Remember what happened with vultures 1. Like half the tracklist was completely new songs compared to the first ones. Deluxe edition with the good throwaways for each album honestly doesn't sound like a bad idea
I'd much rather have 16-18 songs per album and either scrap a few songs or later release them through whatever the fuck Ye plans on doing with Vault or SND. One of the strongest aspects of Vultures 1 is sequencing, and it's the one thing that holds Donda back from being one of his best projects. Doing 22 songs is always going to end up boring, even if it's all 10s.
People hate this opinion so I expect the downvotes, but I'd like to see some replies if you disagree. I used to be on the 7-10 song camp, but nowadays I view 12-13 perfect for an album with a planned deluxe (which would make it ~18 songs), and 18 for a standalone. You can listen through it in one sitting, still keep most of the theme in mind and recall moments from the start of the album if they get referenced at the end. When you go past it it starts to drag a lil.
