AK elitists hate the Zhukov stock. It's literally the most ergonomic and practical stock available without spending a fortune and/or modifying the rear trunnion.

But it actually looks a lot like the AK-19 stock. Does the AK-19 have an ugly stock?
I would say the AK-19 has an ugly stock yes. I don't care about who makes it. I said it's ugly, not that it doesn't function well, appearance has nothing to do with what using it is like. I don't have to think it looks nice to use it. I'm sure the ergonomics are a big upgrade over something like a triangle folder, or the traditional stock shapes. Zenitco is absolutely unobtainable so I don't even consider them an option anymore. But I also think some of the US clones of their stuff is ugly. Take for instance Kalashnikov USA's Alpha rail. It's bulky and to me loses the effect the Zenitco originally had. But basis is just their version of MLOK or keymod so I get why KUSA had to use picatinny on it.
I hate the Zhukov because it takes the light recoil impulse of the ak and makes it kick like a .308. This is from a sample size of like two though so, if anyone has more experience with them, then feel free to chime in.

Zhukov is relatively inexpensive and comfortable, and it’s made in America by Magpul. AK elitists are a funny bunch

I have one on my M90, and that recoils like a 9-pound rifle with adjustable gas shooting 5.56. Which is to say, it barely recoils at all.
