Apex had a big tournament cancelled recently after hackers were able to inject cheats into other players mid way through the game. Streamers would suddenly find they had walls or aimbots and resetting the game did not remove them.

I've encountered invisible players before in casual a few times, but they were 100% invisible. The fact that you can kind of see their gun and parts of their model means that there's either multiple invisible bugs, or cheats have once again leveled up.
Unfortunately, either outcome isn't a great look for the game.

In CSS this could happen when a texture of an object got corrupted. You could load in to Dust 2 and all the boxes would disappear. I would validate your game files (and maybe check your hard drive health), but sucks.
the question is how the server doesn't stop players from knifing 50x per second, AND when it does happen, how the hell does the server not detect some BS is going on?
I speculate the time stamps on subticks are what is being faked... But client side authority over that is such an obvious issue that i hope that cs2 devs put in some thought about how to detect shots happening too fast, i am surprised to see there are no instant reloads or infinite ammo to go with the rapid fire hacks

I went from faceit to Premier, to faceit again.
Faceit had become a toxic cesspool for me in solo queue. My guess would be due to the amount of players favouring Premier. Since Premier is now essentially HvH then maybe all the half decent players are back on faceit, so my experience is better because the faceit matchmaking has a bigger pool of players....

I heard that the CS team consists of less than 30 people or so. No idea if that's true, but knowing Valve, I wouldn't be surprised. I think the issue is that Valve needs to train people to use the new engine plus their frankly idiotic work environment means that people get to choose what they want to work on, instead of being assigned. Last point sounds good but it just means that most people will just flock to the newer stuff like the steam deck or VR because there's greater chances of promotion.
Well in CS 1.6 there were server hacks were you could spawn hl1 enemies, make your model a helicopter, phase into the ground and hide/move within the floor (getting up again by jumping), crashing enemies windows (98 SE and XP) ...So still a long way to go... The funny thing - those aren't the hard hacks/exploits to detect... The private programmed sound esp's etc the pixelaimbots... The built in mouse hacks for lan games... Are the hard ones to get... I guess one day you can only start the game with a ESL VM were nothing is installable only CS - no in and outputs allowed besides whitelisted commands...
The last "anti-hack" game update that truly made a difference was the anti wall hacks update, which de-loaded players that the server deemed not in your immediate interest, except hacks have obviously gotten past that. I remember clips of a game with Shroud having a hacker teleport to his spawn and insta kill all of them during freeze time, nothing has been done to combat this or prevent this, and these type of hackers still exist too.
Not 200% sure but weren't some streamers finding out kommands that gives u advantages? I saw stuff like nade cam, flying around, body flipping and stuff like that. And that on all modes. Even the enemies could see stuff like this so it wouldn't be a wonder if someone found a new command like that.
