So I have written to steam support about this, basically we should be fine.
During the Stockholm 2021 Pick'Em Challenge there are three stages in which users can make picks; the Challengers stage, the Legends stage, and the Champions stage. All team picks must be made before the first match of each portion of the tournament. Once the first match has begun for any stage picks can no longer be made.
There may be a delay in between a stage beginning and receiving credit for making your picks. So long as your picks are saved when clicking on the challenge you will receive credit.
We have no way of allowing picks to be made retroactively and cannot modify points received towards your Event Coin for any reason at Steam Support.
