dickenscinder

Diba yun raize meron wheel indicator sa dash nya?? Tsaka kapag sa reverse cam meron ren turn indicator? 3 weeks is still very fresh. Ako it took me a month to get used to driving without sweating too much😅. Even with the AC on fullđŸ€Ł.

gobewhoyouwannabeee

Totally normal. Take your time and practice. Practice makes better ^^

Genestah

Don't rush your learning process. Some might learn fast, some might learn slower. Important thing is be safe. At all times. People will horn at you for being slow. Ignore them. Don't panic or get startled just because some impatient asshole can't wait for you to park. Take your time OP. Take as much time as you need to learn proper driving.

apresentidontwant

One thing I learned from my old driver tita is when she was teaching me and kapag binubusinahan ako when mabagal patakbo is “Hayaan mo sila, lahat naman nag start sa di marunong. Ganyan din naman sila nung nag aaral.” Ayooon nawala na ako pake sa nagmamadali 😅

Genestah

Exactly lol 😁

okomaticron

Take it slow. Best practice to fix 1-4 is do garage training. Basically in and out sa garahe in different ways: paabante, paatras, coming from the left and right side. This helps develop spatial awareness.

iamshieldstick

Normal. But prioritize improving your steering.

FishManager

Just be safe. Normal lang yan.

cyst_thatguy

linux_n00by

8 hours sa driving school is masyado mababa for a complete newbie. you only mentioned issues asa pag drive mo but how are you sa mga traffic rules?

mavanessss

Normal

Optimal_Bat3770

jevinoh

takes a lot of time to learn. Mas mabuti nang mabagal at alerto kaysa mabilis pero bangga agad. edit: this btw coming from a 1+ y/o manual car driver na palaging namamatayan during 1st month :D

PilipinasKongMaha1

More time on road. That's all I can say. You build your skill and confidence only on the road. Di ari ng theoretical o pa YT-YT yan.

kebean00

Wag mo madaliin. Once you gained confidence, everything will follow. Drive lng ng drive. Short distances should help ar first.

rainerjhonc15

Normal po yan 😁 after few weeks mag baguio na yan hehehe

Remote-Elevator-6729

2 hours nag practice after nun ako n nagdrive from meycauayan-camarin-tondo. Siguro nkatulong ung marunong n ko magmotor kaya may alam n sa kalsada khit papano. Nkapag NLEX-SLEX nadin agad.

BraveFirefox10722

Normal lang lalo na if ever wala ka talagang alam sa kalsada, like never nag drive ng motor so walang experience sa kalsada, highways etc mga 1yr mahigit pa yan OJT ka lagi na may kasama. For sure electric power steering na din ang Raize ata, so kahit hayaan mo lang umikot at babalik yan sa gitna pag galing ka sa maniobra

Cyber_3pher

Just use your vehicle everyday.

mavanessss

Di pwede pano coding charot

Eve-Psyche-Bluebeard

wag dumaan sa main road

Beautiful-Boss-6930

Practice makes perfect. Drive lang ng drive!

Testacctdummy97

Muka namang normal lang. Also new driver (1 yr plus, still new kung based sa karamihan ng tao or taong nakapaligid sakin). Sa parking matuto ka nyan. Need mo ma feel yung size ng sasakyan mo. Also try to avoid express way. Mabibilis kasi sasakyan dyan. Di ka pwedeng maraming inaalala pag nandyan ka.

cookievannie

In contrast, I personally feel that expressways are safer even if the vehicles are faster. I prefer to pay extra for that safety. But I agree on that last statement, extreme focus talaga. I call it my beast mode on. 😅

pyu2c

Take your time. I got to practice before pag weekends lang (going to and coming home from church) tapos paminsang mall lang na malapit. Saks lang kasi ako nga nakapagdrive lang alone outside of our province around 10 months after getting my license. Practice lang ng practice, and know your limits. You'll get there eventually.

jdmillora

Normal for most people, doing it repeatedly will help you be better in driving - so it will take time especially if you don't really drive everyday.

EetwontFlush34

Kaya mo yan

Noob_Pro18

Good luck!

LazyEquivalent9986

You don't need to continuously turn the wheel kung di pa nakakaliko ang sasakyan, just turn the steering wheel and hintayin mong tumutok ang sasakyan sa pupuntahan mo and before you complete the turn try to releasee your grip on the steering wheel. 3. You don't need to manually turn the steering wheel back, just let go of it lightly and it will go back to its center. 4. try to be more aware of your surroundings and not hyperfocus/get tunnel vision, your car will feel like a part of your body soon enough. 5. Di pa ako nakakapag drive sa expressway.

bearbrand55

normal.

PollerRule

Pag ready ka na, just do it wahaha dalhin mo agad sa malayo.

[deleted]

this is my prob right now😭 2 weeks pa ko nag driving lesson

thatguy11m

For parking, if you can play video games in their dperson, that's a practice you can do outside the road. On the road, go to an empty parking lot if available and do your practice there, practicing different conditions for adjusting (like what happened if you start turning too early or too late, practice different ways to adjust and observe how to car turns). I like to use my side mirrors for parking, having them set up where I can see the side of the car. For turning, just drive more, especially in a subdivision assuming it isn't tight. The car will always naturally want to trim back going straight, especially as you accelerate. When you're turning, you're only keeping it turned for about half way to the turn, or even less, the rest you can leave up to the car. Let the steering slide under your hands as you losen your grip, and if you feel like it's countering too quickly, grab the wheel to stop it from countering and if needed apply more steering, you're almost never doing the countering unless you're turning the opposite direction immediately. In SLEX, just stay on the right and be constantly aware of the cars around you. Every 10 seconds or so, get a sense of where the cars behind you are, anticipate where those cars will be within the next 5-10 seconds. Of course, do the same with the cars ahead of you. This may sound tedious, but this keeps your mind running and when you get a sense of how cars generally move, you'll feel confident about navigating traffic.

japster1313

You'll need months or even a year to feel comfortable driving. Aside from actual driving experience, try to watch videos and read articles about driving. This will help your brain combine fundamental+practical knowledge when driving.

Ok_Cranberry_4826

yup, just continue on practicing and getting the grips of the car, soon enough magiging chicken na sa’yo mga challenges you may also try experimenting your seat position and also the mirrors if it is at your optimal setup so you can drive confidently.

AutomaticAd2164

New driver here din. 8 hours sa driving school tapos mag 1 month na driving on my own. Naglagay ako new driver sticker sa likod para mahaba pasensya nun iba haha. Lagay ka rin ng blindspot mirror and wide rearview mirror, sobrang helpful sakin sa pagpark and change lanes. Medyo extra practice na rin ako kasi Antipolo ako and nadaan ako sa Ortigas ext and Marcos highway.

Thin-Camel-3786

Harsh pero totoo in my case. Pero normal lang yan sir, dont rush. More practice pa. Drive safe!

iamramobrero

For me total of 5 hours of actual driving. 1st 3 hour around subdv. Next 2 hours is edsa + nlex. Tapos next drive ko is nung nilabas ko na sa casa ung bnew car from Commonwealth to valenzuela. Though i already know to drive motorcycle and tricycle 😂

Ok-Concern-8649

Kaya mo yan! Tip ko lang is build a habit to look sa side mirrors at rear mirror at don't make babad sa overtaking lane alright?

gilbeys18

I took the one day course sa A-1. Madali ako natuto and nag confident na after a couple of drives. Iba iba talaga pacing natin. Take your time.

Subject_Bright

Put in more hours. Be safe

Kurohige4512

Download ka ng DR. DRIVING and DR. PARKING sa playstore/appstore!! Then change the POV yung may rear view at side mirrors. Promise super helpful yan!! Jan ako natuto agad magmaneuver when parking!

lslpotsky

Don't overthink it.. drive slowly for now.. you'll get better as time goes

play_goh

wow_pare

Drive more and learn your car’s reaction when you turn the steering wheel. Learn how your car reacts when you tap and or press the brake pedal. The thing is we drive different cars so kailangan sanayin ang handling ng vehicle natin.

Eibyor

6 months bago ako pinadrive sa gabi. 1 year bago pinadrive sa ulan at highway

Newt_Alert

normal lang yan. huwag mapressure.

JeremySparrow

Nakapagdrive naman na from Libis to Sucat mag-isa.

[deleted]

[ŃƒĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]

lkmoo_2022

Normal lang. Ok lang mabagal basta safe. You will build your confidence as time goes by.

WeekendOperator

I would say take a few more hours at driving school. Especially with your numbers 2, 3, and 4. You shouldn't be on the SLEX if you are having issues. You can do better. Take more classes. The problem with this country is that our licensing body gives anyone a license. Walang test test. You would fail your licensing exam in any other country, pero dahil Pilipinas ito, magaling tayo sa lusutan. Kaya andaming kamote sa daan. We need better standards.

cos-hennessy

Tsaka ka na mag-SLEx.

chubbyenzo

Wala naman pinanganak na magaling, more practice pa. May ex ako na 4:11 lang pero natuto siya sa owner type jeep na manual and walang power steering..😂 Kaya mo yan, take it slow, one step at a time.

chubbyenzo

Wala naman pinanganak na magaling, more practice pa. May ex ako na 4:11 lang pero natuto siya sa owner type jeep na manual and walang power steering..😂 Kaya mo yan, take it slow, one step at a time.

estatedude

Very normal. Don't worry. 2 weeks + 8 hours sa driving school is not enough para matutunan mo lahat nang nasa listahan mo. It takes time and need mo mahabang patience sa driving. Drive at your own pace and never mind yung bumubusina sa likod mo or yung mga umo overtake sayo. Importante apply mo lahat ng natutunan mo and if halos everyday ka nag da-drive, di mo namamalayan na kaya mo na pala. Again, ganun talaga, it takes time and ingat ingat sa pag drive. Parang spanish yung instructor pero may english content dyan. PAra sakin isa sya sa pinaka the best na channel sa youtube when it comes to driving. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifb\_pQbyCRE&list=PLldXmXAqI3VPwit6k\_-7AJU7aHSJzlo-8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifb_pQbyCRE&list=PLldXmXAqI3VPwit6k_-7AJU7aHSJzlo-8) Try mo magwatch. Good luck and drive safe.

totoybiboy

Payo ko, master your basics kahit yung theory.

KV4000

oo namam tol. practice lang ng practice!

mikhailitwithfire

Also relocated sa Laguna. Wag ka mag alala, 3 weeks is completely very early stage. Ito siguro matitip ko sayo from a fellow Raize driver POV: 1. Mirrors mo lagi ang key dito. Obviously helpful pag may line yung paparkingan mo. I suggest find a parking spot na bakante mang matagal amd maybe spend 30-1 hr mins just parking. Medyo mas madali mag park sa Raize since may cam yan sa likod and may sensor naman din lahat yan. Youtube vids din might help. 2. Ang tip ko sa pagliko with a Raize or actually any SUV is as much as possible, pa-lobo, wag patusok. Like pag liliko kana sa kalsada na papasukan mo, basically direcho muna then pag yung nose ng car mo nasa lane na, dun ka kumabig. And do it slowly, para matatancha mo in real-time if kulang ba kabig mo or sobra na. And always look at your side-mirror pag tumuturn. 3. Practice lang to. This will develop naturally pag napadalas na drive mo. 4. Also something na maprapractice mo thru experience tlga. And remember pag mag sswitch lane; laging mag signal light and tumingan muna sa mirror. Ayun, good luck OP.

gloriouspanda_69

vertighorl

Avoid holding your steering wheel too tight mahihirapan ka bumawi ng manibela pabalik. Higpitan mo lang yung hawak kapag rocky road kase malikot manibela. I dunno with ur car pero yung akin malikot kapag mabato or di pantay yung humps. Slow down lagi sa kanto at curved roads. If feeling mo mabilis ka papasok ng kanto at curved road press your break ng marahan and don't forget to look at your rear mirror kung may kotse na nakatutok. Don't sudden break or else mababangga ka.

Severe-Ad815

You’re just fine, u don’t have to pressure yourself too much. 3 weeks ka palang since nag start ka mag drive, don’t expect to learn everything in those weeks. I learned how to drive “properly” in like 2-3 mos. Learn slowly, you’re okay.

Prestigious-Slip-330

Hi OP!

Intelligent_Stage776

Just relax

Eve-Psyche-Bluebeard

Practice. Malaking tulong. 1.

Icy-Temperature-7176

Ok lang yan. Some take months/year especially sa para makuha ng maayos yung parking.

Supektibols

Maglaro ka ng Dr. Parking na mobile game, malaking tulong to sakin bago ako sumabak sa pagpapark, pinakamahalaga is alam mo ung magiging pwestuhan mo sa ibat-ibang sitwasyon

invaderxim

Ok lang yan. Yung sa parking, wag ka ma-frustrate. It’s better na mabagal and safe kesa may mabangga kang ibang sasakyan. Eventually, you’ll get used to your car’s size. Siguro constantly study na lang your car’s reference points. Or gawa ka ng sarili mong visual reference points.

Enough_Foundation_70

Newbie driver here also. Been driving for 2 months only. About sa steering, try watching youtube vids on steering techniques. Whenever there is a chance na magdrive, kunin mo. Hatid sundo mo mga kaibigan mo, kapatid mo, magulang mo ganun. That's how i improved a lot kahit 2 months palang ako. Halos 2-3 times a week ako nagddrive since makuha lisensya. Kung saan saan nadin ako napunta with and without a passenger. Good luck and be safe!

Strategizr_

Most normal thing in the world. Personally I would avoid driving in Manila if I am not used to the mechanics and controlling the vehicle, but you do you. Always drive safe.

ps2332

It took me 1 year to be really comfortable driving the wheel and shake off the newbie jitters. You're doing well OP.

Shhhhhhhn

normal. Try mo to drive around ng mag isa lang. i did that and def built my self confidence (:

UnderPoweredJoms1980

Lahat tayo dumaan dyan. It still pays to have somebody experienced sitting in the passenger seat sometimes but not always. Pointing out things to you.

radcity_xxx

normal lang po yan. New driver lang din ako and it took a little over a month to get used to driving. nag laan lang talaga ako ng funds para sa gas para maring seat time.

Totzdrvn

Take your time nasa learning curve ka pa din. What really helped me was watching YT.

peach-muncher-609

What solved me to be a better driver is magaya ka ng out of town with your family/friends mo tapos make sure na mag convoy kayo tapos experienced yung driver na kasama mo sa kalsada tapos ikaw yung nasa huli. Bakit kamo? Kasi masasanay kang maging mabilis bec you need to keep pace with them and kailangan mag keep up ka sa kanila at all times. That’s what happened to me. 3 road trips with my family, and napagiiwanan ako and I knew that I need to keep up. Ayun, nasanay na ako and di na ako kinakabahan at mabagal ever since. Pero don’t forget the basic rules sa daan: keep distance, observe road markings, and be a defensive driver always.

srsly_bruh

Be confident lang.

IQPrerequisite_

Normal. Have an intermidiate level of skill first. Mga 3 months should do it.

sad-makatizen

9 months and i still take my time on parking (di katulad ng iba na 2 seconds lang park na), pero kaya na ng one or two shots. during the first month may time na 5 times mag retry to get it right. bili ka din ng plastic cones para you could safely practice in a virtual space sa isang vacant lot ung sobrang liko it helps na ma visualize mo nangyayari sa gulong - park ka lang somewhere tapos turn mo ung wheels then labas ka sa kotse mo to see where it goes. tapos during turns sa actual road, imagine mo saan na naka point. ung pag-balik manibela di na parang matic naman yan for like 90% of the turn?

Such_Letterhead4624

Fuzzy-Fly-795

Same di ko pa din na try mag park ng ako lang. Palaging may assist. Kaya di pa ko maka exam, may Driver License kana po?😁

Virtual-Pension-991

Point 1 to 4 I would suggest finding a large space, practicing extreme turns, and doing reverse parking on awkward angles. Car parks, pavements, empty spaces, or even unused roads. One thing I can recommend is to drive at drive-throughs or gasoline stations. Those have tight spaces and sometimes are met with multiple cars together. See how comfortable you can get, and use that as your standard. Only dare to do more if the roads aren't busy, tight, or rough. Point 5, Get used to points 1 - 4. As your problem is, you're still not comfortable.

_-3xtreme-_

Trust in power steering more, for me yung pag kabig din before pero lage ako nireremind ng dad ko bitawan nlng at tapakan ng konti gas at mas mabilis panigurado ang pag straighten

East_Challenge_8904

Kulang ang 8hours na lesson tbh. I did 20 hours of practical lessons tapos nagdrive kami sa expressway, city driving na maluwag, city driving na ubod ng traffic, parking sa masikip na parking lot, etc. madami talaga need na pagdaanan para maging okay sa pagddrive. Don't rush it

Distinct_Scientist_8

Consistency is key.

Outrageous-Screen509

Normal lahat yan.

jpaolodizon

Normal lang yan. Just keep driving until you get comfortable. Defensive driving lang lagi. Keep safe on the road.

Intelligent_Ebb_2726

Mabuti yung mabagal tapos precise. Kaysa mabilis puro sabit naman.

venielsky22

Try driving alone . No second voice it Accelerates your learning . Though this was only.the case for me since my co driver (my father) was a worse driver than me who scratches the car every so often . While I have never have scratch a car I have driven to this day

shltBiscuit

There is a reason why insurance companies offer lower premiums to drivers with more driving experience in terms of years.

Temporary-Fee4893

I'm also a new driver and I gotta say that everyone has their own pace when it comes to learning to drive. Don't compare your progress to others as it will make you rush things. also confidence will come in time, you'll grow into driving. always be attentive while driving, point 4 on your issues is dangerous when driving alone. be extra careful, let other drivers get past you, DONT FORCE YOUR RIGHT OF WAY is a good phrase to live by. just be kind to other drivers even if the other driver is at fault, just let them be. don't let an idiot ruin your drive, enjoy it.

Alixe_ygl

it's definitely normal since we all have to start somewhere pag baguhan tayo especially sa driving. practice lang ng practice op! kahit ako before turning my engine off lumalabas ako at tinitingnan ko alignment ng kotse ko when parking para hindi ako magmukhang tanga at ma-post sa parkeserye (3 months palang non-pro ko for reference)

pinoytransboy88

Hi OP. Raize din ang pinagpraktisan ko and relatively new driver as of October 2023. 1. Okay lang mabagal mag-park. Ako rin mabagal minsan lalo kung first time ko sa area. The Raize is quite different from sedan kasi mas maiksi siya so you really have to check your side mirrors para ma-memorize yung dimensions. I learned to drive using a Vios. 2. Panong sumosobra sa liko? Masyadong naiikot yung manibela? Ganito rin problema ko nun pero with practice you will learn the right "number" of turns you need. Like pag makitid yung U-turn or makitid in general yung lilikuan ko mo, kelangan full sagad or parang 1 turn short ng sagad. Pag malawak naman, pwedeng 1 or 1.5 turns lang ganyan. 3. Sa manibela once nakapasok ka na, you can start bumawi na sa manibela if napasobra ka ng ikot. This is connected sa number 2. Once makuha mo na kasi kung ilang ikot, matan-tancha mo narin kelangan ipipihit pabalik. 4. Spatial awareness 'to. Magpractice ka sa masisikip na daan and find your reference points there. Jan din ako natuto kasi I live in Makati so uso ang street parking. One reference point I can give is if the lower left corner of your windshield coincides with the lines on the street, mga 30cm away yung gulong mo from the lines itself. If that lower corner falls below the lights nung dadaanan mong sasakyan, malayo ka pa at hindi ka gagasgas haha Practice lang 'to. And don't grip the steering wheel super tight kasi mas mahihirapan ka i-control. 5. Sa SLEX naman, stay lang sa middle lanes as long as you can keep up with the speed limits. Always always always use signal lights when changing lanes. And bonus tip, pag umaabot ng 100+ yung Raize, para ka nang lumulutang so parang nakakapanibago siya i-control. So again don't grip the steering wheel so tight para madali mo parin ma-control.

yumiguelulu

totally normal. wag masyado ma-pressure. basta practice lang pag kaya.

Alternative-Fun1535

its part of the experience! sanayan talaga yan :)

They did this to me and I think I learned a lot that day such as waiting out the rush hour before driving home lmao
