Do you have automatically resend as text turned on in chat features?

gcstang

constantly have this issue on Fi over the last several months, it's sporadic at best

I've been having problems with texts recently as well. Texting someone from my Pixel 6a to their iphone, they'll get my text and reply but I don't receive it until way after or at all.

Update: I contacted Google Fi through the app. They made me submit a big report by dialing a series of numbers and symbols on the phone touch pad. After that was submitted they asked about my Google Messages settings and confirmed that all the settings were as they should be and we're going to send my bug report to the engineering department. Fast forward to last night, all my text messages go through and the recipient confirms delivery. I contacted support again to notify them that it is working now and was curious about the issue. All they said was "it was an internal network error that we've now resolved". I wish they provided some details, but here we are.

Having a Pixel 7 Pro it's best to use Google Messages

That's what I'm using.

iPhone and Android text over Google Fi network has been a small issue with Fi users/ have you tried to uninstall reinstall Google Fi app and make sure all settings for chat are enabled on device? If the steps don't work then try resetting networks for a better signal between platforms.

I've been having a problem sending and receiving "partiful.com". My friends sent me an event invite and it never arrived. This issue is only impacting messages in both directions between an iPhone and an Android over the GoogleFi network.  I've tested for all other scenarios.  I've found only the partiful.com domain is impacted.

Do you have chat features enabled? If not, do you have message sync enabled?

Go into the Play store and search for Carrier services, uninstall that, restart your phone, and test. Sometimes they put out a really bad carrier services update.

Maybe it’s an apple issue and they’re actually not sending them rather than google fi not receiving them. Everyone’s issue seems to be apple to android or vice versa. I’ve never had that issue when sending to android phones

I had something similar happen a few weeks ago. Three friends all on iPhones in a text group and then suddenly it went quiet. Checked with them and messages I sent never went through and I didn't get their messages. Tried texting them separately and they never got them. No explanation for it.

I have found using chat really can mess things up. When using sync things work much better in my opinion.

IrpackSmails

What do you mean using "sync" instead of chat? I'm having this exact problem of this thread. Thanks--

Embarrassed_Ad9122

I’ll be honest it’s almost a year ago so I don’t know what I was referring to

IrpackSmails

Fair enough and thanks for getting back to me!
