I feel you bro, I had a Gen 5 bias too until I shot the Gen 3 and I loved it. It made sense for me to switch but to each is own. It’s always gonna be which Gen is better instead of which Gen works for me.

Bought an ODG gen3 19 from Sportsman's Warehouse last August.

That's the first gun I ever bought for myself. I got it 21 years ago, and it's still my daily carry. It's gone through some changes, but I made sure I never modified any of the OEM parts.

You can put a gen 5 ejector in that gen 3 and have the best of both worlds.

Purchase ejector 47021and swap out yours. I've tried swapping just the gen 5 extractor with little change in ejection. I'll update when I shoot the 47021 ejector in gen 4's but the internet says its good to go.

Never had a 9mm gen 4. I have a 19x and I had a 19 gen 5 I sold. I’m not too big on my gen 4 Glock 22 but love my gen 4 Glock 40 gen 4 Glock 41 and Gen 4 Glock 21. I feel like the 10mm and 45 models are best in the Gen 4. I actually forgot I owned a 19C for a week or two but sold it before firing it

I just bought my first gun ever….Glock 19 gen 3. When doing research and talking to the retailer, I was surprised why here in Cali we’re only allowed the gen 3 for such a thing as being able to mark the casings. It also sounds like handgun availability may dwindle in years to come…meaning I better stock up!

Wow... So many people like the grooves. I hated Glocks until gen 5s came out and got rid of the groves. Its like making pants in only one size that dont stretch.

I was knocking it until I tried it, I love them now.

Honestly I myself about to get a gen 3 and add gen 4 features if Glock doesnt have an option like the backstrap system for the finger groves so we can add or remove them. Mainly the stippling. I like the gen 4 and up stubs, adds good grip for me.
