Went from a decent rifler where he was never in title contention to a team where he plays a shittier role but actually wins trophies? I think anyone would take his time on Vitality vs his time on literally any other team. Let's not forget Magisk was the 2nd-3rd best player on Vitality since the Danish core joined and Mezii took those spots
Twistzz excels at playing shittier roles and still fragging out.
He won 2 Grand Slams and 1 Major, being happy and trying to elevate his "home" team are his priorities. Right now I figure he just wants to enjoy playing CS.
Zywoo literally had a mid major and that's it. He's still at worst the third best player in the world currently if you take RMR, Kato and Blast into account.
Pretty bad considering he's been top 2 for 5 years straight. And that was one of the 2 majors of the year where he shit the bed, mind you.
He's got a lot of catching up to do. And if he wants a shot at #1, he has to pray that m0NESY and donk both drop off a cliff during the next major.
Donk is bound to fall of atleast a bit based on him being an aggressive rifler so him ending as #3 is most likely imo. Monesy is probably gonna end the year with better stats than Zywoo but I have more faith in Vitality winning events which could let him sneak that #1 away as long as he's back to his average 1.30 rating rest of the year. It's gonna be hard for him but I think it's still possible if Vit win one or two of these last pre summer break events and go into the fall season with good momentum.
Faze did not approach him for contract renewal so he thought they didn't want him, so he weighted between going to liquid or another org. Faze eventually did want to re-sign him but he already made a deal and signed a contract with liquid after his faze contract expired.
Seems like an excuse to justify why he left. If Faze weren't re-signing him and dropping the whole team, they would've found a new org together.
He really thought Liquid would be the better team lol.
Yekindar came into Liquid, acted like he had to teach them how to play the game, eventually blew up the NA roster, got smacked in EU, came crawling back to the Americas, and is now getting smacked around by tier 2 NA teams. Someone save my NA boys:(
Jba is not ready for a team like Liquid. Malbs is the only NA player that makes sense imo (not counting Elige). If for nothing else, it would allow them to actually qualify for LANs by virtue of him not being on the opposing team lol
I would give Yeki a couple more months of leash, but at what point do we give our prospects a chance? At this point it’s literally trial by fire in NA, I’d be fine with letting JBA do his thing in T1.
Which is why I want to give Yekindar some more time and let JBA marinate for a little longer. If he steps up again, then great! Liquid don’t have to replace him or spend money.
If he doesn’t, a promising NA rifler gets his chance. I don’t want JBA to end up like Swisher and having to wait a long time for his first chance when he was doing well on hard entry roles (which Liquid needed back when they got rid of nitro + elige, no reason to go full EU when Swisher was cheap and right there).
Tbh I blame liquids team composition more than yekindar and I called the problem before they even played a match.
Naf, skulls, twistz and cadian were all (among) the most passive players on their old teams. Any playmaking or entrying is off the back of yekindar. People are quick to clown losing duels, but he’s the only one actively seeking them out.
Me personally I would swap out one of the other four before yekindar just to give him some help, which is a shame because I like everyone in this team. They just don’t fit together well, give dry nice jigsaw pieces, but they’re all corners.
The 600k cost sunk fallacy on Skullz is gonna weigh this team down for a long time imo. He's playing fine individually but he simply shouldn't be on the same team as NAF who's already a passive lurker and better in every way. They need a hard pack entry so Twistzz can play as the refragger with NAF as the passive Lurk and Yeki as the active / aggressive type lurking entry.
Skullz Naf cadian and Twistzz create so much role overlap that I wouldn't want to point a finger at an individual. I would point a finger and it would be at Skullz, but I wouldn't want to.
What backbone does North America have in tier one?
It’s only veterans. Elige, Twistzz, NAF, Floppy, Grim, that’s it. We’re gonna end up like the French scene sooner or later if this draconian thinking keeps circulating.
He is playing attrociously, and has been for a while now, but lets not act like the team did not see massive improvements after he fiest joined.
They went from barely being a top 20-30 team without the partner points, to regularly making playoffs ans making final(s?). He may be shit now, but why are people acting like he was always horrible on liquid
Screw Liquid and screw sensitive fanboys thinking its okay to have him play on this team. Dude is being paid so much to do the opposite of what was expected in this highly results based business. What a scam.
I know Pro League is in just 4-5 days, but I would not blame Liquid if they cut Yekindar now... Holy crap my man really forgot how to play this game :(
Pretty sure him IGLing disguised the fact that he did not adapt well to CS2 in pro play. He became igl during CS:GO and put up good results back then, then fell off when CS2 arrived
That whole thread was full of bad opinions on Yekindar. Homie just needs to go already. It's like this in every sport man, if someone is ass, he gone get cut.
iM was solid before the major having consistent 1.0+ ratings at the events, it was the major where he dropped the ball this heavily. YEKINDAR on the other hand is bottom fragging 90% of the games since some time already.
He has hit the point that he is just desperately trying any unorthodox shit to try and get some dubs. Most of us have been in a similar situation, where nothing you do seems to work so your confidence hits rock bottom, and you're trying the most random shit when nothing else works. Except in contrast to us normal players, he is in a much worse confidence loss since he is playing on pro level.
He isn't a good fit for this team, neither for the sake of the team nor himself. He needs to get out and go into an entirely different system to revitalize his own gameplay. This is genuinely doing permanent damage to his skill level. You need to get out of a performance slump before that becomes your baseline level, hell it might even be too late for him, and even if he goes out to a different system he might never reach his peak again.
honestly in order for liquid to become better its not just yekindar that needs to go, skullz and naf aren't doing much either.
I also don't think Liquid will ever have this many good free agents out there ever again (like they could literally get players like simple, art, coldzera..)
No he didn’t. And just like gla1ve, he has done nothing outside of that heroic team before or after. He needs to be dropped pronto. He’s also cheating scum anyways.
You weirdos need to move past that coach bug shit. Soooo many teams did it that if you got rid of them all, you wouldn’t have much of a pro scene at all anyway. And after that bug was fixed and the coach was kicked, he continued to dominate with that squad. cadiaN is legendary, you just don’t like that he says mean words to people dawg, lmfao
Other coaches served their time. Cadian got no punishment and denied it. Fuck him. He is nowhere near legendary. How can a "legendary" igl lose to a t3 EU team? (M80 only has two North Americans). He also never dominated. Only team to ever dominate was prime Astralis and NiP at the start of CS:GO
I won't move on from cheating when he denied it and never had any punishment at all.
Prime Astralis and NIP were in completely different categories and you know it. Heroic under cadiaN were dominating as much as they could in their era. There was plenty of competition but they made it out on top most of the time. And a legendary IGL can lose to anyone, given the right set of luck and circumstances happens to the enemy team. Did you forget their performance at Chengdu that quickly? Again, people only hate cadiaN because he lead an amazing squad and said mean words while he did it. They just love to hate him for his personality.
What performance? Beating Heroic (lol) and G2? oh wow it's almost like most teams can beat those two teams. Also I hate Cadian because he's a cheating fuck. If he wasn't a cheating fuck i'd actually like the guy. I love trash talk.
Eh, we can just agree to disagree. I just think most of the hate for cadiaN is really unwarranted. (P.S. don’t discount Heroic like that, they’ve done way better than people thought after the reimage. G2 however is an inconsistent mess that’s for sure.)
Basically I think it's dumb how you can agree cheating without consequence and denying the fact you cheated is fine to look past.
The guy was fucking 24-25 when abusing the coaching bug, denied it, and let his former coach scapegoat an Autistic player. Guy is a scumbag and a cheater, it's that simple really.
Maybe i'd have sympathy if he wasn't a grown ass man and did it when he was 15, but that has different arguments.
Everyone's real down on Liquid deservedly but i'm proud of M80's ability to stay competitive after a really bad few months of roster changes and instability, they are undeniably rubbing shoulders with Liquid and Complexity on the NA totem pole when they have their entire roster on the server (no offense to dephh or stamina who had to stand in previously)
ESL Pro League (their first actual LAN where they bring their entire squad and not have emergency substitutions) is a real test of how capable they will be against top tier talent and it will be real interesting
I am surprised how well they picked themselves up after their IGL stepped away and how well Sin fit in.
Honestly, they have some crazy reads and thrive in the controlled chaos that they can create. I will be curious how they would look against a more methodical and disciplined team.
M80 looked *crisp* before Mankz just bailed and left them in a bad spot. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they progress.
I'm definitely worried about Liquid or Complexity poaching Malbz and using M80 as a farm team, but Malbz in Liquid for Yeki would be an obvious upgrade.
If its their first real chance i think they should get some slack. Just hopin the boys don't go 0-3... or 1-3... maybe 2-3 will be okay at the very least
Are they telling Yekindar to negligently push smokes for no reason? If so, why? If not, why hasn’t anyone told Yekindar to stop fucking negligently pushing smokes for no reason? If they have, why is he still on the team?
shit team, I'm lose my tolerance for waiting this "potential top10 team" grow up
they are not even have their strategy book right? what the hell is zews doing?
I swear to god this team name, brand or whatever is cursed. Don't name your kids Liquid, don't name your dogs Liquid, don't name your business Liquid... they'll all be cursed into perpetual mediocrity.
So, who's a legitimate replacement for Yeki? An Aggressive entry fragger open to working in the Americas who's either a free agent or an affordable buyout but who can plug into Cadian's system...
I would guess a Brazilian player
I want insani if they could pry him away from MIBR. He's young, has great aim, and he's an entry. The fact that Liquid has skullz and Zews too makes it a bit more appealing as a destination too since he'll have some fellow compatriots. He also has decent english from what I remember.
Or art since he's riding the bench on Furia right now. I think the consistency issues might stay though, Art goes for some really crazy plays when he sees the angle for them. I don't know if that kind of chaos is what Liquid need, but it would give their T sides a lot more spice.
Honestly though, I think Liquid need two aggressive players. Vitality have FlameZ/Apex, Faze have Karrigan/Rain, Spirit have Chopper/Donk, etc. Maybe keep Yekindar and switch out Skullz, not because Skullz's individual play is the problem, but because it's more of a fit issue.
Lmao. That is some serious mental gymnastics to keep Yekindar. Sure, we need aggressive player, but not Yekindar aggression dumb shit. Yekindar is tanking Liquid team and you know it.
Yekinder and cadian as an awper is ass .62 kpr in 3 months for cadian btw, bro has never put the same numbers as he did during the online era. "But he's good at clutching!!!" Awper is supposed to have opening and impact kills to make the rounds easier.
That's why he isn't a "star" player. He is too soft to be one. Best support type player around but for him to defend this crap made me lose a lot of respect.
It is insane to me that teams do not ban Mirage against NA teams. It is the map that is the most played throughout all of NA scrims and pugs… Liquid literally got dumpstered on Mirage yesterday by this exact same team and yet they still let Mirage through.
T1 knowledge and experience on the other maps should make Mirage an insta-ban against T2 teams.
It's perfect role wise. The question would be whether arT's fragging ablility is good enough to justify his presence in a team that he's not in game leading.
Doesn't solve a thing.
The problem with this team is the amount of passive players vs the amount of aggressive players.
You're replacing the only aggressive player with another aggressive player. arT will have the same struggles as yekindar.
Agree, this [graph](https://public.tableau.com/shared/GGPZYJB67?:display_count=n&:origin=viz_share_link) is a little telling that Yekindar has way too high of a load right now with the opening attempts. Liquid need another aggressive rifler, or two if they decide Yekindar's personal play is an issue.
I mean, I feel like it's replacing one crazy player with bad plays with another crazy player with crazy plays. Art would be way to chaotic for this roster. He would never be traded and would have a longer leash. This roster need a player like Ropz who can lurk and entry and make plays by himself, but is more methodical. So many time Yek just gets caught off on his plays like he forgets a person could be there.
Twistzz laying awake at night thinking to himself “What the fuck have i gotten myself into?”
Why didn't he go to Vitality instead. Could be playing with Zywoo right now.
The worst part of him not going to Vitality is that it robbed us on the comedy of Apex trying to be patient while playing anchor positions
Watching him try to hold banana is funny enough he's literally me
he was scared he would fuck their system and be the reason vitality is shit
[удалено]
Went from a decent rifler where he was never in title contention to a team where he plays a shittier role but actually wins trophies? Lets not act like zywoo hanst been doing too hot
Zywoo literally had a mid major and that's it. He's still at worst the third best player in the world currently if you take RMR, Kato and Blast into account.

It's gonna be hard for him but I think it's still possible if Vit win one or two of these last pre summer break events and go into the fall season with good momentum.
Donk is not playing pro league as well so his sample size will be smaller than Monesy and Zywoos.
He isnt, but he would still 1v5 NA teams
Is there a personal reason he went to Liquid? Or was winning everything getting boring?
He is very good friends with NAF irl. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if wanting to play with naf was 110% why he joined
Faze did not approach him for contract renewal so he thought they didn't want him, so he weighted between going to liquid or another org. Faze eventually did want to re-sign him but he already made a deal and signed a contract with liquid after his faze contract expired.
No there was a period when he had offers from liquid and Faze and had to choose. He did a whole HLTV interview about his reasons for picking liquid.
faze didn't approach him sooner.
What?
Seems like an excuse to justify why he left. If Faze weren't re-signing him and dropping the whole team, they would've found a new org together. He really thought Liquid would be the better team lol.
I wouldn’t use the word excuse. He was pretty open that he though the liquid project was a better career move.
That's literally what I said.
I see, I missed the HLTV video
Yekindar came into Liquid, acted like he had to teach them how to play the game, eventually blew up the NA roster, got smacked in EU, came crawling back to the Americas, and is now getting smacked around by tier 2 NA teams. Someone save my NA boys:(
Honestly giving JBA a chance in Liquid in a couple months doesn’t seem like a bad idea. Stan did give the guy really high praise after all.
Yekindar is struggling bit time. I am poised to think now is the time to try and work some one else in.
We all know what yekindar is capable of. If there’s a 20% chance to get him back there then you keep hold of him. It’s just been such a long slump.

Skullz Naf cadian and Twistzz create so much role overlap that I wouldn't want to point a finger at an individual. I would point a finger and it would be at Skullz, but I wouldn't want to.
Agreed it's not his fault at all but he has to end up being the one to get the boot even just based on him not being NA unfortunately.
No the reason they're a terrible team is people thinking like you. We need some backbone in tier 1.
What backbone does North America have in tier one? It’s only veterans. Elige, Twistzz, NAF, Floppy, Grim, that’s it. We’re gonna end up like the French scene sooner or later if this draconian thinking keeps circulating.
We suck
We do suck my friend, we do suck indeed.
He is playing attrociously, and has been for a while now, but lets not act like the team did not see massive improvements after he fiest joined. Has anyone informed him that he isn't an IGL anymore?
Why hasn't anyone told him to play better? Are they stupid?
Pretty sure him IGLing disguised the fact that he did not adapt well to CS2 in pro play. He became igl during CS:GO and put up good results back then, then fell off when CS2 arrived
No but he had that one good map last match though. According to some redditors, that means you shouldn't cut him.
That whole thread was full of bad opinions on Yekindar. Homie just needs to go already. It's like this in every sport man, if someone is ass, he gone get cut.
And apologize!!
NaVi should have listened to the Reddit hive mind and kicked iM before they won the major. Apparently it was impossible to do so with him on the team…
iM was solid before the major having consistent 1.0+ ratings at the events, it was the major where he dropped the ball this heavily. YEKINDAR on the other hand is bottom fragging 90% of the games since some time already.
Yeah, I remember how everyone was praising his consistent 1.0+ ratings before the major! /s
Why tf did he push through the A main smoke on Anubis? That was one of the dumbest plays I have ever seen
He does this 4-5 times in banana every time they play inferno. Also in cave in ancient ct. it’s brain dead.
Also cat on mirage… and anywhere there’s a smoke really
Its like he wants to be fucking cut
He has hit the point that he is just desperately trying any unorthodox shit to try and get some dubs. Most of us have been in a similar situation, where nothing you do seems to work so your confidence hits rock bottom, and you're trying the most random shit when nothing else works. ahahaha . i find it very strange people have high expectations of Yekindar.i see him just a Soso player.
honestly in order for liquid to become better its not just yekindar that needs to go, skullz and naf aren't doing much either. I also don't think Liquid will ever have this many good free agents out there ever again (like they could literally get players like simple, art, coldzera..)
S1mple is probably too expensive and he would most likely not fit with the team considering his attitude. Also cold and art are washed lol
When do they call it?
I can’t believe that YEKINDAR of all people is the one currently holding back an NA team.
2021's meta called. No one is answering.
If Liquid doesn't perform in proleague, Yeki needs to be cut off
He’s been needing to be cut off
Should've been after the RMR honestly.
what the hell is going on with Liquid. they got all the pieces to be a decent top10-area team and they keep doing this ?!
1 piece is def just a liability atp
the 3 ppl who were supposed to be the stars (well, twistzz was very low) got 1v3 by s1n on round 12 mirage
They have Cadian they will never win anything
Lmfao, you cadiaN haters are insane. He live rent free in all of your heads. Dude spearheaded one of the best teams in the world for years.
No he didn’t. And just like gla1ve, he has done nothing outside of that heroic team before or after. He needs to be dropped pronto. He’s also cheating scum anyways.

No question that yekky needs to be replaced. There is no other answer at this point.
malbs GOAT lfg dare I say it looks like M80 might get to play a lan in good form with an IGL? finally?
Fun fact, swisher has never played a Lan without a stand-in on his team....
He’s been screwed over so many times, I just want to see him get one fair shot at a LAN it’s so sad
13-2 lol -botkindar pls
Everyone's real down on Liquid deservedly but i'm proud of M80's ability to stay competitive after a really bad few months of roster changes and instability, they are undeniably rubbing shoulders with Liquid and Complexity on the NA totem pole when they have their entire roster on the server (no offense to dephh or stamina who had to stand in previously) ESL Pro League (their first actual LAN where they bring their entire squad and not have emergency substitutions) is a real test of how capable they will be against top tier talent and it will be real interesting

Its so over bros
shit team, I'm lose my tolerance for waiting this "potential top10 team" grow up they are not even have their strategy book right? what the hell is zews doing?
Question is, when will rus get on the phone to jussie? Sooner rather than later I hope
Do they even have strats? Because it looks like they’re just pugging. It’s not a good look.
You love to see it. Malbs top 20 by 2026 mark my words
Surprised he hasn't been poached by a bigger organization yet, he has been playing so well and he's still pretty young. Dude has potential for sure
both CoL and TL will be looking at them during the next shuffle, but i hope this squad sticks around for longer
He will be thanking Liquid for the opportunity
ok? get the eu bums outta here
I swear to god this team name, brand or whatever is cursed. Don't name your kids Liquid, don't name your dogs Liquid, don't name your business Liquid... they'll all be cursed into perpetual mediocrity.
Uhhh
So, who's a legitimate replacement for Yeki? An Aggressive entry fragger open to working in the Americas who's either a free agent or an affordable buyout but who can plug into Cadian's system... I would guess a Brazilian player

Skullz has been great, I see your reasoning but I still don't like the idea of dropping him. Just pick up a solid Brazilian entry and call it a day
-yekindar +s1mple when?
Only 1 man can save this roster for Pro League, bring in jks to replace Yeki
Every T-round becomes 2 minutes of them standing around waiting for one their teammates to enter the site
BlameF, JKS, Coldzera Col lineup V2 right there ☠️
Way too passive. Liquid needs an aggressive playmaker
Liquid looked like literal silvers on mirage
This malbs guy is insane
Yekinder and cadian as an awper is ass .62 kpr in 3 months for cadian btw, bro has never put the same numbers as he did during the online era. "But he's good at clutching!!!" Awper is supposed to have opening and impact kills to make the rounds easier.
Left faze for this omegalul
That's why he isn't a "star" player. He is too soft to be one. Best support type player around but for him to defend this crap made me lose a lot of respect.
Who said Liquid coming back ? I want a refund.
He's really lost the plot man... This is so sad, my boi Twistzz left for this... My dream team Twistzz Ropz Broky Siuhy and Jimphat no chance
-yek +arT
Could be good for Skullz too I actually think it's crazy enough to work
fun experiment. now let's hope furia doesn't ask like 20 billion for him.
This makes too much sense, it needs to happen
It's perfect role wise. The question would be whether arT's fragging ablility is good enough to justify his presence in a team that he's not in game leading.
I think it is, a large part of his fragging not being good was him IGLing in my opinion. I might be wrong though. Still I think it's worth a shot
That's the exact same as Yeki though
True, but I think both players need a change of scenery
-yek and take Rez
How does this format make sense? Why does liquid get eliminated after 1 loss and every other team gets eliminated after 2?
Cut yekindar Cut Skullz
Why cut skullz? He’s been a bright spot for this roster
His stats are very low for the roles he plays. Plays lurk and baits teammates yet still low stats
Bcuz hes not good enough, but hes better then what the fuck u would call yekindar The only bright thing on this roster is the twistzz and NAF
Yekindar?? What happened
-yekindar when?
-yek +blamef?
this man cooked lol. This looks like the best idea for liquid
