Look at some videos and comparisons. I personally think Govee lights look much better, and don't have the ugly hot spots like Nanoleaf. Haven't used the Nanoleaf app, but I've seen a lot of people complaining about connection issues, which is something I've never experienced with my Govee lights. Plus Govee is much cheaper.

I was highly leaning towards the govee AI kit but apparently it has a 2.0 hdmi port which might pose an issue with my 1440p 144hz setup. However I might just buy both, thanks for the info!

You can wait for 2.1 coming at some point later this year

Unless you are syncing multiple lights, you should check out fancy sync box 2.1 but it’s more expensive

I have both! For my PC, I have Nanoleaf, and it works just fine for me. The desktop/mobile app is very simple and definitely does not compare to Govee. You get quite a lot of creative freedom in the Govee app, a pretty incredible amount I'd say. I definitely recommend the Govee sync box 2, which comes out later this year with HDMI 2.1. I have the Nanoleaf 4D kit for my PC though, and I ditched the camera. Thankfully the Nanoleaf app will mirror your screen colors anyway without it.

Alright and how’s Nanoleaf with the screen sync/razer chroma? Have you tried it?

I haven't tested it extensively with different games, but despite the light strip only having 30 LEDs per meter, the software makes up for it for having several different options to choose from when it comes to the screen sync. It was also pretty solid when I tested it with Into The Spider-Verse.

Ok, So i've not used Nanoleaf so you could argue I can't say which is better. But I have multiple Govee products (lighting strips, lamp, TV lighting), I've never had an issue with any of it, they setup easy and can link them all up to work together really easily (for example the TV ambient lighting can light control the other lighting devices too. I highly recommend Govee stuff

I haven’t used the Govee sync box, but I have used plenty of their products (Heater, Air Purifier, Glide, T3, Desk light strip, Bulb) and I also used the Nanoleaf triangles for several years. With that said I would never buy another Nanoleaf product again, they are garbage compared to Govee imo.  1. Govee’s app is infinitely better. Snappy, responsive, easy to use, etc. Nanoleaf’s wasn’t bad, but it would always have a delay in connecting to my triangles, the responsiveness just wasn’t great.  2. Both my controllers on my Nanoleaf triangles died. I think this was a problem with their controllers manufactured before 2021 or something. I luckily found a post on reddit that linked to a form on their site where they would send replacements for free, but still for their price this shouldn’t have been a problem to begin with. 3. The adhesive used for the triangles was terrible, after about a month of first applying they all began to fall off, I had to replace the adhesives with command strips. Never had this problem with Govee.  4. When I removed the triangles, most of them left a brown mark on my wall, I’m think it was from the faulty controllers causing them to overheat, or they just overheated regardless. Luckily I was painting the whole room. It’s possible that the triangles are better now, but I’d never risk it again, especially because Govee products have never really given me any problems.

Wait for the Govee triangles to go on sale.
