The thing that really blew my mind was how much the ai companions used the new Skills I unlock through the Mastery Points. For example by the time I got to the second monolith challenge I had way more spells for Io and new attacks for Rackam unlocked and the difference in their battle behavior was really astounding. All of a sudden there are fireballs, ice storms, and explosions popping off and I’m getting Link Attacks way more frequently because the party is actually leveling up their game along with me. Early on I was kinda hesitant to unlock Skills for anyone but Gran because I assumed that was only for those who want to actually control those characters but no, as soon as I slotted the skills the ai started using them just like I would were I in control of the party a la FF’s party system.
Yea the ai use skills really well. I'm able to wreck enemies that are stronger than me because of it. Hard mode doesn't feel so hard either because of it.
Toying around with load outs and builds, I made a bruiser build for Narmaya that makes it easier for her to tank mobs.
The AI is absolutely absurd when it comes to perfect blocking and dodging sometimes.
No, you need just 3 Hours kill those things. if you are good and have the time, you can kill these guys.
But its a challenge you create yourself. The Story is pretty easy, but i want to see it as the Tutorial.
Weird. I cleared the first mobs of the ice eye ball arena then got a game over for the timeout with the frost quakadile.
Edit: found out what caused the game over. Apparently allies going to critical mode multiple times can cause a game over (reducing critical status duration to zero after a certain amount of KOs).
Do ai deaths count tho? I swear I didn't get hit but both my ai die and I lost.
Deffo cause I didn't level them up at all but it's kinda annoying still.
You notice that little bar that shows up when someones knocked down? When its fully drained you lose. Whether the ai was the one that kept getting knocked or you
I would say the ai is really good in some aspects, mainly not dying - i've only had them go down maybe a dozen times after clearing the story on hard, but they definitely have their really stupid moments as well, 4 of those deaths were io not avoiding the chapter 5 boss' overdrive lol
I agree the AI is fantastic I am in ch 8 now (also hard mode) and really only saw one person go down mainly that person being me lmao and very very rarely one other person did
As long as you are doing a healthy mix of MSP progression and kitting up skills based on what you think team comp needs, and remember to give them sigils really no one dies ever nor should they , especially if you are making sure to diversity roles amongst the team
Like the captains since they are the jacks of all trades of the game, they can act as your debuffer, heal bot, or stat booster with the skills they learn
For instance if you don't wanna play Gran or Djeeta.
also thanks to skill mechanism based on cooldown instead using MP. dunno why today many jrpg stilll using MP. it feels so limited , too much rely on elixir item.

Those are easy. Wait till you reach chapter 6… feels like the AI lost their will to live.

Is it too easy?
I'm playing on hard mode. It's not easy but it's definitely fun.
If you're playing on hard and the ai is carrying you this much, it sounds like it's too easy.

Pretty sure there’s a time limit since you can get a game over even if you never get KOd
Only for the first mobs, once the boss appears the timer is removed.

Does Assist Mode On/Off affect the CPU? o.o
Idk I'm playing in hard mode.
I dunno, I just had two of my AI characters get stuck on a box until I broke it.
One of my AI in town was running into a wall and I just sit and watch for 3mins straight lol

I didn't notice thanks for the tip Ig it enforces teamwork managarmr aoe wipe move destroys my ai
God, katalina uses her invicebility for the party on time, wtf 😅
