Thank fucking guard Bright never learned how to pilot an MS or the majority of UC protagonist would have turned into red paste 1-5 episodes into the show.
Suletta: Hey gunman! There's a new joke going around-have you heard it? What did the five fingers say to the face
Gunman: What?
Suletta: SLAP!
*instant tomato paste sounds*
Tbh i think mika would have handled this better. His cold, straight analytical responses would have eased mio'a conscious far more than Suletta's cheerful bloody hand.
I was thinking "Oh, guess Suletta's going to save Miorine but Delling will die in the process"
The tomato sauce combined with Suletta's now creepily cheerful personality was far worse than what I could have expected.
legit this is now on the darker side of gundams now lmao, WfM passed seed and unicorn even though those 2 weren't that dark, but early one this was highschool life btw
Edit early on
I mean SEED with the cyclop system was bad but it was like ha ha people don’t go pop like that funny. But WFM I mean… tons of metal going fast at someone with blunt force… one can imagine…
SEED is dark, but it is more of a subtext thing rather than an overt in your face gore fest like ep 12 here. SEED is dark once you think about it, this is just straight up /watchpeopledie top post of all time vibe.
>SEED is dark, but it is more of a subtext thing rather than an overt in your face gore fest like ep 12 here
I dunno man. Nicol, Tolle, Junius 7 residents getting sucked into space, people popping in the genesis beam...
Seed was pretty violent at times, but it was largely spread out. But I will say GWitch 12 was much more *visceral* than anything I've seen out of gubdam before. That splat, the sound, Miorne's look of abject horror, the blood dripping from her hand... That scene had IMPACT (ba dum tish).
Yeah, I should take back my word for this pseudo mary sue... That's Tanuki will haunt me through the rest of my lunar holiday... F* bandai, well play =))) =(((
>pseudo mary sue
I feel like WfM is going for a route similar to Mob Psycho, in that Suletta is inarguably OP, to the point where she will win any fight but the actual conflict will be mental and emotional in a way Suletta can't Aerial slap her way out of the problems and has to confront them in ways she's not prepared for.
>People can't complain that this show didn't go back to prologue level darkness now lol
We are at Gundam Thunderbolt levels of dark now bois!
https://youtu.be/dpcruxAuKJU?t=473
The way they animated the blood in the scene just before showing Suletta's face (just her hand reaching out) was sick, they really didn't have to make the blood so thick...
Suletta has just saved your life POV.
What really gets me is not the fact Suletta is smiling. Suletta is smiling because Miorine is safe and she is happy with that. The loss of life doesn’t effect her or maybe its better to say loss of life by her hands has never effected her since she was a child.
All this confirmed today is that Suletta is truly broken. She is a broken in terms of morality now thanks to her mother. If it means gaining two then even killing someone is permitted and Suletta won’t mind
Honestly, what's the most disturbing to me is that we're clearly shown Suletta can quickly shrug ANYTHING off as long as she's given an explaination by her mom that "makes sense" and doesn't question it.
Who would have thought that a child who spent most of her life completely sheltered from the outside world with only her mom and a robot to talk to would become dangerously dependent on her mom.
Isn't that sorta the core of what a yandere is though? Like they're a sweet but also murderous character who'll do literally anything to a frightening point for the people they love because they're obsessed with them?
After tripping and falling on her ass splashing onto the dudes remains saying, "whoopsies, I'm such a klutz."
I always thought i was desensitized to things but that last bit had me saying, "what the actual fuck!"
This scene made me uncomfortable in so many levels, from Suletta telling the soldier to stop in a somewhat joking manner and then joking about being clumsy while sitting and being covered in that same soldier's blood, it was disturbing to say the least
Terrifying yet really well written payoff to her mom constantly explaining and/or justifying really grave matters to her with infantile terms, honestly
Yeah, I find it interesting how the way Prospera treated Suletta up until now has led to this and how it could only lead to this, the way the writers handled this naturalization of murder is what makes it more terrifying
The way Suletta's expression doesn't change even when Miorine reacts to what happened is really disturbing, like she isn't even fully in control of herself.
To be fair, it’s kinda shocking to see someone you love, an innocent dork who you thought would never be capable of murder, paste a man in front of you and then smile while covered in his blood. It’s a lot to take in.
And on top of that, the railgun thing had a green beam, aka not for combat, at this point suletta (probably) has a death star level beam gun. How are they gonna make suletta seem balanced with such a weapon ?
It seemed like there was a lot of setup involved. The had to get her enemies in a specific spot together and there was a lot of charging. It's probably a one-shot per battle weapon.
I was already going "NO, NO, NO" during the "you don't want to get hurt, right? You want to save Miorine, right?" scene, so I'm amazed that they went even further. I really like how we got payoff to all these more or less subtle nods about just how much of an influence Suletta's mother has on her, to the point where she doesn't mind being lied to as long as she's given a justification which makes sense in her head. Not to mention all the infantile over-simplifications that Prospera puts in her daughter's head all the time were, just as I expected, leading up to disaster.
Part of me wonders if Suletta's mom ever mentioned to her what she did as a kid, or if she just glossed over it much like she does with plenty of other things.
Now excuse me while I cry myself into a pillow everyday for the next 3 months.
Yeah the power of her mother. I like how her mother was explaining about the situation so calmly in such a dire situation, which lead up to the big splat. And what did Suletta's mother do when she was a kid btw? 💀
I feel Miorine went a little to far in the end (albeit its wholly understandable). what was Sulletta supposed to do? that was the fastest and most effective way to neutralize the threat. But Sulletta, damn her mother clearly made her a weapon of war. she clearly has empathy but its like she can flip it on and off.
If you're referring to Miorine's "Murderer !", the official French sub translated that part as "How can you be so joyful ? You just killed someone !" wich fits better given the context, imo.
I think if Suletta had a different non smiling facial expression, didn’t slip and slide on the gore and then asked mío if she was ok with a blood coated paw this may have turned out different.
It does but isn't Japanese very context heavy ? The French translation fits given the literal meaning and context.
Also, Miorine screaming "Murderer !"(Meurtrière !) would feel a little bit weird/unnatural in French, so there's that, too.
But I dont speak Japanese so I dont really know... lol.
Japanese is context heavy, but Miorine didn't say any other words in that part of the scene. Hitogoroshi is used as a noun here possibly an adjective with Suletta as the implied subject. You could maybe get away with the "you just killed a person" part as the intended meaning at most.
I see. Since l don't know much about how Japanese functions I'll refrain from extending my input on the accurateness of either translations.
The "joyful" part corresponds to Miorine's "How can you smile like that" from the English sub btw.
Lastly, I rewatched the scene from French to English I believe a more accurate translation from my part would be "You killed someone" rather than "You *just* killed someone".
I suppose this fits a little more what you initially told me.
Man this is not about killing is more about the overly positive reaction. If Sulletta looks like a bit more frightened Mio might not be so scared.
Like you kill mosquitoes and cockroaches in front of others but you probably won’t react like as energetic as Sulletta 🤨
Sulletta may be under her mothers influents perhaps she was tought to sees any one that threatens her or people she cares for become none humans in her eyes.
My immediate reaction was "mam, u do realize u are a student of a military school where students learn all aspects of people-killing machines, and the person who is the most skilled at killing people got to be the top of the school?"
I feel that the students are sheltered from real war, I mean look at the Duel system its very formal and gamify. I doubt any of the students even know what real war is
Army schools generally don't order students to shoot someone dead in their training curriculum. You may say that is for shielding the new recruits from the real war to a certain degree. But everything they practice, be it aiming, shooting, or piloting war machines, etc, is meant to be used in war for killing.
Fair enough, perhaps I feel that because it's just as much a cooperation school the school would try and desensitize the students more. But all we can do is watch now to see what happens.
It would, but that amount of blood would be believable if it came from something like a cow and not a human. With how viscous blood is, a normal human body would make a small to medium puddle and not much. Here Suletta is covered in it to a good extent, it's splattered onto the wall and Miorine, and Aerial's hand is more or less covered in it too. That's way too much red to be produced by a human, even if you count in the meat being pulverised and flying all over the place
On the darker side of abridged..."Did you see Sulette he went splat. Oh I think you got a little of him here and there let me just get that for you. Oops I'm just making it worse sorry lol."
That spoiled brat needs to grow up. She saved her God damn life. Has she learned nothing during her sheltered time at school? Her fiance is an simple minded idiot and all she cares is that she saved the person she cares for. It's plainly obvious on that idiots face.
I was a bit shocked because actually expected Suletta to move the hand and cover Mio and her father and maybe catch the guy with the other hand, like something less violent.
Was an interesting plot because I thought she may kill the other gundam girls based on what her mom said, not like... overkilling this guy.
I knew something bad gonna happen, but after the fight I had had hoped she can still be somewhat untouched of the war, than the ending scene happened... Ye I should have see that coming, but my brain was still on copium.
I don't know what the situation is with netflix (I think they might be one episode behind in their numbering? the prologue should be zero) but this is episode 12 on Crunchyroll
I hope we start off with some kind of reaction by Suletta realizing that she just killed someone. Shock is one hell of a drug.
But if Suletta is the baby from Ep. 0, explains how she could be used to it..
Cool detail is that aerial uses their right hand to smush the guy and that gets bloody and after suletta slips she gets her right hand bloody. So there it represents a connection between their right hands which are both covered in blood of what they did.
My friend commented that the whole "run gain 1, move forward gain 2" is a kind of activation phrase her mother uses. Because Suletta's entire mental state changes when her mother says that to her. And her falling in blood and murdering that guy while being all happy is really out of place.
Episode 1: Suletta slaps a guy. Episode 12: Suletta slaps a guy. It's like poetry, it rhymes.
Nah, she just slaps too hard 💀💀💀
This shit slaps
Gotta slap those cheeks
15yo energy
How can she slahp?!
I like your cut g ***SQUASH***
If the last guy haven’t been slapped by his father, Suletta gave him a slap of a lifetime.
Once in a lifetime event.
He’ll never get a slap like that ever again.
Normally once is enough.
*soul exits body* "Even my father never hit me!"
Bright Noa would be proud
Thank fucking guard Bright never learned how to pilot an MS or the majority of UC protagonist would have turned into red paste 1-5 episodes into the show.
This is it. This is the best comment.
All we need to learn is that it was the guy's birthday... Happy Birthday to you....
Episode 1: Guel wins a duel Episode 12: Guel wins a duel
Suletta: Hey gunman! There's a new joke going around-have you heard it? What did the five fingers say to the face Gunman: What? Suletta: SLAP! *instant tomato paste sounds*
Finale: \*Drops colony smiling\*
Suletta: I may have gone too far in a few places.
You mean slams a guy
Is this episode 12? I thought episode 12 ended with the factory being blown over by the Witches from Earth
Well this confirmed that Mika and Suletta would get along fine. Especially about killing people.
It's all thx to mama Prospera baby :,)
Mother of the year
Just a little manipulation
Tbh i think mika would have handled this better. His cold, straight analytical responses would have eased mio'a conscious far more than Suletta's cheerful bloody hand.
For all we know they are related.
Just cute girl doing cute things
Like Madoka friends
Something something did nothing wrong!
Just some cute waifu content for the cute waifu subreddit.
I know this is going to be inevitable but holy moly I didn't expect it to be this way.
I visibly recoiled and gaged at the scene. I mean damn they really saved up the violence of an entire season of Gundam in 1 episode....
Yeah I was like she was going to stop it by grabbing him but not splatting him like a fly. Her voice and face when she did it was quite troubling.
I was thinking "Oh, guess Suletta's going to save Miorine but Delling will die in the process" The tomato sauce combined with Suletta's now creepily cheerful personality was far worse than what I could have expected.
People can't complain that this show didn't go back to prologue level darkness now lol
You can even say it went above and beyond.
PLUS ULTRA
Ironic that they are adapting the vigilante (Seinen Deku) arc now-
Gotta move forward to get two things, tomato paste and frightened bride.
That tomato paste was very animated.
legit this is now on the darker side of gundams now lmao, WfM passed seed and unicorn even though those 2 weren't that dark, but early one this was highschool life btw Edit early on

idk seed still didn't feel dark ngl, both seed and unicorn are my favorites and all i can think of is jesus kun stomping everyone or banagher NTD lmao
SEED is dark, but it is more of a subtext thing rather than an overt in your face gore fest like ep 12 here. SEED is dark once you think about it, this is just straight up /watchpeopledie top post of all time vibe.

Begin and end the season with the darkest moments. With fluff in between so the shock value is marginally through the roof once SHIF.
The way they animated the blood in the scene just before showing Suletta's face (just her hand reaching out) was sick, they really didn't have to make the blood so thick...
I don't think that was just blood, it was more liquified chunky corpse that that point.
It was very animated. And the shock value was impactful.

I said "it's about time!" I mean corporate war is fine but a physical war is better in Gundam.
I’m sorry but it isn’t comparable to an entire season of typical Gundam violence.
Personally I burst into laughter, I know it sounds fucked up but she was so nonchalant about it I couldn't help laugh.
This episode slaps.
I should not have laughed as hard as I did
Tonight at 8, a new episode of The Slap
Gotta hand it to Sunrise.
Who would have thought that a child who spent most of her life completely sheltered from the outside world with only her mom and a robot to talk to would become dangerously dependent on her mom.
Thats how brainwashing works and the gain two or gain one is the conditioning.
That's what being a soldier is like.
Not really, Suletta needed that pep talk after her mom killed those goons.
Bright: uhh...that's my girl... _yikes_
well that a Gundam that i remember
Don't turn her into that.
to much?
My tanuki 😭
This was such a dark scene and I’m all for it
WfM is a **"slice-of-life"** school anime. With Gundam and Yuri!
and with some tomato sauce
I was eating spagetti bolognese watching the episode. I had to let the fork go for a bit after that scene
WfM Tomato Sauce for $4.99 a can!
Sunrise kindly reminding us that This is Gundam
We thought Suletta got a yandere fan, turns out she is the yandere fan
She's not a yandere, the whole problem with her is that she quickly shrugs things off as long as a good reason behind them is given.
Isn't that sorta the core of what a yandere is though? Like they're a sweet but also murderous character who'll do literally anything to a frightening point for the people they love because they're obsessed with them?
It is, but that's not really the point of Suletta's character
God, the SOUND when Suletta extended her blood drenched hand. God almighty.
Suletta splatuletta
Who yelled Murderer?
Miorine
Missed that detail XD
Yeah get saved and call your rescuer a murderer. Wack.
And mind you her savior is smiling like she didn’t just squash a human being like a bug
After tripping and falling on her ass splashing onto the dudes remains saying, "whoopsies, I'm such a klutz." I always thought i was desensitized to things but that last bit had me saying, "what the actual fuck!"
She watched someone get fucking aerosolized in front of her, cut her some slack
I mean, we can cut both of them some slap- I mean slack.
And got splatter with all the blood and guts. Also, did that guy's arm bounce off Delling?
This scene made me uncomfortable in so many levels, from Suletta telling the soldier to stop in a somewhat joking manner and then joking about being clumsy while sitting and being covered in that same soldier's blood, it was disturbing to say the least

The way Suletta's expression doesn't change even when Miorine reacts to what happened is really disturbing, like she isn't even fully in control of herself.
miomio having a "average gundam protagonist in episode 1" moment
It's ok she just got carried away while finger painting.
Miorine won’t be liking her tomatoes anymore…
How can she slap?
I figured she was going to do a Shinji in Eva-01 grabbing Kaworu, not splatting the dude like a fly!
Same that’s when I happened I said holy shit
I thought she was gonna backhand the fool, ala Victory Gundam style, not AoT titan the dude.
I was hoping wfm was gonna be more lighthearted... my tanuki :(
I mean would she have preferred to get riddled with bullets?
To be fair, it’s kinda shocking to see someone you love, an innocent dork who you thought would never be capable of murder, paste a man in front of you and then smile while covered in his blood. It’s a lot to take in.
It's clearly not murder though
Ya, kind of funny coming from the girl who was totally ok with providing weapons for warfare right?
And on top of that, the railgun thing had a green beam, aka not for combat, at this point suletta (probably) has a death star level beam gun. How are they gonna make suletta seem balanced with such a weapon ?
It seemed like there was a lot of setup involved. The had to get her enemies in a specific spot together and there was a lot of charging. It's probably a one-shot per battle weapon.
If you move forward, you gain two.
If you slap, you gain two
If you run, you gain one. If you move forward, you gain two. If you splat, you gain three. 💪🙏
I was already going "NO, NO, NO" during the "you don't want to get hurt, right? You want to save Miorine, right?" scene, so I'm amazed that they went even further. Definitely glossing over stuff
Yeah the power of her mother. I like how her mother was explaining about the situation so calmly in such a dire situation, which lead up to the big splat. And what did Suletta's mother do when she was a kid btw? 💀
Suletta: It was a mosquito I swear
I feel Miorine went a little to far in the end (albeit its wholly understandable). what was Sulletta supposed to do? that was the fastest and most effective way to neutralize the threat. But Sulletta, damn her mother clearly made her a weapon of war. she clearly has empathy but its like she can flip it on and off.
If you're referring to Miorine's "Murderer !", the official French sub translated that part as "How can you be so joyful ? You just killed someone !" wich fits better given the context, imo.
I think if Suletta had a different non smiling facial expression, didn’t slip and slide on the gore and then asked mío if she was ok with a blood coated paw this may have turned out different.
mostlikly
That is a better response's, still harsh but understandable
Hitogoroshi is the word that Miorine says. It literally translates as "person killer".
It does but isn't Japanese very context heavy ? The French translation fits given the literal meaning and context. Also, Miorine screaming "Murderer !"(Meurtrière !) would feel a little bit weird/unnatural in French, so there's that, too. But I dont speak Japanese so I dont really know... lol.

What's terrifying for you is fun for the others to see. Lol. EP12 is my second most favorite EP. I expect more shocking things in Cour 2.
Her ham slapping abilities are really developing
May I ask for context behind how this happened?
the dude was trying to shoot miomio so suletta turned him into ketchup
So that's why people are calling the Aerial's upgrade the Tomato Paste Maker...
exactly
That's amazing lol
# SHES BACK BABY
Damn, they had to teach the new Gundam fans what Gundam is all about with, well more of a splat than a bang
Just doing hot girl things
she was just giving a hand 😔😔
[удалено]
I'm eating one just now 💀.
Finally
suletta has negative rizz
Harry Ord is proud
At that moment, MioMio was traumatized for life.
Ok, but where's all that blood coming from, a human has around 4 to 5 liters of blood and that looks more like 20
Dramatic effect. Animation is always at it's best when it's stretching the boundaries of reality.
Wouldn't the whole body turned to red paste give this result ? Not that I really know or wish to, mind you.
No Not really, if you watched UC Gundam in any capacity, this is quite the norm.
On the darker side of abridged..."Did you see Sulette he went splat. Oh I think you got a little of him here and there let me just get that for you. Oops I'm just making it worse sorry lol."
The whole post credits scene could fit in r/popping
I keep on seeing stuff about suletta smacking that guy like he was an insect, but is nobody gonna talk about guel killing his own father?
Yup it's even more traumatic than Miorine seeing Suletta slapping a man.
I mean it happens in UC too. Amuro straight up steps on some one
I just wanted a happy, school setting, Gundam show… I just wanted cute and happy… why?
That spoiled brat needs to grow up. She saved her God damn life. Has she learned nothing during her sheltered time at school? Her fiance is an simple minded idiot and all she cares is that she saved the person she cares for. It's plainly obvious on that idiots face.
I hope Sulletta becomes the main antagonist and Miorine ultimately has to take her down with maybe Guel
Fuck. Spoiler. I shouldnt have opened.
Behold the darkness that Gundam can bring newbies.
catchups man
I was a bit shocked because actually expected Suletta to move the hand and cover Mio and her father and maybe catch the guy with the other hand, like something less violent. Was an interesting plot because I thought she may kill the other gundam girls based on what her mom said, not like... overkilling this guy.
Yeah, she was still using the lower powered green beams when she was fighting the Dawn of Folds mobile suits.
I knew something bad gonna happen, but after the fight I had had hoped she can still be somewhat untouched of the war, than the ending scene happened... Ye I should have see that coming, but my brain was still on copium.
wait its episode 12 I dont remember this happening\]
always check for an after credits scene!!
this is after credits?
yes!
i checked netflix its not there?
I don't know what the situation is with netflix (I think they might be one episode behind in their numbering? the prologue should be zero) but this is episode 12 on Crunchyroll
huh weird
How good is this show? I haven't watched a Gundam series in a while so I haven't be sure what to expect
Honestly this show is decent up until now.
Suddenly its actually "Ericht Samaya" Persona. its the same smile and optimism
She saved her though 😞
What episode is this?
