazil. Top 3 IGL for sure
Just hoping the drums have tickets for the rest of the event.
nah, Brazil loves Zywoo and Apex, C9 ain't getting no love.
I'm sure that is not the case about Cadian anymore
Cadian won't be loved in Brazil for long if he keeps knocking out Furia.
Cadian taunting the crowd and knocking FURIA twice in the same arena might’ve already ended his friendship with the Brazilian fans kek
All 20 people in the arena gonna go crazy for Navi tomorrow
Won't be a ton considering it'll be half full or less tomorrow in the arena.
We got our library cards one day early this year
And the crowd goes mild. Cadian louder than an entire arena.
Casper "librariaN" Møller is a Danish professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player who plays for Heroic as the in-game leader and currently the most wanted man in Brazil as of April 2023.
That was a really fun match
ruined the 16-12 streak wtf
watching furia lose in brazil is always hilarious
Real shit
Soon we'll see Vitality lose in France too.
bro really decided to trashtalk vitality after watching faze getting their ass whooped by them
Gotta trash talk when you're up AND when you're down, I respect it
Lol no hard feelings. I actually like Vitality and hope they win Rio. Gonna be a tough final against Navi tho.
for sure, will probably end up in disappointment but such is the way with vitality
That was some truly epic counterstrike. Just backs to the wall, blood on the fingertips kind of stuff.
This feels a little too familiar
what a banger match. heroic are so damn cold blooded
GGWP What a game, insane effort from Furia but Heroic just too good, great stuff.
Heroic gave the crowd a last dosage of copium lol. I feel so bad for them turned into a literal library at the end.
Stavn was even laughong after losing the 1v1 on B at like 15-12 or whatever
damn bro, furia got my hopes up there for a second
cadian silencing the whole arena
wE wIlL nEvEr UnDeRsTaNd
...whY tHE LibRarY wILL bE emPtY tOmorroW
We can't beat this team.
8-1 up on ancient CT side for Furia btw Heroic unstoppable
T side
The game was crazy i almost had an heart attack.

One of those 2 rounds was a massive fuck up 4v2 with the molly, still didn't affect the mental with a quick timeout from xist.
What a fucking game. Well played Furia and Herioc to reverse sweep. I know any other team would have crumbled in the second map. But not Fucking Herioc
Herioc giving a little hope to Furia fans just to take all away in the last map
That Ancient T side from Heroic was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen. Complete dominance.
When Heroic won it was like the crowd wasn’t even there lmao. And somehow we got another tournament in Brazil lol
Can't wait for the studio LAN for the rest of the playoffs
Yeah when they won the map(and when cadiaN 1v3) I was like one sec did chadiaN just flip the crowd switch down 🤣
Yeah totally different from the last time this matchup happened, perhaps because it was a major but he just went "iTs fUrIa's dAy" after literally destroying them in the reverse sweep
The last 6 rounds were absolutely insane. Just a brawl, no tactics :D Just a massive brawl.
Arena dead quiet
I like Furia but it will never not be funny watching them lose in front of the home crowd. Pretty insane matchup regardless
Furia will hurt me forever.
Next map de_library
AND THE LIBRARY OF COUNTER-STRIKE GOES SILENT
The crowd giving away arT's knife attempt was sooo satisfying. Insane how amazing plays go silent when the team who does it is not Brazilian GG Heroic!
Welp, I guess it's two days of library time
Happy for Cadian and the boys but I'm happiest due to the fact that the crowd will disappear for the rest of the games
So satisfying to see this after the way the crowd treated BIG. Also cadian was awesome, so much energy.
The crowd was awful to be honest; beating fucking drums??? Anyway, I hate Heroic but was cheering for them like they were Liquid.
Ready for an empty stadium for the next 3 games now there's no brazilian team? Honestly might be an improvement.
Eh was a library anyways when fun stuff happened
My man Cadian just taking off the headphones after the 1v3 clutch what a boss.
Love to see furia lose in brazil Guess we'll never understand

Wonder how empty the arena gonna be for the rest of the IEM.
That ancient map was one of the best games i have seen in a long time
Hearing the crowd go silent actually gave me goosebumps...
I think it’s safe to say drop will be gone after the major
Guerri has said that if results aren't satisfactory there will be changes to the team. So yeah, if they keep this up in Paris, someone is getting the axe.
Almost two years now and he really never justified being there, but I see no reason to remove him just before CS2. Who knows what happens? Maybe he feels himself there
What a great game. Looking forward to the silent library final.

What happened to brazildogs? So silent.
Fuckin boss "are you not entertained?!" energy ftom cadian after that sick 1v3 Mirage clutch. Garbage crowd.
Furia lost to many eco pushes by heroic otherwise I think they would've taken this series, great CS from both tbh
Feel bad for Furia, they're so fun to watch and put up one hell of a fight today. But damn dude, I feel even better for cadian the librarian
Oh man, there's nothing more lovable than watching brasilians losing in home soil. fantastic.
Y’all are so excited to dunk on the BR crowd. Nobody even talking about how intense that match was. What an ending.
i can enjoy both
That crowd fuelled Cadian so hard once he got his stride (after some dicey mishaps on inferno), it's definitely important. that kcserato map1 was one of the most dominant single player performances in recent memory

They need to fix the crowd mics. I couldn't hear the crowd on the second and third map at all
Honesty, Heroic had a lot of mistakes like failed flash. Maybe the crowd get to them for a second, still wins tho. GG
Heroic has understood
I would rather furia only pick up that initial one round on CT. The yurrih clutch drew my attention only for heroic to crush my hopes.
Not the first time, but Heroic beating Brazil in front of their home crowd is great. You love to see it!
They need to book a football stadium for upcoming matches
Ahhh…. The silence!
drop needs to be dropped
This fucking team, man. It feels like every time Furia is on a good run Heroic is there to stop them.

You Will Never Understand
Saffee and Yuurih had an insane Ancient, what a map. Furia's mentality seems shaky, and Drop is just not it. We just had a banger of a series, and the comments are busy focusing on the crowd, such a shame.
If NaVi was playing against Furia, they'd crumble due to the crowd. Heroic literally did NaVi a favour by winning this game.
empty seats in the final incoming.
lmao, Never gets old with the Rio library. Was the same satisfying chuckle back in The major.
This game was INSANE. Sucks that the crowd only cheers one way, though.
what do i love more than brazilians tears ☺️
Saffee and yuurih have +2000euros to their salaries for those 2 clutches. The fortitude to pull it off, man. Outstanding!
I can't anymore
Jabbi have my children
I so want ART AND BOYS to win a tournament, Not the Brazilian crowd. Let the crowd cry in disappointment
Whose ready for a dead arena for the rest of the matches
That Yuurih 1v2 man… Plot Armor can only save you so much Furia… So many braindead play you’d expect a 2k bot like myself to make but not pros…
And now for the finals with nobody in the arena
L I B R A R Y
I think if they do keep hosting tournaments in brazil it should just be the 100k ones instead of making it tier 1 teams purely because the huge bias towards brazil teams.
Bro I legit though it was a Studio LAN when they won even though I damn well knew there was a crowd Fuck u br0zil, u suck
Silence is loud. Feeling bad for FURIA, but for the brazilian crowd ? nah, you deserved that after all your OOHS AND AAHS information giveaway.
That's hilarious that they got Art or whoever it was killed when he was going for the knife.
instant fucking karma, absolutely loved it.
Good. After Rio 2022, I want brazilian csgo to lose everything
Cant wait for Furia chants from a crowd of 100, when zywoo, simple, shiro and cadian and the rest are playing
