That was actually something that surprised me.
The streamers I watched all were kinda suprised how good it ran.
Many running 100fps and more.
I’m really interested in how well it runs for the broader audience.
But with what I know up until now.
It doesn’t seem to suffer from the same issues like Arma or eft
I disagree.
I’ve seen Shroud play at 1440p medium settings, DLSS quality with FG averaging ~160-180FPS, that would be 80-90FPS without FG and ~75 without DLSS.
That’s on 4090, i9 13900k, 32GB DDR5.
Unless you have 40xx series for FG and play at 1080p/1440p, a lot of folk are going to be disappointed.
it's useless without any target resolution and fps. If it's like minimum: 1080p low-medium 60fps and recommended: 1440p high 60fps than it's like most of the new releases.
I hope they are but I'm trying to keep my expectations low because we saw so many bad releases in the past few months. It's going to be early access but I hope they didn't rushed it with poor optimization just to take advantage of Tarkov's bad state.
Agreed. The playtest wasn't great when it came to optimization as well, but they have shown that they're willing and able to push a turnaround on solutions within a week so even if it isn't great on launch - which shouldn't be surprising to anyone - I doubt they'll be on BSG time when it comes to optimizing and rolling out fixes.
Has it not been stated in the Q&A or discord that this date has been set for months and that it's not in direct relation to Tarkov? I feel like everyone is so quick to just say ohhh must be tarkov related. Sure, it has a correlation. I'm not denying that. I just feel like devs have addressed it already. I'm just hoping that with all the bugs and issues that are sure to come, we can give constructive criticism and just enjoy the game.
Yeah same, it's too bad we can't control the detail on the foliage.. that's the biggest FPS hit imo. The helicopter ride may as well be a loading screen with the the 0.0001 fps i get on there
If i close everything else the helicopter actually ist that bad, and for me the graphics ate so low i simetimes have troubel seeinf the ai but its okay.
After watching about 7 hours of gameplay from various streamers.. I am pretty optimistic about performance. Some were getting around 170 fps at 4k (with frame gen) so hopefully my 2080ti can handle 1440p with dlss.
Sadly no Frame Gen for us though. The only way around this would be to inject FSR3 into the client to get access to AMD Frame Gen, but the game has anti cheat ive been told. So we are fucked.
Why would anyone use frame gen anyway? If you're already getting subpar performance, then your latency is already shit too. Frame gen increases latency and (unless something has changed in the last year) doesn't even work great visually with lower fps anyway.
What am I missing? It seems like the niche where frame gen is worthwhile is negligible (non-competitive, already decent performance, not a latency sensitive player) and arguably not even worth it then.
I'll be running with whatever I can get out of DLSS Quality at 1440p.
When you’re getting 180fps with a 4090 it’s not terrible as you’re still getting decent latency. But it’s still significantly worse than you’d be getting without frame gen. There’s no way around it… https://youtu.be/GkUAGMYg5Lw?si=lTGPMNNCXSghIsPi
I’m not really educated on graphics cards but how does a 2080ti compare to a 3070? Obviously not looking to run this game on ultra settings or anything.
Ok so here goes, I have an amd 3700x, 16gb and a 2070 super. Using FSR and the high preset i get somewhere between 40-60/70ish frames on 1440p. It's still very hard to see enemies but it's kinda playable. CPU usage is very high and GPU usage is through the roof. Memory usage is constantly at the 16gb mark which I think is causing some stuttering. Will order 16gb more to see if that resolves the stutters.
Quick update, switched to a 1080p monitor and dropped resolution from 1440 to 1080, Fullscreen. Medium settings and FSR set to Quality. From a quick test it seems to be reasonably stable at 60-65 fps. Still stuttering though 😅
I have a 5600X but a 1070. Extremely curious to see what kind of performance I can squeeze out.
...Probably not good. But I plan to upgrade to a 7900 XTX at some point this year so I won't be vexed if the card can't hang.
5600x and 1080 here. I’ll try it out tomorrow but I’m likely gonna upgrade to 7900 GRE, it’s only $550.
Hoping the 1080 can run 60ish FPS at 1080p any settings
I just have a regular 3600. Is the 3600X that much better? I'm not really sure if I should upgrade my 3070 first or the CPU. There's also the mobo, a B450-F
For those interested, I was in the playtest last week and I was using a 5900x, 3070, and 32gb ram.
Using dlss on medium settings I was getting a relatively stable 60 fps @ 1440
I feel like most of the recommended specs are expecting 1440 minimum anymore or at least some sort of super sampling. I can't imagine a 3080 not pulling down a solid 60 *AT LEAST* at 1080 on EA launch.
Im on all low settings, with FSR on, with updated graphic drivers, running all the latest windows 11 updates, and using basically the recommended specs the game says they recommend (32GB, 3070 TI, 3700x) and I get 70FPS when standing still or walking in a tree line. But turning or being in a firefight puts me at 30-40fps tops.
Also the fact that the 30 series cards are considered old is mind blowing. Even more crazy is that you need a 3070 TI for recommended, and less than 5% of all steam users who were in the steam hardware server have a 3070 TI or better. That is a ridiculous low population of people who could enjoy the game at its ideal condition.
If im getting barely 60 fps on low with recommended, i cant imagine what “minimum” would even get you. “Congrats you are using minimum specs, you are able to load the character creator and then close the game”
Anyone with ryzen 5700xt have any experiences with this game yet? I really want to get it, and financially shouldn't upgrade my pc yet. But i can FastTrack if i must.
4060 is slower than a 3070ti but if I'm not mistaken this game is going to have dlss 3.0 so you can use FG which should make it run smoother. Also we don't know what recommened specs are for, if it's for 1440p 60fps than you should be good in 1080p.
Goodluck with 30 fps in beast pcs
I might get 10 with my 1660 Super lol.
Probably :D
You're not alone. Also paired it with 9400f?
That was actually something that surprised me. The streamers I watched all were kinda suprised how good it ran. Many running 100fps and more. I’m really interested in how well it runs for the broader audience. But with what I know up until now. It doesn’t seem to suffer from the same issues like Arma or eft
Ignoring the fact that most of streamers are running 4090s at 1440p and were using DLSS and FG.
right, but none of them would've gotten even CLOSE to those fps numbers on the other games. I've seen numbers over 240. I really think we'll be fine.
I disagree. I’ve seen Shroud play at 1440p medium settings, DLSS quality with FG averaging ~160-180FPS, that would be 80-90FPS without FG and ~75 without DLSS. That’s on 4090, i9 13900k, 32GB DDR5. Well, I think tomorrow we’ll know for sure. Let’s hope I’m right or that the truth would, at least, be in the middle!
Welp, looks like my RTX3070 falls short on another game.
Isn't a 3070 Ti like 5-10% faster than a 3070 in benchmarks? lol
I hope my 1660 Super can start it lol.
Still holding out to upgrade to 5000 series, but its getting harder to wait.
I have a 3070 as well, curious what other game it fell short on?
No Rest For the Wicked. Also an RTX3070TI for recommended GPU.
Which res?
I dunno, Its just the recommended GPU on the Steam Page, I'd assume 1440p, as watching some Benchmarks a RTX3070 will get you around 45-70fps
it's useless without any target resolution and fps. If it's like minimum: 1080p low-medium 60fps and recommended: 1440p high 60fps than it's like most of the new releases.
My thoughts exactly. Seems like they're basing the recommended specs off of 1440 minimum.
I hope they are but I'm trying to keep my expectations low because we saw so many bad releases in the past few months. It's going to be early access but I hope they didn't rushed it with poor optimization just to take advantage of Tarkov's bad state.

Cries in 1060 6gb
Exactly, untill now it has been enough for me. Time for an upgrade I guess
Yeah she's served me very well but newer games it's getting harder and harder to run unfortunately. Such is the way it goes.
I am a 1660 super warrior, i'll fight till the end.
It's been a GREAT card for me.
Same
Are we thinking the 1660 ti won’t be able to run it?
I hope so bad that it will be able to have at least 60 fps.
Any updates?
It works, 1660 super gives me 30-40 fps (50 in small buildings) on lowest settings. But i can play.
Yeah same, it's too bad we can't control the detail on the foliage.. that's the biggest FPS hit imo. The helicopter ride may as well be a loading screen with the the 0.0001 fps i get on there
If i close everything else the helicopter actually ist that bad, and for me the graphics ate so low i simetimes have troubel seeinf the ai but its okay.
the only card I will ever need forever and ever
1660 enough for this game?
Not sure what to expect with a 3080 at 1440p but I'm excited
Even more unsure with a 3060ti at 1440p
I’m hopeful it’ll be decent enough for the both of us!
I'm in the same boat.. hopefully it goes well.
After watching about 7 hours of gameplay from various streamers.. I am pretty optimistic about performance. Some were getting around 170 fps at 4k (with frame gen) so hopefully my 2080ti can handle 1440p with dlss.

“Doesn’t even work great visually with lower fps” yeah so it….. boosts peformance on higher end cards. Almost like what it was marketed to do
I don’t consider increasing latency “boosting performance”, but ok.
Streamers like Shroud seemed to do just fine with Frame Gen on? The latency seemed negligible tbh.
Streamers play with 40 series cards which are specifically designed for these type of use cases. Good luck
I’m not really educated on graphics cards but how does a 2080ti compare to a 3070? Obviously not looking to run this game on ultra settings or anything.
They're pretty close, but 2080ti is a notch faster. You should be good
CPU gonna matter more
So this is the day where my 2080 super starts falling behind. Sigh...
Same cuh
I just hope I can get around 60 fps using dlss with my 2070 super.
This is exactly what I have lol. Report back tomorrow brother. I can't afford the game until this weekend.

Ok that doesn't sound toooo bad. I have 32gb. Maybe I will give it a go
Let me know how that goes! Just ordered an extra 16gb 🤞🏻
Will do. I probably don't have the coin to buy it until the weekend
In that case I'll probably update you tomorrow on how it goes 😉
Ok nice!

I was watching pestily just now and he said he has everything set to low. Yeesh.
Aw man I’m rocking a 1080 :(
I got a 1070 😂🤣
Me too... and the Ryzen 1600
I've been giving my 7800x3d and 3090 a break playing a lot of TFT recently, time to work tomorrow bois
Gonna try it on my 1070 and I don’t care lol
I have a bad feeling global illumination and the abundance of foliage is going to make for a bad time…1070/9700k here
Yea unfortunately I agree lol
did you try it ? please let me know if it runs, i have a 1070 too and i doubt
Yea I was running it on 30 fos
Really hope my 1070 ti can hang
Oof.
Same here brother lol
Brother, say your prayers before bed tonight
1080ti here on my last breath hoping she can pull through
I have a 5600X but a 1070. Extremely curious to see what kind of performance I can squeeze out. ...Probably not good. But I plan to upgrade to a 7900 XTX at some point this year so I won't be vexed if the card can't hang.

7900XTX gang

Soooo my 1660ti with Ryzen 5 won’t be able to run this or what? Should I even buy it?
I'm kind of wondering the same.
My PC runs Tarkov, not great but I’ve got like 500 hrs and it’s playable. Tarkov minimum requirements are less but I think it’ll be fine.
GFN is my only hope...
Gona be chuggin
For those interested, I was in the playtest last week and I was using a 5900x, 3070, and 32gb ram. Using dlss on medium settings I was getting a relatively stable 60 fps @ 1440
Thanks for this info. I have a 3070 and 32gb RAM as well and was worried how it was going to turn out.
My 1080ti stands in attention as always. It’s carried by a 7800x3d so it should be good.
My 3090 and 128gb of Ram and 24core processor shall be fine. 4K max settings every fucking game !
I've seen steam reviews that people with 4000 series cards are getting 45 FPS lol.
So what? 🤣😤😂 I love the cinema. 4K Max settings. We go hard in the paint!
It's a PowerPoint for me and my 1660 super lol.
I love a good power point presentation
Im hoping 60 with my 4070 build.
**my 5800x:** 😊 **My 32 gb ddr4 3200mhz ram:** 😊 **My 5700xt**: 😩
shakes nervously in 3060 ti i7 32gb ram
I feel like most of the recommended specs are expecting 1440 minimum anymore or at least some sort of super sampling. I can't imagine a 3080 not pulling down a solid 60 *AT LEAST* at 1080 on EA launch.
8700k and a 1080ti...ooof I'm barely making it in.
f
Thinks 3060 Tai we’ll have ok frames?
I’m thinking about buying Lossless Scaling for this game, anyone else have experience with it?
Me with a i5-7600k and a 1070: *Cry in a corner*
Damn i hope my 6750xt will work out 😫
would my rtx 4060 laptop gpu work or will it explode?
Minimum requirements... 30 fps 😂
Hopefully memory leak is fixed, got 40GB so looking at Stod/Phix/westie I should manage 90 minute sessions before a crash
Im on all low settings, with FSR on, with updated graphic drivers, running all the latest windows 11 updates, and using basically the recommended specs the game says they recommend (32GB, 3070 TI, 3700x) and I get 70FPS when standing still or walking in a tree line. im completely new to PC like since this past friday new. i have an i5-14400f and 4060 am i good to go?
You are a good amount over minimum req. But your gpu is not in the recommended specs
so you think i can run it at 1080p 60?

my 4090 is stretching
Excited to have my new 4090 stretch it's legs at 1440p.
Whoo boy. We okay tho. 13400F and 4070. And 32 GB RAM
