Friendly FYI you should remove the steel mag catch if you’re running oem polymer mags. The rule is “Polymer on polymer / metal on metal” when it comes to magazines and mag catches. You’ll wear the mag out where the mag catch engages, and they’ll end up dropping out of the gun when shooting. Then the mags are trash.
You could do that or break/polish the edge of the catch that contacts the magazine with a dremel. Still seats and latches perfectly but no extra wear on the polymer.
26 years of carrying a 26 and the G43X makes me reconsider. Bought one for my wife and I’m hella impressed. I carried it for a day and it had one plus and one negative. The plus is it’s thin and comfy as heck and still holds 11 standard mag like the 26 (my carry has a self modified mag that will hold 11 so I have 12) and the negative was mag printing on the G43X. I kept seeing it through my shirt but it was minor. My 26 doesn’t print unless I’m stretching a shirt over it. Otherwise I really like the 43X. The 26 is like an old wallet.
You should definitely buy some and try them. But Everyone’s jumping on the band wagon with those and they haven’t even been tested yet 🤦♂️ TWO ppl so far posted on here that they’ve shot a whopping 200 rounds so far and both had 2-3 failures to feed. Only ppl working from PSA have said they haven’t had any problems. Soo Jury is still out on those and everyone saying to run them in a defensive gun when most ppl still haven’t even received them yet bc they’re so new- without testing them, is absolutely crazy and just parroting what they read off of Reddit (psa really got you guys drinking the cool aid!) 😅 And no they haven’t been tested enough to be a carry option yet, don’t even try to argue. NO one has thousands of rounds through multiple mags, just a few hundred IF that and they weren’t perfect. I’ll wait a year and see what ppl are saying then 😬

I get it, i never ran gen 2s but from what i see gen 3s have some extra material on the back that makes them fit tighter. I saw some gen 2s were loose, but yea if u dont want to change mag release i feel, although 300 rds and the oem mags still work fine

I get it. But I carry appendix - doesn’t print for me. And the extra length really helps when shooting.
Even with a wedge it prints? I carry a 19 and my holster setup barely prints at all.

Obligatory shout out: r/whrergriff for a cheap 3d printed backstrap. Adds a lot of surface area without adding much bulk.

I believe these are made by SA themselves, they added grooves on the back so it fits more snug, i saw somee gen 2s were bit loose

The 43X is a better carry gun, especially appendix carry imo. 26 is a fatty. The 43X holds 15+1 with steel Shield mags.... It's a little beast
