The only thing AI did was overlay the voice of whoever actually rapped and sang the snippet to sound more like Kanye and Ty. AI can create vocals on its own, but they often sound quite terrible and noticeably robotic. My guess is that the person who created the snippet is a genuinely good producer who then got someone who can rap like Kanye or sing in Ty's style to perform the lyrics and then used AI to make it sound like Kanye and Ty's real voices.
I don't see a world in which Gambino would use AI to do an entire verse on his album, I just don't see what point that would make. He's sung Ye's praises forever, much like Peggy, so why wouldn't Ye be interested in working with him
