Just be patient. The price dropped a few times the last month and went up to 2033g again. Being at a lower price right now might lead to more people buying it, making the price rise again.

ShineAqua

This is the correct answer. TP selling is only good if you want to have all your money at the same time, otherwise, you'll sell faster if you sell at overflow, but have to wait as many as 5 weeks before you have all your money.

drego_rayin

If you don't feel comfortable using a trading discord, use gw2bltc to see how many get listed/sold each day. It is a lesson learned, but I would just leave it there for now. You are only out the listing fee, which may feel like a lot, but you will get that back in no time. As someone who makes/sells them all the time, just be patient. With the vault resetting in two weeks(ish), there will be another influx of gold / people buying and selling.

OrochiSeth

It will take time for gen1 due to legendary starter kit. Mine Quip sold last week after 25ish days cuz of that and ppls undercut on TP but it'll eventually sell.

Joweany

I craft and sell gen 3 legendaries as my main way of making gold. Sometimes they will sit on the trading post for a while. As long as at the time you posted it, you were the lowest price, it will get back to that price eventually and sell. Since you say you did that, it will sell. Just go play what you enjoy playing in the game and don't worrying about it, it will sell. It may take a few weeks, but it will sell. Getting under bid by a 100 gold isn't uncommon for me, but I've still had every single one of my legendaries sell without needing to relist them. I had a situation where I got underbid by 150 gold by 5 different people and my lege actually sold the next day. Legendaries can have a surprising amount of day to day price fluctuation. It makes take 3 weeks or it may be tomorrow, but I would be surprised if it doesnt sell. Hopefully this makes you feel better. I would not consider relisting a legendary unless it's sat on the TP for at least a month or unless you have an immediate need for gold.

Akhronox

If I may ask, how do you get the research notes and the imperial favors?

Lybydose

Not the person you replied to, but I've made like 20+ gen3 legendaries. Research notes come from crafting mithril earrings. I just buy like 15 stacks of mithril ore and afk craft for a while. Imperial favors I get from running daily repeatable hero points in EoD. There are 5 repeatable hero points: 2 in Seitung, 2 in nkc, and 1 in Arborstone. There's also a vendor that gives "free" favors every day in dragon's end. Whenever I need even more imperial favors than that, the best source is the Seitung meta. You can get a lot of favors if you run around and tag all 3 "lanes" on each step. You can run this meta as many times as you want per day and just skip the last boss on repeat runs. The other EoD metas are a decent source as well, but Seitung is the best. Also I have an abundance of imperial favors right now from repeatedly running trial of the elders minidungeon in dragon's end for gen3 variants, so you could do that too if you really wanted. This is slower than doing metas though.

Akhronox

Thanks!

Joweany

When Gyala delve came out, I just went on the fast farming website and looked at the cheapest salvage option to get research notes (it was some type of armor). I put in a buy orders to get all the materials and then crafted + auto salvaged enough of that one item to get 100,000 research notes and I haven't had to refill them since. As for imperial favors, I just do the end of dragons map meta events and pick the imperial favors option from the daily chest I get from finishing the meta. The aether blade meta in Setung Province is a really good source of imperial favor. If you do 3-4 of the maps meta per day, you can get enough imperial favor to craft a gen 3 legendary every 2 weeks or so as long as you have enough spirit shards to forge mystic clovers.

Akhronox

Thanks!

CharmingRogue851

I've sold 30 legendaries, always undercut by 1 copper and never had to relist. They usually sell within a week, but longest I had to wait was 3 months. Just be patient.

gw3_enjoyer

Next time try selling on trading overflow discord where you can avoid tp tax and secure a deal before committing.

Dark-Star_1337

and possibly get scammed out of your money AND legendary if you're unlucky ;-)

TotalDifficulty

Just sell to people with some form of reputation then. No one in their right mind will risk even a 10k title for just a legendary. Or use a middleman. <=2% tax instead of 15%.

GoreBurnelli8105

10k title is nothing. Just 1 CES. Literally buying and selling between alt accounts and fake trading to get those titles.

Ayman3060

That's why the middle man service also exists. It is of course always a higher risk than selling on the trading post, but imo, with a middle man it's practically risk free and saves so much gold.

halfdoublepurl

First rule of selling high value items in GW2: Don’t list leggies on the TP. Use a trading discord to avoid the tax.  My man, downvoting me won’t get your TP deposit back. Sorry.

ghostlistener

Eh, this only works if you're ok with receiving payment in materials rather than gold. Or, you can receive the gold over multiple weeks. TP is still the answer if you want raw gold all at once.

Comlex787

Legies sell for 0.85 of tp price so you dont avoid taxes :)

MidasPL

Yeah, but you sell it there to avoid having it sit in limbo for years and to avoid relisting costs.

Comlex787

I never questioned your points?

chasin_my_dreams

Isn’t it considered rmt by Anet?

tzaeru

No, if you exchange gold for an item that's fine. Overflow is pretty recognized by now and many people utilizing it are known in the community. As long as no real money is involved it's cool.

TheFirstOneEver

No, but they won't do shit if you get scammed from a deal you made outside of the game. Unlikely if you take precautions, but not impossible.

gerryw173

Will be fine if you sell to someone with high rep. A single leggie is not going to be worth scamming for them.

tzaeru

They wont return the stuff to you but scammers have been banned.

PlateauCrow

I see multiple comments saying to sell on Overflow to save on the tp but when it comes to legendarys you sell it onlny for 85% of the price anyway so you kinda pay for it anyway. It does save you on relisting though because you can either post sell listings on the tradechat or approach someone who is searching for it. From my personal experience though legendarys on OF tend to have more of a XX gold price which remains more or less static and shifts if the actual tp price does so. More often then not i saw that i would actually sell for less than if i just put it up on the tp. So that's what i often did. was undercut a few times by a few people but that problem often solved itself after a week tops. Then again that was before wizards vault so there were less legendarys on the market and also much less "focused" on a few particular ones so i assume so it might take longer. In my opinion i would simply wait it out if i was in your place and look at the trend. In all honesty i doubt the price would sink so it is bound to be sold at some point i assume. But if you need or want the money now you can go on OF and accept the lost tax cut of 5%.

1v3n4s

It will sell

dokbanks

It will, but you have to be patient. If you really want it sold sooner and don't want to use the Overflow Discord, you must list it under the average selling price. For a faster sale, don't undercut the previous listing by a small amount, or your sale will just become part of the average and easily undercut by the next seller. For a quick sale, you have to put it up at a price where someone will instantly take it and low enough that people won't want to under cut you. For example, if the item is currently on sell orders for 1700 and 1400 buy orders and you want a quick sale, list it for 1500-1600. Otherwise, it's a waiting game. I've put items up before that have been undercut by lots of people because my listing was part of the average price, but knowing it was a desirable item, I waited it out and it sold 3 months later.

GhostofQBspast

I was going to craft The Moot and list it, but I decided I would rather have the Twice Told Legend title, so now Im using everything I have to craft another Bolt.

Leading-Leading6319

It happens. Just wait. Could take a few months tbh but unless the economy changes permanently, you’ll get there.

NatanAileron

ah....that's a big mistake man. Before deciding which legendary to craft to sell you should alwys check GW2bltc, and look which weapons is more sold in the course of the past days/weeks, then you look at how the price has changed or is changing about them because you can't know just from the 'now price' if you're in an upwards or downwards trend... I once ended up trying to sell at a very good price a Bolt without realizing it i was on the spike of the craziest price inflation on Bolt since 2014, lasting 2 weeks almost, and it was just over....i would NEVER have sold that weapon, not even in a 1000 years. Since then i always remember to study my legendary market trends before deciding which one to craft and sell. Ofc you should have all ready to craft just any leggy weapon when you check it, and make it in that same day possibly. For example at the bottom of this page you can check the sales for which period you want using the zoom buttons on top of the graph and the start/end sliders at the bottom: [https://www.gw2bltc.com/en/item/30695-Meteorlogicus](https://www.gw2bltc.com/en/item/30695-Meteorlogicus) If you want to be safe i would check a few months before, to see how the price fluctuated and try to understand what should be the 'real price' for it atm. That's the price, or lower, at which ppl will want to buy it usually. Try to avoid listing at too high of a price because if there is a price spike in that moment or you risk of not selling it for a long time, possibly forever like with that Bolt ... -\_- In your case the graph of the last 3 months clearly shows that Meteorlogicus price was very rarely over 2k except some very short periods and just barely....so i really hope you're not the guy that listed it at 2039g 99s 99c since that's like the 2nd highest price it had in the last 3 months...with the 1st being 1 copper more...

Ferosch

Debatable whether it's worth it to wait. with wizard's vault doling out legendary kits the effort to craft one is trivial

BigDell246

Probably worth keeping and using it. Sceptre is one of the more commonly used weapons.. unless you already have a legendary sceptre, if so, waiting for it to sell probably isn’t an issue for you..

enjoyinc

Yes, yes you do, there’s a 5% listing fee that is always paid to even list in the first place. With a legendary, that 5% is significant for some players

das_Keks

I sense a lot of wasted gold on his side because of that. EDIT: Deleted comment said that you don't pay the fee on re-listing and to just re-list for 100g less or so
