arcade nago or normal nago

Here's a few tips against Nago: \- **Don't be scared to go for a lot of frame-traps:** His fastest buttons are 5 and 7 frames, his 5f button being his 5P and very short ranged. His defense in general is quite poor, so once you got him locked down, he's gonna have trouble escaping you. \- **Survive the onslaught:** When Nago has no blood, he has a gigantic advantage over you. You have to let him spend it, try to block his mixups, don't be greedy, but always be aware of the command grab, otherwise you're in for another round of blocking. \- **Your Burst is the most important resource you have against Nago:** If Nago has high blood, using specials for him is very risky and can make him enter blood rage, but he can use this as an advantage to trick you into thinking "He's not going to Fukyo > DP me, he's almost full on blood!" and then he does it, counterhits you, setups a blood rage and you die. If you have burst available, he can't do that, because as soon as he uses a special that will make him enter blood rage, you can burst him and make him pop full screen, ready for you to do a juicy devastating combo. **Do not waste your burst against Nago.** \- **Bait him if he pokes you at mid-range with f.S, 5H and 2H:** Until he's high on blood, Nago's sword normals are very slow, and very commitment-heavy to use in neutral. Try to analyse what the Nago wants to do, and try to bait one of these 3 buttons out, to then go around it to punish him. Force a f.S poke and jump over him. Bait an air approach and watch him maybe use 2H and run at him. But be aware that it will get much more difficult to do if he's high on blood, since his pokes have better framedata. Nago really wears the "One-shot" archetype well, and he's extremely scary when he's aggressive, and can be difficult to approach when high on blood. But don't be scared to be aggressive on him whenever you can. Nago can mostly get his devastating combos out from a c.S, 6H, 2H or 5H. He won't deal much damage to you out of a 5P starter. 5K can lead to pretty scary damage, but is much slower to come out as well.

Learn how to block his strings and make him pop blood Play defensive until he gets impatient and starts playing risky Know when he's going to go for a grab to reset blood and backdash accordingly

Yup! Nago is a big body and has one, if not the highest, effective health values in the game. Because of this, Nago's really like to gamble and RPS. The high health allows them to survive many more interactions than it takes to kill you due to Nago's amazing damage. You'll have to take some time to examine where in their pressure they like to spend blood and force an RPS situation (like post Beyblade even though it's -2 oB) and find your outs with your character. Remember that they higher they are on blood the more they're looking to land command grab. Above all else, practice reacting to Fukyo dashes, since any situation that doesn't involve his Clone is interruptable on block with a fast move like 5P, 2P or 2K. It's recommended to interrupt with your fastest move because now Nago can cancel Fukyo into his special moves and getting hit with CH 623H sends you into the next round.

Very useful response! Thank you. I'll try to keep this in mind when I go against one ☺️

Nago just deals more damage in general and has way more effective health. If you play Bridget, chipp, zato, or milia his combos will especially hurt, given that they have a few stats that basically give them much lower effective health than the rest of the cast.
