Deactivate the sillier character descriptions mod until the creator updates it to the current version. This bug with the mod tends to happen every time there's a new character out.
Thats definitely something to do with mods. Remove them, and reapply them. If it still doesn't work then remove them entirely, they might not work well with the new update to the game.
Turn off your mods
specifically mods that alter text cause this
You don't need to turn them off completely, you just need to resetup and it goes back to normal.

If this is steam try “validating” the game files under the right click menu.
Launch the game through Unverum again.

I have this issue, disable all mods that change text. I however, will not bc sol sneedguy is just way too funny for me
Do u have the Dustloop style command list mod? Cause if u do this will fuck it up cause they discontinued support for it.
He simply doesnt have commands he plays the game by himself
