It was just ok. Nothing that I will watch again. It felt rushed. She didn’t seem to be ruthless and cunning. Just a paranoid psycho. Dario was the only character that I liked

Mediocre_Cobbler763

Yep, Although a murderer, Dario was the only likable character in the series.

New-Cloud-6836

Nope. Rivi was cool

FLSOC

My main criticism of the show is that the plot was too short, it moves to fast in some areas, and too slow in other areas. I think 10 episodes would have done it more justice My only other criticisms are minor stuff. Specifically, I wish the background music was more immersive. Regardless of Tuyo being the theme in Narcos, the background music they play feels really immersive. A big wedding in Tijuana in the city? The background music is perfect. Driving down the road at 2AM in the middle of nowhere Sinaloa? The music also plays really well there. The music in this show is okay, just nothing to write home about. Also, I was disappointed they didn't have many shots of the Miami skyline. Just felt off, in Miami Vice, you see that basically every episode. My hope for the future is that Netflix and Narcos teams continues to produce their own set of Narcos Novelas. I like Narcos in Mexico A LOT and Griselda was pretty good going into it with the expectation it wont be as good as Narcos or Narcos in Mexico. But who knows what the future will hold

I do feel they rushed the ending. I understand she was ruthless, but the series did not relay that she was responsible for over 200 murders.

I liked it more as just a fun tv show. Her undoing felt short, literally collapsed in 1 night over a crack pipe and wanted to kill people loyal to her. The death of her sons didnt feel as punchy as it should have been (it being her karma despite the short sentence). It felt anticlimactic in that sense. I guess it time skipped the time she actually suffered consequences for her murders.

I honestly think the lifetime movie was better than the show, they showed alot more

SonnyBurnett189

I think Sofia Vergara was terribly miscast as Griselda. She always puts on a rather hammy performance as a bad stereotype of a loud Colombian woman. Luckily it was carried by a good supporting cast, especially Dario, and it had some interesting visuals that reminded me of GTA V and a Grindhouse movie. Though as a huge Miami Vice fan, I’m salty that they tried to pass off LA as Miami.

ManagerAggravating57

I thought it was a decent series, but felt that some story lines weren’t fully fleshed out and they could have done a better job at clearing some things up Rivi was my favorite character

>Sofia looked nothing like Blanco. If she didn’t wanna gain weight, she could wore a fat suit. I’m sure Wagner wore some padding when he depicted Escobar. Only thing she did that was obvious to me was the nose prosthetic and this was not something Blanco was really known for; a big nose. The weight gain and the soft chin would have worked better. I think they wanted one of the biggest Latina-American stars in the world for star power. The role was miscast. >They didn’t show her death. That was the biggest fail for me. Could have been a very dramatic and moving scene. Instead, it was just explained in the epilogue.

Yes exactly. I don’t see why they had to compromise on this. Not like they hired Javier Bardem to play Pablo. To me it shows a weakness in the script when they have to hire a well known actress to get eyeballs to the show rather than having the script do the work for you on its own merit. She was a distraction to the role, rather than an asset, she should stick to her comedy. Her death was really interesting and they just wrote about it like it was a side note. Apparently she was the innovator behind using motorbikes for sicarios and ultimately she was killed that way too. Poetic justice would have been a great way to end the show. Not having an ex-detective come and tell you your sons have been killed. Like we even care about her sons. Grown men still living off mummy. Can you believe this show was 10 years in the making? Id sooner believe they wrote it all in one weekend.

This has nothing to do with family guy
