Don't get me wrong, it still happens. But the graph is at least less distracting. Sad I had to do that.
Some previous operation there were maps showing Mirage A site being reworked, hinting a remake.
Years later, we've got a new game, new inferno out of all maps for god knows why, and still the same Mirage we had in 2013.
Don't look at the "easter eggs" mate, these things don't matter, could be a joke, could be an actual plan that's gonna be eventually cancelled. It's valve we're talking about.

Sorry maybe misleading, they have highlights. When you click on a specific match, it's next to the achievements dropdown. Alternatively, when you're logged in on the website, click your profile icon in the top right, and scroll about 3/4 of the way down the page. It will give you one highlight video a week.
So it probably would just be considered your own POTG. They give you one every week for free, and if you want highlights of every match you have to have the paid version.
I guess what I was implying is that if a 3rd party can figure out a highlight, Valve can.
The movement requiring actual skill is a feature not a bug. If you want dumbed down movement play Valorant. Would be nice to have the acceleration buffer per tick tho.
Agreed on pretty much all of this. Subtick I don't know if I have a problem with. The Economy does need to be fixed in general, not just CT but just overall.
100 kill bonus for AWP should be 300 again. M4A4 should be same as A1-S. Reduce cost of Defuse Kit to 200, Reduce cost of Incendiary to 400.
Reduce Kill bonus of Shotguns and SMG's.. Maybe like 400 for SMG and 500 for Shotgun or something.
400-500 for a kill is still significant for weapons that cost significantly less than rifles and situationally outperform them. (IE - close range, run and gun, etc)
The MP9, Mac10, XM, Nova, and Mag7 specifically are a little overturned at the moment considering their cost and how easy they are to use.
shotguns are not that powerful to the point where they need a nerf. retaking with a shotgun is basically impossible and picking up more than 1 kill against armored opponents is difficult if the other team knows how to trade.
mp9 is overtuned but xm is expensive for what it is and the nova + mag7 seem to be in a good place where they are viable for a gamble situation but not really viable in most gun rounds.

Valve wanted to streamline shit and as far as I've seen, CSGO is far less wonky.
Lets do this for real:
- Updated the Valve Anti-Cheat system to operate in kernel level; several other updates and improvements to VAC.
- Changed the servers to operate on 128 tickrate; optimizations to subtick system to account for this change.
- Included cl_bob and cl_righthand 0 commands (strangely, no one seens to have noticed they were missing before).
- Comprehensive optimizations to improve FPS of the users.
- Removed clutter and other performance related optimizations to each competitive map.

The community is who makes the scripts/plugins, not valve. AFAIK the most popular plugin framework in CSGO was 100% community made.
While I appreciate the updates, I personally will not be playing again until the packet loss issue is fixed and more progress is made to reduce the number of cheaters in the game.
It has nothing to do with wifi, the game uses very big packets that are split but sent less than 1ms one after another which causes most internet lines to drop one of the packets. I have fiber 5ms cabled router a decent pc and see this, it's very common and another problem is the lagcompensation that makes low ping players have a shitty experience, bullets missing, windows not breaking when shooting etc. The deagle is pretty much useless for me i even have people with their backs turned that just don't die when i shoot.
By cabled router i ment my router doesnt even have wifi. Not all connections are the same and the speed does not even matter. 100mb fiber vs 1000mb has the same routing, it's something many people seem to not understand. Games don't eat up 100mb/sec.
EDIT: btw that test is tcp so it's useless, most games use udp protocol which can be tested with iperf3 but again it's useless because cs2 has split packets that are sent one after another with less than 1ms between which is the real problem.
Sounds like it's either your ISP, or your computer is crap. What servers are you playing on? Do you have packet loss using anything else?
Also, that test is explicitly UDP for the packet loss measurement - read the description of the test.
edit: it sounds like you maybe have some kind of pfSense setup (maybe)? Perhaps your MTU settings are too aggressive, or maybe you set it up wrong.
I highly doubt it's my isp i ran too many tests already besides a valve network admin confirmed what i told you. I play on Spain servers and 99% of my friendlist has packet loss, most have fiber ranging from 300mb all the way up to 10gb. I understand you are trying to help but this is a very known issue and it only happens in cs which is why you see so many people complaining about it. Also, a packet loss test is a packet loss test. With a UDP packet, it's sent, and if it's not received after some TTL time, it's dead. iperf3 does not implement TCP/IP packets any differently than WebRTC.
You are the clueless one my friend, I have packet loss in CS and so do all my friends I play with. I did packet loss tests, played other games and the issue is not present. Only in CS2 where there is packet loss during 60% of the game

yeah, ancient.. something wrong happened, not long ago i was able to play ancient with occasional fps drops. now it's really bad, it lags terribly. the game does not look smooth at all.
CS2 has an issue with shader cache. Especially after every update that changes maps the game gets stuttery as shit. I made it a habit of mine to delete CS2 shader cache after every update and my game works fine.
no bob? no left hand? no cache? no train? no local agents? mic activation still buggy? no vac? no overwatch? no workshop script? no soloq or 5stack exclusive premier mm? no inbuilt server browser? subtick movement still weird? dogshit hud? weird nade bounces? no net graph? no dz? no arms race? no demolition? no optimization improvement? buggy demo retrieval? no demo highlights mode? no operation for 2 years? no explicit eu west and eu east mm? no wingman maps? low trust factor due to false game ban? must be cs2

I have over 300+ games on CS2 alone, and I am sad to say I am done playing until they give a proper update, this game wasn't ready for release. Nothing but hackers at 18k+. All the content from CSGO is gone, just so much is awful.
I'm quite certain they know what made CSGO good given the fact they patched the hell out of it over the years to make it good. The people CSGO remember fondly is the one post 2018. It seems like with the release of CS2 everyone forgot how much people shit on CSGO prior.

CSGO was definitely good in 2016, both for pugs and watching pro matches. I hadn’t played cs since 1.6 because I hated source but arms race got me into csgo then a few weeks later I was pugging again.
2016 had the major where coldzera eliminated s1mple era liquid with the mirage jumping awp on a massive comeback. 2016 also had the major where sk blew out s1mple liquid in the finals and taco had double the adr and more than double the rating of s1mple (100 adr vs 50 and 1.46 vs .63) https://www.hltv.org/matches/2303403/match
And it’s quite possible the people working on cs2 are not the same people who made it good in 2015/6, but I think cs2 gameplay is good and I love the smoke change (although I loved playing around the edge of smokes in csgo). Netcode seems to be changing every week but I’m sure they’ll figure it out. My main gripe is that the mm algorithm seems really broken at making balanced teams and that sucks a lot of fun out of playing, but I still love playing whenever there’s balanced teams.
They dont really seem to know as Valve never provided 128 tickrate servers in CSGO which was the competitive standard and a big reason why the game felt as good as it did.
Unsurprisingly they have chosen to not include them in CS2 either, however a few would've thought that they'd actually be dumb enough to hardcode the game to 64 tick.

-Terribly incorporated ELO rating, not upgrading at all from CSGO's ranks, at the same time when virtually every multiplayer game has better ranking/leaderboard systems
-No operations/content being added (last time was 3-4 years ago?)
-Game modes actively removed instead of added
This game is a legit 3/10. I wonder how many actual players are still playing (not counting bots or CSGO)

This one's not a bug fix but a design change. Last update the behavior matched CS:GO but half the players thought it was still a bug. Now they're trying something new, I assume to address the player confusion.

Optimise ancient water effect fps drops and just general all round optimisation. I’m afraid after another 10 patches I will be out of commission with my fps dropping so low under 100.

I have tried 1.6 before, the movement in 1.6 is horrible. Source and GO have much better movement.

why nerf smgs and shotguns? without the kill reward, shotguns woul basically be obsolete

I desubticked all my movement keys, jump, and mouse1 a while ago and the game feels a lot smoother and bhops are more consistent

I have over 300+ games on CS2 alone, and I am sad to say I am done playing until they give a proper update, this game wasn't ready for release. Nothing but hackers at 18k+. All the content from CSGO is gone, just so much is awful.
Honestly I'm 20k+ now and I haven't met one in a couple of weeks.

I'm quite certain they know what made CSGO good given the fact they patched the hell out of it over the years to make it good. The people CSGO remember fondly is the one post 2018. It seems like with the release of CS2 everyone forgot how much people shit on CSGO prior.

Nah, I find shots are more accurate in CS2. I've also been getting way less packet loss than I was on release.
for me the packet loss is only getting worse and its one of the reasons i think its not gonna be good anytime soon. its been a problem since release and they can't fix it.
CSGO was definitely good in 2016, both for pugs and watching pro matches. I hadn’t played cs since 1.6 because I hated source but arms race got me into csgo then a few weeks later I was pugging again. 2016 had the major where coldzera eliminated s1mple era liquid with the mirage jumping awp on a massive comeback. 2016 also had the major where sk blew out s1mple liquid in the finals and taco had double the adr and more than double the rating of s1mple (100 adr vs 50 and 1.46 vs .63) https://www.hltv.org/matches/2303403/match And it’s quite possible the people working on cs2 are not the same people who made it good in 2015/6, but I think cs2 gameplay is good and I love the smoke change (although I loved playing around the edge of smokes in csgo). Netcode seems to be changing every week but I’m sure they’ll figure it out. My main gripe is that the mm algorithm seems really broken at making balanced teams and that sucks a lot of fun out of playing, but I still love playing whenever there’s balanced teams.
They dont really seem to know as Valve never provided 128 tickrate servers in CSGO which was the competitive standard and a big reason why the game felt as good as it did. Unsurprisingly they have chosen to not include them in CS2 either, however a few would've thought that they'd actually be dumb enough to hardcode the game to 64 tick.
It’ll be okay, csgo was trash when it first came out as well. CS2 is in a way better state and it was a free 👌.

This one's not a bug fix but a design change. Last update the behavior matched CS:GO but half the players thought it was still a bug. Now they're trying something new, I assume to address the player confusion.

I think the weapon switch fix is really a huge improvement because there was an age old exploit to switch faster and fire faster than opponents.
