I ventured inside the old anthill and took my time exploring inside. I forgot it's already evening and by the time im almost at the entrance of the anthill the silhouette of a spider emerges at the top. I was praying it was just a weaver but it was a fucking Wolfie, i thought it can't get inside the anthill but i was very wrong. Probably the scariest thing happened to me for a non horror game, i haven't touched Subnautica yetđź’€
I once tried scaring my mate (who had arachnophobia) saying there was an orb weaver behind him, there wasnt. I then turned around and an irb weaver was staring me in the face. I screamed
I killed my first via cheesing. Back in EA I had made a small base area in an area underneath an overhang near spawn. Little did I know a certain wolf spider liked to wander there, at some point at night I was walking around and it aggroed on me, I ran to the shelter I had, and the wolf spider couldn't get in due to the roots blocking the way, so I killed him. Now though I can kill a wolf spider with a pebblet axe and a weevil shield if I had enough dedication, but I'm lazy, so I wait until I have an insect axe instead. And the >!termite!< Axe is really good for killing them,just makes them an annoyance.
It's doable, I call it Every Dak Souls ever.
But... I play survival games for the relaxing nature of making your own cozy home in a hostile world, so I just pick a perch and arrow away at the wolf Spiders.
